Very poorly Designed Knobs

I purchased this model about 4 years ago. It has worked well EXCEPT the on/off knobs are very poorly designed. They feel substantial but the piece that attaches the the valve stem is cheap plastic. I have had to replace 3 of them due to the plastic stem cracking. The torque created when you push down & turn the knob (DG94-01512B Cooktop Burner Knob) is too much for the poor design. Only can buy from Samsung at $150-200 EACH!!!! They only last about 12 months before the stem starts cracking. Stem should be metal not plastic!!!

Samsung Cooktop

The cooktop itself is great. We would have preferred someone come out to take measurements for us as we were unable to easily measure the cutout, but in the end the installer, an independent handyman, made it work for us. We also weren't told we needed to differentiate between gas and propane setup and didn't see other than gas or electric to choose from, but again, the installer was prepared to convert it from gas to propane for us. He was top-notch.

cooktop é excelente. melhor aquisição da vida! há tempos que aguardava um produto que não decepcionasse. Foi ótimo a samsung trazer esse cooktop ao mercado brasileiro. O valor é elevado, mas é a qualidade e a durabilidade que este produto entrega. Se comparar a outros modelos esse se sai na frente. Ainda mais por ser um produto para casa conectada. Isso para mim faz toda a diferença! minha mãe tem problema visual, entao você ter um cooktop que possa ajudar em questão de segurança e praticidade faz toda a diferença! Os botões são retroiluminados que ajuda muito saber se está ou não em funcionamento. Ótima compra para durar anos! outra coisa é a limpeza, mesmo estando sujo não é dificil de limpar. O tampo parece que tem um tipo de tratamento, então para limpar vc não sofre tanto. Estou começando a montar a minha casa e a intençao é automatizar a casa toda. vamos ver se até o final do ano eu termino.

After using this cook top for 4 months, here are the issues I have found:

At initial install this was gorgeous and I loved it, within 6 months the finishing had begun to detoriate despite limited use and no harsh chemicals. 15 months in, already looking for a new product, since not only does it look awful in my kitchen now many of the burners struggle to ignite causing a gas smell while trying over and over again and it’s no longer covered in warranty. I wish I didn’t buy.

Poor quality.

I purchased a Samsung frig ,double ovens, gascooktop ,and a dishwasher and I have had problems with every appliance. I would never buy another Samsung product.

Great Gas Cooktop

Love, love, love this cooktop. Easy to use. The heavy/thick grates evenly distribute the heat. Items heat up quickly, including boiling water. Was concerned it would be tight to use all burners at one time. We've had up to 4 burners running at the same time, with no issues.

We installed the Samsung Gas Cook Top when we put in new counter tops. I really enjoy working with it. It's real easy to clean and it's so much easier cooking on gas vs electric. Our only issue is it makes hissing sounds every once and awhile, Everything I read says it the gas line regulator, which insurance will pay for if we buy it, but we have to pay the labor cost which is $500 plus We've only had it a year
