Saw shoe not parallel to blade

Bought the saw to cut large format tile. Noticed during longer cuts the saw would bind and push really hard against the cut guide. Tracked it down to the saw shoe being crooked to the blade. Was almost a 1/16" out across the blade. The shoe was also never loose on the saw body. To repair, increased pivot bolt to a 1/4" shoulder bolt and machined a shoe guide that has adjustment which can be bolted to the original guide.

Solid Average

Not really the quality I expected from Dewalt. There are other ones (in store) which are less than half the price. For example, the pressure regulating valve broke instantly, and there was near no pressure in the water line.

Powerful motor, cord and hose are a bit awkward, couldn't get the flow adapter to stay together with the lowest flow from the spigot, so had to try a work around. Plan to get wet. New blade was helpful with porcelain.

Kind of a pain to use

Spend another $150 and get a table wet saw on a stand. You'll be much happier. This saw works, but it's not the easiest thing to use. I did an entire bathroom with it, but it was frustrating. You've got to be very fussy if you want straight and perfect-sized cuts. It's time consuming and results inconsistent. Worst thing is the tendency for it to slip, and because it has a hard time cutting the entire depth of a porcelain tile. two passes are often required which just adds to the possibility of breakage, chip-out, and crooked cuts.

While the tool did the job, it was not clear from the information online that it has a ¾" arbor where most have either ⅝" or ⅞". Fewer blades are available that fit and I have not yet found a ⅛" adapter or ⅜" adapter.

Great little saw

I've had one of these saws years ago when I ran my own remodeling business I loved it. Just bought another. I've done circular cuts, angles and straight cuts. Because of its size it makes it easy to handle and the water keeps cuts from fracturing.

Good saw for large format tile

Good, powerful little saw. Don't like the water delivery system and how it keeps you from seeing the cut line. Figuring out how to set it up in a catch pan to keep it from slobbering all over. Original blade with this saw was junk. New one I bought is nothing like it. Old inventory maybe?

Had to cut concrete slab down for shower install. Cut slab down 2” so had to make several cuts appro... 3/4 inches apart to chissel up slab. Had to do this twice cuting as deep as saw would cut, worked great, no problems. Very low dust, highly recommend!

Dewalt wet saw

Great powerful, compact saw. Cuts granite amazing well. Quality tool. You can buy a 4 5/8 wood blade as well for cutting thinner materials. My only complaint is that there is very little clearance between the motor housing and the work surface so it's difficult to find a straight edge to fit between the product you are cutting and the motor housing. The shoe that the saw slides on could be a little heavier built. Exerting force could bend it

Used this to cut through quartz countertop and it did a great job. The water delivery system is nice. Smooth cuts. Only complaint is that it's very difficult to use a guide with this since the motor gets in the way.

Good Unit

I haven't used it as of yet. It is for a future project; however, I have considered purchasing this saw for some time and my need for it is nearing. I have used regular saws to cut tile and concrete, both dry and using a spray bottle to reduce dust but a dedicated water supply I felt would be much better. Also, I have other DeWalt equipment and I am very pleased with those tools.

Beautiful tool. Only needed it to cut a notch in bricks to go around support posts for a wrought iron fence. Made the job effortless once I set up. The tool is nice and heavy, so it cut steady, blade supplied was par for the task.

Cuts well but there is no way to attach a guide to run against a straight edge clamped to the work when precision straight cuts are required. Button to hold switch in "on" position is extremely hard to operate. Also, the water delivery system is twinky plastic and doesn't shut off. Arbor size and blade diameter makes replacement blades harder to find other than from Dewalt. Recommended for cutting where precision cuts are not required.

I purchased this saw to avoid renting a wet stone saw for a couple of projects. I was just hoping it would preform well enough to get the job done. Well this saw did a fantastic job cutting 1 1/2" blue stone and the water feed kept the dust down completely, also I saw a couple of complaints about the water feed shutoff leaking, I found if you keep the hose just barely turned on you have plenty of water for dust & cooling.

Powerful Little Machine

Very powerful for its size. Cuts easily through 3/4" granite. A couple of things prevent me from giving it five full stars though:

On par with the Ryobi, returned both

Had some 2 x 4 foot tiles to cut so tried this DeWalt after not being happy with the Ryobi. It cut a bit better but the shut off valve was fairly flimsy plastic and in no position did it actually shut off the water. I tried cutting 4 tiles with it and gave up. That tile is going to Habit Restore and switched to smaller marble tiles.

Great cut

I was impressed with the power and performance of this little saw. I was cutting 1" marble to size for a kitchen island. My only problem was the motor was so close to the work that it hit the guide I was using for a straight edge. I changed from my clamping guide to 1/4" aluminum and the work continued without a hitch. It would be nice if the blade was slightly larger.
