Poor Quality Control

I had to order twice due to the fact that the 1st order was in pieces. The way they were shipped in basically a cardboard box with little protection is not acceptable. I get products from other companies that are well protected when not even necessary.

Wouldn't have any other type....

We have bought 5 of these through the years and 2 different homes. They flush everything! No need to flush the toilet any more after each piece of toilet paper. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that one of ours had to be replaced is that water stopped coming out of the front holes to wash the bowl. We tried everything recommended to us by the company, but had to replace it...the new replacement leaks a drop very slowly and we can't seem to get it tight enough to stop it. The company is great to work with... even after many years pass. they are sending us new parts to try to stop the leaking in this one

Piece of crap

This toilet does not flush anything unless you hold the handle down. A plumber that installed this toilet said that is very common with this toilet. Made all adjustments that was suggested to try and fix the problem and also took the toilet back off to verify there was no obstruction. We have ordered the Nuflush valve that has been claimed as a fix. We will wait and see. Very disappointed with this toilet.

Solid Toilet

Just installed toilet and used thusfar for 4 days. Installation was easy and first flush was excellent. No leaks and no adjustments were needed. Only time will tell. This will be my 4th American standard toilet installed in my house which dates back to my first toilet installed in 2013.

Toilet arrived quickly and in great condition. I haven’t installed it yet but the customer reviews are what lead me to purchase this brand and model! Hoping for the best!

family member is in Love with her new toilet

I purchased this toilet as a gift for a family member who has had some serious medical issues. She loves her toilet! Loves that it is the higher height, is more comfortable for her needs & removes all waste quietly & efficiently.

Poor design

Product is a Champion toilet. After installing 3 years ago I have had to replace the main flush valve 2 times and the upper seal about every 8 months.

defective blue seal

The blue seal is critical to the flush operation and leak control. It leaked with only a few months use. I had to replace the blue seal due to internal blisters that fill with water and are due to substandard manufacturing processes. A replacement blue seal should be provided free of charge.

terrible design. toilet runs every 5 minutes

I am a retired master plumber and I installed this in my house 8 months ago. ever since it was installed the toilet would run about every 5 to 10 minutes. I have replaced the gasket and "o" ring with official American Standard parts 3 times, the last time yesterday and it still runs. This a terrible design. I guess I'll hav eto replace with another brand.

Not good

Thought I was getting a toilet with a powerful flush, but it doesn’t even flush toilet paper, so it’s doubtful it would flush golf balls! It leaves residue and takes multiple flushed. So disappointed!

Toilet leaks

Our Champion 4 toilet leaks. I've replaced the entire flushing system and it still leaks. You can hear the water dripping when you're in the bathroom. Looked on line to try to find a fix to this problem but haven't found one that works. Don't buy this toilet unless you want to pay HUGE water bills.

Awful

We installed 3 of these toilets in our house last year. The chains that connect the flapper valve to the flush handle are trash. They get tangled up and allow water to run full blast until you realize what’s going on. I mean how hard is it to provide a tangle proof chain? Hasn’t that been figured out like 100 years ago? Shame on your design team. Worthless.

Problem with toilet

I bought the champion 4 max about two years ago, it works great and nothing hangs up. Two weeks ago the flapper started leaking and we would catch it and remit the flusher and it would seal. Two days ago the fill valve hung up and I just talked to American standard and they are sending a flapper to me this once because we could not find the receipt. What good is filling a warranty card if they can not use this and they must have a receipt so my fill valve will still hang up. This is a great toilet I would buy it again but make sure you keep the receipt for warranty because warranty card sucks.

Own two, would buy a third.

When I moved into my current house, I replaced the existing toilet due to a crack. My rental property need a new toilet and considering I've never had one issue since my first Champion 4 Max I bought 5 years ago, I bought another for that property. Includes everything you need in install, flushes fast and forceful, and never have to worry. Worth the extra money compared to other brands, great value.

Problem

I've had two flushed that wouldnt go down, after a bowel movement.Any ideas?

I work for Paramount Picture Studios in the plumbing department. We have been using these toilets for the past 4+ years, swapping out older 1.6GPF or higher use toilets to this Champion Pro model. Even with the heavy use, these have stood up to the test and have performed great.

Flush with authority

I bought and installed this toilet 20 February 2019. I am very pleased with this Champion toilet, it flushes with authority. I replaced the original contractor’s toilet with the Champion. Best choice I made this year. I bought my toilet online, so it did not come with a wax ring or toilet lid. I am certainly going to replace another toilet in house next year with the Champion. Eventually, all toilets in my house will be American Standard.

Did the unthinkable

We bought this toilet over 4 years ago and it has been great. We have not had any problems and everything goes down. That was until today. I clogged it up. I’m not sure if my 2 year old has flushed anything down it but it’s clogged.
