Unbelievably bad packaging & used instead of new

I ordered this in store as they didn’t have inventory. received it after 4-6 days. once opened the box, I realized the outer box is much larger than coffee machine box and i during shipment pieces box got damaged. once opened the box, saw black small pieces all over the box. Once opened the coffee machine box, I realized this is a used coffee machine (I bought a brand new supposedly). I could see drips of coffee all over the machine. The brush was stuck between the post pieces of the machine. such a disappointment. Now I have to drive to store and return it.

Do not buy, look for another brand

I was given this machine for Christmas and in just over 1yr and a half this machine broke 2 times. Each time it took over 1 month to get the machine fixed. The grinder is not consistent and grinds different amounts of coffee even though we never change the setting. I barely press to compact the coffee and very often it has a hard time brewing and creating a good crema.

DO NOT BUY

Sure, getting a nice coffee machine can be a great choice if you’re a coffee lover, but not this one. It brews a beautifully delicious cup—until it doesn’t. Imagine being four months pregnant, craving coffee, and then your machine breaks down. The company's solution? They’ll send you a box (5-7 days), and you have to pack it up and find a FedEx center to ship it back (another 5-7 days). Repairs take 7-10 days, and then they’ll ship it back to you. So, you’re looking at about a month without your machine after investing in it.

[Rewarded Review] small bean hopper and finnicky settings

Comparing the La Specialista Arte Evo to my superautomatic, there’s a clear difference in ease of use. The superautomatic is much more user-friendly—it’s fully automated, so with just one touch, I can get an espresso without adjusting any settings. It’s perfect for when I’m in a rush or want a quick cup, and it handles different beans effortlessly. The DeLonghi, while offering more control with its built-in burr grinder and beverage presets, is much more hands-on. I find it requires more tweaking, especially with grind size which can make it feel finicky, especially when switching beans frequently.

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful, well-made, easy to use

I want to start by saying I am not an espresso pro - I was very intimidated by learning to make drinks, but desperately wanted to learn! I was able to make a delicious drink with one quick read of the manual and minimal trial and error. There is a built-in grinder, tamping tool, a small stainless pitcher for frothing milk, and many more tools that make the process easy and integrated. I have tried all of the functions (hot water, espresso, Americano, and cold brew) and all make delicious drinks. Aside from the excellent functionality, this is a really beautiful machine. It looks great on our buffet and I enjoy the process of taking a few minutes to make drinks every morning. If you're new to espresso drinks, I highly recommend this machine! You will be up and running in no time, and if I can learn, you can too!!

[Rewarded Review] Super-espresso!

The De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo has been so fun to use these past weeks. The integrated burr grinder is great- it's really quiet, and once you dial in the grind settings and dose, it's so easy going forward. The large water reservoir and easy to empty drip tray make it easy to make a lot of espresso drinks. My usual favorite is a latte, and I've got that perfected on here! The pressure gauge is nice to see that you've got the right grind and dose for optimal extraction, and it's so quiet all around. The only somewhat loud part is the steam wand, which is always the case in my experience. This steam wand is super powerful and steams milk in just a few seconds! Overall, it's easy to use once you know what you want- it's so customizable if you want to play with all the settings, between dosing, extraction temperature and extraction time. This might not be great for a total beginner unless they have help getting it dialed in. I love it so much and received it for free for testing.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent pro espresso machine!

I love the De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo espresso machine! I thought I was pulling decent shots on my budget machine before using this! The espresso pulls much smoother, and I love having the built in bean grinder/doser - so much simpler to use while having so many features! I appreciate how it came with all necessary accessories for steaming milk and tamping espresso too. like how the machine accommodates coffee mugs so I can pull shots directly into my mug vs having to use separate espresso cups. I’ve tried all the features - even hot water to make tea, and it all works perfectly. The steamer wand is great and allows full control over amount of foam. It would be nice if the wand had a bit more movement to accommodate a larger pitcher since it does only move side to side vs up and down so you have to be careful to make sure the pitcher can tilt under the wand without spilling. I have noticed a huge improvement in how my coffee tastes using this!

The De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo espresso machine is a great edition to any coffee lovers kitchen! The machine is sleek and intuitive, providing a simple and easy user experience. The adjustable grind settings and variety of controls make this machine highly customizable. I love the cold brew feature and it's a great selling point for this machine. It has a great built in steam wand which is a huge bonus too! Overall a fantastic machine for the features and price. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to make espresso beverages at home!

