Leaky Disappointment: A Flawed Backflow Solution

Falls short of expectations. After proper installation, the gasket frequently fails to create a secure seal, leading to water wastage and frustration. Until the design or gasket material is improved, this product cannot be recommended.

The rubber seals for the unions were pretty thin and cheap.Basically you hand tighten them and then give them a tiny little snug with the Wrench. If you over tighten them they roll and it leaks. In the installation for this VB I needed them tight as is was a tight fitting install. The whole VB flexed as I was tightening it up. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I like my fittings very snug or crank them down tight.
