it looks nice and bignwhen it arrives until, you try to get the tempatures correct. drinks will all freeze up while frozen foods dont freeze. didnt receive anything to show what the settings should be or anything and cant get any information online. not sure if the frozen section is top or bottom and adjusted each one with no prevail. its quit frusterating and think. i think i threw away over 300.00

I plugged it in a week in advance before my trip to see how it would work. It sat in the RV with no AC on with outside temperatures above 100 and the freezer only drop 2 degrees and the fridge only drop 1 degree. Made a 6 hour trip without being plugged in and the temperature only drop by 6 degrees. Be sure to use the baskets, if you take the baskets out, it will not hold the temperatures as well with items in cooler

It’s convenient to not have to deal with ice and water to refrigerate. The only drawback is that it warms up after power is shut off pretty fast.

Keeps the temperature you set, even in the desert!

Went camping this summer in the desert where day time temps reached 115°F. This cooler kept our food cold even when the inside of camper reached almost 100°! I definitely recommend this cooler! Also, as a bonus you can use it at home with the included AC adapter… great for those moments where you run out of fridge space and need a backup!

Faulty unreliable product

This product was initially working very well, keeping food/drinks very cold. However, after a few months of use, it stopped working properly. Essentially, it was unable to maintain a temperature below 20 degrees C (68F). No matter how we adjusted the settings, the temperature remained high or simply displayed 'LL'. The fridge was reading almost the same temperature as outside. This has simply become a very expensive storage box, with no cooling or freezing capabilities. Do not purchase this product. It is unreliable. The company (Costway) had very poor customer service and made minimal effort to rectify the issue. This fridge was bought for use in a remote location in a hot climate. There is no way to return the product or have it serviced. Considering it is marketed for travel and camping, I am incredibly disappointed.

We live aboard a sailboat and this works great

We live aboard a sailboat and needed to expand our capability to freeze food. Not only does this unit work very well, it draws a lot less power than we thought it would since we run it off our meager solar energy and battery power.

I'm giving this five stars for the time being. It's too large for my car, and it's too heavy for me to move into the house. I didn't get to test it on the car 12V, but I did run a heavy duty outdoor extension cord from outdoor plug to the portable refrigerator to be sure it worked. Because my car is small (Jetta) I could only raise the lid about three inches with the fridge in the back seat. But, it worked and cooled down very quickly, so I'm going to assume it would do the same should I get a larger vehicle so I could use it, or if someone comes along kind enough to move it indoors for me so I can use it with my solar generator.

This product is better than the coleman 12v cooler. It can be adjustable for normal refrigerator or as a freezer set to a low degree setting. I mainly use it in a enclosed trailer out camping for days with 12v input with solar power. I'm a happy camper

I am a otr truck driver and this cooler has kept my food at the temp I set it at It will hold a lot of food does not drain your batteries and over all seems to be a great buy. For truck drivers this is peace of mind knowing your food is safe and no more ice. Highly recommend
