Wasted My Time

Followed directions for opening. Cut off nub and punctured and removed seal. The adhesive was so thick it would not flow from the tube. Wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing. Either the material was faulty or too old and had begun to cure.

Great product

Had not used this before but it worked great for securing a couple bricks that had come loose. Very sticky and a little hard to apply but when dry, the bricks were as secure as if I had added new mortar. Highly recommend for any concrete or brick repairs.

Pretty darn good stuff

Great product for laminating wood or for filling voids. Many many uses with this bathroom renovation of mine. Must admit, I think I like Liquid Nails “Extreme” better. Power grab seems to be a little more pasty and it costs a little more. Both products dry very hard but I’m still choosing Liquid Nails “Extreme” over Power Grab.

Amazing hold, application may be difficult

The Power Grab Ultimate Construction Adhesive does what it states....it holds objects together tightly. I used the product to install foam insulation in the basement because the recommended glue was not available. Once set, the product did its job as advertised. Even though the glue was outstanding, dispensing the glue through a caulk gun was extremely difficult. The glue is extremely thick and took a long time to apply to the product. I thought I could warm it up in hot water, but the results were the same. I ended up cutting open the side of the tube to apply manually. The adhesive is outstanding, application my be difficult.

It will ruin all of your projects.

I would give this a negative amount of stars if allowed. Absolute worst product ever. Unless you are trying to have it explode all over and essentially glue you to whatever is near do not buy. Not like typical caulk or glue tubes. This one bent pieces of metal trying to open and then the threaded cap blew off and the top and bottom of the tube couldn’t hold the pressure. Destroyed hours of progress with the mess that I would rather use Elmer’s glue than this.

Yes, its completely different than the original

This is the one you want. The regular powergrab really is garbage, and yes this is really worth the extra price. after going through so many reviews, i had got the original powergrab, and it failed in so many ways it was pitiful. i can't believe that i somehow convinced myself to try this ultimate version, but i'm so glad i did. it is hands down the best contruction adheasive, along with being great for outdoor caulking, filling joints, and even the best painters caulk ive ever used in the world. so pay the extra and get this if you need a think non shrinking non cracking strong adhesive.

Works great, fiendish design to open

I used this after trying Loctite Power Grab All Purpose to attach some 2" x 2" ceramic tiles to a wood substrate. 12 of the 18 tiles attached ok with the All Purpose, but 4 did not -- I could easily lift them up 24 hours later. The Power Grab Ultimate stuck them down with no problems.

[Rewarded Review] good heavy duty great glue

As a trim carpenter I use this glue for many applications.I used this for putting bead board planking on a 100 yr plaster and lath wall. Usually you blind nail this type of planking but you run the risk of blowing out the old plaster with a lot nails.I only used a couple brad nails to hold each plank in place. I had to remove one board and replace with a different board after the glue had dried. The finish layer of plaster came off not the glue. The great thing about this glue is use can use a lot less nails (less filling of holes) to hold up trim etc., plus I think this stuff will stick to anything. Word of caution don't use on anything you may want to remove any time soon like a 100 yrs. Loctite rocks

[Rewarded Review] “Super Strong”

After reading others reviews here I was going to use this product, but I tried it anyway based on the majority of 5 star reviews. This is the best bonding product I have every used, grabs and holds with in 10 minutes. And talk about holding power Wow!!! Those who had the tube exploded in their chalking gun must not have ready the instructions before trying to dispense the products. Simply cut off the tip of the tube will not dispense the product out, you must unscrew the nozzle tip and remove it. Then cut off the tip of the tube that the nozzle screws on to, then poke a hole through the seal just inside of the tube. Once you had done that screw the nozzle back on to the tube, place the tube in to your chalking gun and go to work. Used this product to lock down the metal tracks for the T-Molding and Threshold Strips for a laminate flooring job I’m doing. The results in got are awesome, this is my new go to adhesive!!!

I received this product free for an unbiased review. I'm in the process of converting a van into a camper and have been using a caulk-adhesive brand that has been around for more than 40 years. The adhesive is used to secure wood to metal (along with screws) vertical supports so paneling can be tacked to the wood.

The Power Grab Multipurpose Adhesive works great! It can be used on a variety of surfaces. We used it on a new building we are putting up, used it to reattach a hard plastic fended (on a child's riding toy), reattached a wood facing strip to the 1x6 pine board in our utility room and to secure a child's wooden chair leg. It worked great on all our projects, although the outside ones required more than 24 hours drying time. I live in Piedmont NC and the humidity has been high here recently so that may impact the curing time. Also it is very difficult to work with unless you heat it. We learned to place it in a plastic bag and let it sit in boiling water for approximately 15 minutes before use. It sticks quickly although as the product states, you can wiggle it into the proper place for about 10 minutes after placing the surfaces together. It works well (after heating) and i would recommend this product. The pre-warming requirement should be on the label of instructions.

Loctite Power Grab Ultimate White Interior/Exterior Multi-purpose Construction Adhesive is better for a variety of jobs, especially if it should be white as a final color. I have used other products but they are usually tan.

I love this stuff..Power Grab is amazing. I have used it before I got it free for an honest review. I remodel furniture, some of it really falling apart. I had a problem with a 1890's Chiffonier..it was falling apart...the drawers had to be rebuilt, the bottom had to be put on all new...and this Construction adhesive helped.. Without this strong adhesive I would not have been able to finish it...

[Rewarded Review] I didn't think that you could improve Power Grab

I have been a fan of the power grab line of products since they came out. The whole range of products from construction adhesives to plastic adhesives. But I had an opportunity to try out the newest flavor of Power Grab "Ultimate" and I had just the project for this test attaching new Post Formed Laminate counter tops to new cabinets. The product worked like a champ it had initial grab and hold that was important to me also it stayed where it was put it doesn't ooze out / flatten out and spread leaving voids like other products who shall remain name less. I especially like the fact that the nozzle can be unscrewed and cleaned out then reinstalled onto the tube, the only thing that would make it better is a removable tip cover like the silicone caulking tubes come with.Try out this new product on a tough project, I think you will like it's instant grab and holding power, easy cleanup and the no creep character of this adhesive.

[Rewarded Review] Great adhesive but hard to work with

I used this product on several projects that included and it is a very good construction adhesive. It stands true to the "power grab" name and it did hold things in place right away. I have a feeling if you are adhering anything to a vertical surface that has some weight to it that the item might sag a bit before adhering, but this is the case with any type of construction adhesive. I used it for a few wood projects and also to adhere some landscaping blocks that had broken loose on a small patio wall. So far the adhesive is holding up nicely and doesn't seem to want to let go.

Bonded Cement Board and Acrlyic Tub surround

I could find no products that would bond to cement board and an acrylic Dreamline shower surround. Dreamline recommended Power Grab Tub Surround to wallboard. But I had used cement board and it would not hold just as it says on the tub. I could find no information on gluing tub surrounds to cement board. Apparently not normally done. With scraps cut from the acrylic, I did an number of experiments. I tried heating the Ultimate to 150 degrees, the spout comes off so easy to fit in the pan. Adhesive really worked! But still very hard to get out. Then heated to boiling. Came out like butter. Spread on the surround, one tube for each side of the corner shower. It grabbed as advertised and allowed positioning just right. Did not require support. Perfect - just what I needed. Got me out of my jamb with the cement board. Heating in a plastic bag in boiling water needs to be in the instructions.