Defective machine. Putting metal pieces in coffee

I bought this machine 8 months ago . It worked great at first. Then the machine went complelty down hil, I noticed the floor became strange & then I found metal shards in my espresso grind. Disgusting & very dangerous after taking with costumer service. I took off the grinder cap & found the metal part has been breaking apart( I’m not sure how long which is scary as well) I’ve only ever used high quiltly regular whole beans. I stopped using the grinder & after 2 weeks, the epresso pressure machine no longer works. It’s a 700 $ machine that only lasted 9 months & has a serious defect putting metal into the coffee grounds. I’ve spent the last 3 weeks dealing with customer service via email & phone calls. It’s been a horrible exp. After doing every video & update for them. They have not come up with a replacement & never sent any kind of repair email.( I’ve called & emailed again) & nothing in regards to the repair. It’s under a 2 year warranty. They have been a nightmare tondela with and have not honored the warranty and come up with no solution for a dangerously defective product. I now have to review to find a solution. If de long I go can email directly back. I’m on the phone with costumer service for the 10th time. I need a replacement or way to send in for repair

Shiny finish but the rest is poor quality

This is such a downgrade from older models. It not very heavy (great for bringing into the house) which makes it a pain if you don't have exactly the right packing. The whole unit slides around when you try to put the basket it. The steam wand has poor articulation so you have to limit your milk to make sure you don't spill when you have to tip under the wand. The grinder has broken almost exactly a couple days after warranty expired. Aside from the shiny finish, there is little of redeeming value here. Those who praise this machine likely haven't used an older or better machine. It barely managed the base functionality of an espresso machine.

Do not get this machine/any other Delonghi machine

When it works the machine is good. Unfortunately, in the 2 years 7 months we’ve had it, this is the third time sending our machine back for leaking, each 7 months apart. We’ve sent our machine back each time (currently trying to now) where they have fixed the tube causing the leak however the issue keeps coming back after a while. Now we’re out of our warranty timeframe (2 years) and have some water-damaged counters. Currently our issue has been “escalated” x2 however no replacement, it seems we’re out of luck for what we have proven is a faulty machine. Consistently very nice customer service however trained to say they’re escalating the situation vs actually helping. We’ve been told we would hear back in 24-48 hours however when I call back after a week of not hearing from Delonghi, they “re-escalate” the situation without being able to tell me an actual timeline. I would not recommend a Delonghi machine and have also deterred others looking for an espresso machine from getting one, as well. We’ll likely try the Breville instead.

Broke two years to the day

We purchased this machine a year and five months ago and no longer have the receipt. It stopped working. We spent a few days trying to troubleshoot, thinking it would reset and the button would work again. Not getting any results, we called the help line. We were informed they will not help us because the day we called was 4 days after the two year manufactures warranty! Four days!!! Had we called on the day it stopped working, we would have been fine. I find this completely unacceptable. This is not how you treat customers that spend that kind of money on your product.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent first semi auto!

This is my first semi automatic machine. I previously had a Philips 3200 that I was tired of taking apart and cleaning. I opted to go with this De'Longhi machine because my wife likes cold brew and I like espresso. Occasionally I have family that come in town and would like coffee and TBH, americano was what they were getting from the "coffee" function from my Philips 3200.

[Rewarded Review] Great For A Coffee Jolt

This espresso machine is a fairly nice piece of kitchen kit for the coffee lovers out there. It's very shiny and if the light hits it just right it might blind you a bit. It's also rather large so be prepared to set aside a fairly sizable part of you kitchen counter space.

[Rewarded Review] Enjoying my cup, every time!

This new De’Longhi La Especialista Arte Evo is an excellent espresso machine! What I love about it, besides making really good espresso & Americano, is that it can make really good cold brew as well. I always thought cold brew was just a gimmick cafés and other places that serve coffee just made up to trick people into spending more money. However, when I tried it myself, I was able to taste the difference between a cold brew and an iced coffee. Now, I always get a cold brew whenever I prefer to drink “a cold one“, pun intended.

[Rewarded Review] Triple Threat Espresso Machine

The La Specialista Arte Evo Espresso Machine with Cold Brew is a great triple threat coffee maker. The machine makes 3 variations of coffee, espresso, americano and cold brew. The machine is quick and easy to unbox and setup takes only a few minutes. Dialing in your coffee beans is another story. Once dialed in this machine makes a great cup of coffee that is consistent from cup to cup with nice body and crema. The addition of the cold brew option is different and works well. I found that the cold brew coffee taste is much fresher than the usual overnight refrigerator method. If you are new to manual espresso it may take some time to get the results you are looking for, but its worth it. The manufacture provides recommended grind and dosage settings, but results vary based on the type of beans you purchase. I started with one type of bean and when I finished that bag and switched to another bag of the same brand and slightly different roast the brew was no longer in the optimal zone, so be prepared to do some fine tuning. It only takes a few tweaks to get back in the optimal zone. The build quality is great and the machine comes with everything you need.

[Rewarded Review] Cold brew? Yes! Almost perfect machine except...

De'Longhi has made many iterations of an espresso machine. Having already owned two, the prospect of reviewing this new "cold brew" machine piqued my interest.

[Rewarded Review] VERY easy to use, makes GREAT coffee!

My wife and I are both big coffee drinkers, and this machine, which we have been using for about a week now, has been a real treat. It is so easy to use, even for a complete coffee novice, and makes coffee that tastes just as good as the local coffee shop.
