Weird tie ins

Showed up with a rip already in the futon mattress. The tie in's seem to be just vinyl stitching. Everything else is good. Poor quality in the pillow stitching.

Not 10 inches

Not 10 inches. Makes it to 5 inches after 2 weeks. I can feel the wood futon frame I bought for it. It also has a weird smell but not good. Price went down after 1 & 1/2 weeks and bed bath would not adjust for me either.

Absolutely beautiful!! The color indigo the plushness all superb! FedEx brought to my door but wouldn't help me take it Upstairs one flight. !! I'm 72 it was very difficult!!

I didn't read many reviews. Sounds like it's hit or miss on the comfort and quality. I missed and if you miss your mattress is rather floppy and the comfort is a 3 out of 10 for an adult... a kid probably wouldn't mind it. I would return but apparently that's an issue to ship it back. May the odds ever be in your favor if you order one.

Natural = White

I am confused. The "natural" color shown in the color options was significantly more... yellow than this. This is just white. Yes, I'm docking the mattress 2 stars for this because, when I order a product, I want it to be at least similar to the item I see in the picture. I have not yet contacted Overstock to see if this is a mistake. I will do that now.

Futon mattress

Futon is correct thickness full size and arrived earlier than expected. Color was described as Sage but is a more grayish sage color than a green sage. Also softer than I expected as it was described as medium density composed of cotton and foam. When I opened it and reach inside there was an egg crate piece of foam ~ an inch thick wrapped in cotton.So it would be helpful to know specifically how much is foam and how much is cotton as that determines the density.

Color is spot on! Delivery was great, no damage on delivery. So far it is sitting upright and is comfortable to sit on. I purchased extra covers for the mattress. It's going into the bunkhouse at the cabin, so I wanted to protect the mattress a little more. Lots of boys using it.. so hopefully it will survive them. I am glad I got the thicker mattress. It's on a metal frame. We are thinking about adding a piece of plywood to keep the mattress in the best shape possible for as long as possible.

I have been itching since I started sleeping on this futon about a week ago. I have enclosed it in a zippered waterproof cover but still I itch. It's supposed to be 9 inches but it's more like 6 in the center & 8 at the corners. I would like to know how I can return it. I threw the box away. This futon is so heavy I can barely move it . Like pushing a bag of rocks.I started a return on 9/10. Overstock said UPS would pick it up by 9/12. It has NOT. The futon is boxed up and blocking the door. But at least my itching has stopped. Returning this is an ordeal. The tracking number overstock provided says this item is on the way. Actually it was never. picked.up. I will NEVER shop here again.My return was FINALLY picked up today-- 9/16. I have photos .

Would not purchase again.

This futon mattress compressed from 9" (It was never the 10" as advertised) down to 5" in less than 2 months. I can feel the wood slats of the futon frame when I sit on it. I specifically order this thicker mattress to avoid this situation. What is this thing filled with that would compress that much in less than two months? Paper mulch? It's not real cotton batting I can tell you that. The stitching on two of the seams is starting to come apart. To add insult to injury, they want to charge me $** to return this thing. That's half the cost of the mattress! I would not recommend this item to anyone. I don't understand why it gets so many good reviews.

This mattress is currently spending the winter in our garage. Due to odor. When it arrived, it had a very off smell. Like urine. Now I'm certain it wasn't truly urine, but the odor is quite off-putting. The smell was so strong that the DAY it arrived, my cats took it upon themselves to relieve themselves all over it. I've tried everything to clean this thing (vinegar and baking soda, dish soap, laundry detergent, pet sprays, Febreze ) but to no avail. I'm ticked. I don't want to buy a new one especially if a new one arrives with the same smell. I feel I've wasted money on this thing and can only hope six months in freezing weather can air it out enough for me to try cleaning it again this spring.

Great, comfortable futon pad

I had an old futon frame with a black thin mattress. My daughter got a new apartment and wanted to see if this would work. Saw this mattress on sale and decided to get it. Our frame was 2 inches shorter than the stated mattress length but it fit in nicely. I didn't expect a full 10 inches in height using stated padding and it is actually about 8 inches once it is stuffed into our futon frame. But it looks great! Be careful with the color. The pic shows a pale pink but the offering is toffee. The mattress pad is definitely a beige toffee. I explained this to my daughter but she bought some pillows with bright blues & pinks anyway. They still look great. She has been using this for about a month with no problems. I highly recommend this for others.

Don't Believe The Hype

This mattress is not 9-inches. Just like a quarter pounder you buy from *** , it's the advertised amount before you touch it. This mattress literally deflates underneath you. It's a shame too because I really wanted to purchase a nicer futon mattress because I live in a small apartment and this is basically our living room couch. But sadly it's visually appealing and tha is pretty much it. I have measured the mattress to show the exact thickness after a couple of weeks of use. That is truly what you are getting. I hope this at least serves as a warning to those of you who are as interested in getting a nice futon mattress as I was. My advise is to keep searching.

great fit!

My daughter wanted a futon for her room for Christmas and has been asking for one for a while now. I was dead against it, because well...Futon mattresses are crap. I didn't want her to use it as her every day mattress, so I suggested getting a loft bed, where she could use her regular mattress up top and a futon as a couch below, and make it a little hang out spot for her and her friends. I did a little research and found this gem on *******.com for about $***...and then found it $** cheaper here on overstock and free shipping. When I received the mattress, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Very thick, very supportive...very nice. The color matches her sheets and the tapestry on her wall perfectly. As described. I highly recommend this mattress if you are going w/ a futon, you aren't paying any more and the quality is much better!

So glad I bought this

Purchased this to replace a worn out futon cushion. I paid $*** for a premium Otis cushion 8 years ago from a local furniture store, and frankly, never found it all that comfortable. I debated between the 8-, 9- and 10-inch mattresses, and after reading the reviews extensively, purchased the 10-inch. I was concerned that this may be too thick to properly fold into my futon frame, as I only use it as a couch. Well, it folded in perfectly and is not sliding forward at all - which was a constant annoyance with my previous mattress. As soon as I unpacked, it came up to at least 8.5" right away, and within a few hours, came up to a good 9". I find it to be that perfect "firm yet soft", or "soft yet firm" that only a futon gives you! I chose the sage color, which is pretty accurate to the color swatch - love the color! Barely any chemical smell as other reviewers have reported. To summarize: Good quality product, excellent value, excellent service from Overstock.
