Works best for Vans but expensive
Works well but this unit is for smaller class B or vans to be effective. Class C is too large even if only 200sf. The pain point is having to vent two tubes out a window and setting up and taking down each time you move to a new location gets to be annoying. Heat mode was loud so I don’t use it for that. I use the main AC in my class C to initially cool the cabin then at night I switch to the Eco Flow to maintain coolness. But for that it’s not worth the high price for me. Also Solar input only runs the fan, not heat or cool options nor can I use my 1000 watt goal zero cause it only can handle 6-7 amps and the Eco Flow pulls more. So you are stuck using 120 ac to shell out another 600-700 for the companion battery. I have instead brought my $400 portable AC unit that I use at home and it cools the whole cabin. It’s bigger and needs more storage but does 5 times the job of the overpriced Eco Flow. If I could return it I would honestly.
Really like it
Using 2 Wave 2s to keep my house cool. Use the vent cover from Amazon. Lowered the electric bill. I love the efficiency of it and that it can be used with solar panel. Mostly, I use it with a power station though and hook that to the solar panels.
Ecoflow Performance
, I found that the ecoflow features. Are fantastic. After using the unit for multiple times. That its performance, for a van. Camper van is. Not up to par for what I need for it to cool. Vehicle all for myself and or if I was to use it with animals which I don't I think would not meet the need. But I am a fan of ecoflow's products I just find that the wave 2 is. Not there yet in terms of. Battery life. And(. It's)(, equality to have full blast), features being used in having a. Long battery life over 3 or 4 hours
Great if dual-hose vented with drainage tube
Works very well if double-hose vented and with draining tube (even with low humidity still leaked without the tube, but with the drainage tube in place in a pot was fine). Also, didn't work at all without the ducting in place, even in tiny tiny room, low humidity. The company's blurb that it can work without ducts or the drainage tube doesn't seem to be accurate from my experience. But ducted and drained, it worked exceptionally well in a very small room. If the adverstising were more accurate I'd give it 5 stars. Also, it's annoying that the battery can't be charged independently but must be attached to the a/c.
Portable cool air
I live in central florida where it is hot and humid all the time. I got the wave 2 to replace a huge semi portable ac unit and to use when out in my jeep and for power outages. So far, it is keeping me cool at night, so I sleep. It is much quieter than the huge portable unit. It is easy to use, and I love I can use the app to turn control it. It does drain a lot of water when it runs, but it is also 90% humidity currently. So far I am happy with it. It was pricey, but it will do a lot more than a "normal" unit.
Good for small spaces.
I use it primarily in my home editing studio. Right under my desk is perfect to keep me cooler than the rest of the house, and also dehumidifies a bit naturally. However, I found out the hard way, in Florida on a hot day, it will struggle to keep a car/suv cool. So depends on your specific situation. But being able to use such little power, and run off battery/solar, is game changer for my place. And GREAT job on the app!! Very happy.
Screen shot EVERYTHING!!
A little disappointed. The product is fine, however there was a flash sale that claimed I would get a free 100 watt solar panel with any purchase over $800. The solar panel never happened, and since it was a “flash sale”, I could not prove there was ever an offer. This Wave 2 is my third EcoFlow product, but reading other reviews, it felt like a “Bait and Switch” tactic, and seems that EcoFlow has a reputation for sometimes NOT following through on special offers.
update on wave
So far it is working as planned. I am a bit concerned about long term when I read reviews on facebook. Also lack of parts ..do not see many options if something broke. It is an expensive machine and better part availability should be part of the company's plan if they want to build a reputation.
EcoFlow Wave 2
“I recently ordered the EcoFlow product online, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! The ordering process was seamless, and the product arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The EcoFlow device works exactly as advertised and has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. Highly recommend this company for their efficient service and top-quality products!”
Worked well in Pop-up camper
We have a GoSun Camp 365 pop-up and added the Wave 2 to be an all-in-one fan/AC/heater. The product worked as advertised as you should understand how (heat pump) it works before buying. This will function different than window AC or propane AC unit. It got up to 87 degrees during the day and our camper was in direct sunlight. It could keep the cabin about 75 running at max on a/c power. we used the external drain to knock out humidity, which also helped with comfort. In the evenings, this really made the camper comfortable for sleeping (almost too cold one night). We used this for 3 nights running on a/c power the entire time. In my trial runs in backyard running off battery and Ecoflow 400W solar panel with good sun, I would say this will get you about 8-10 hours of run time on an 85 degree day in the sun. I would recommend having camper/vehicle in shaded area for better performance on battery and solar.
Not thrilled
Rare that it blows air below65. Will blow to 65, then heats back to around 70. Never really seems to blow colder than my van ac. The exhaust air is almost scalding hot and the hose isn't insulated. Uses battery very rapidly. It's bulky and the drain assembly is pretty poorly designed. The hose is hard to install and comes off easily. Unit doesn't meet my expectations. Alot of money for mediocre performance
Another amazing product
Bought another amazing product from ecoflow and the build quality is absolutely amazing. It seems durable and like it will last a while in the overland rig. We camp pretty much every weekend and in the 1 100 degree day we used it, it kept us cool. The connection to the app is very nice as I don't have to fumble with with the connection to the app which is nice. Look forward to buy some solar panels as well in the future.
What we needed
Initially, I ran this unit off a Goal Zero 1000 unit (sorry). I have a 9x10 air tent and the WAVE 2 cooled the tent off in several minutes. Once the unit settled in, it ran on battery power for about 2 hours before I turned it off when I left. I have since purchased the WAVE 2 battery but have yet to test it out in the field. It's hefty so I imagine it has good power. We will see, and I will post.
Boat Cooler
Bought this 2 months ago and still waiting for the car vent kit. The batter drains over night and does not stay fully charged. Dealing with Ecoflow customer service is miserable. I love the product would not suggest buying from them. AC works okay
ECOFLOW WAVE 2
The unit works great in my 2015 Honda Odyssey and keeps me very comfortable during those very hot evenings. I made a window guard for the front passenger window for the exhaust. Due to the size of the AC with battery., it’s not able to take into places to charge the battery. Ecoflow should have made the battery with the ability to use a charging cord without being connected to the Wave 2. So, Charging the unit is really the only issue. Best way I’ve found to charge it is either a 400watt solar panel or an EV station. That’s why I rated it with 4 and not 5 stars.
would not buy again
Love the a/c machine. But i have 2 batteries, 1 on the machine and the delta 2. Batters do not last near as long as they say. Also when charging, if I unplug the battery for 1 hour before use I loose 25% of my charge. The other issue I am having is the cord from the A/c to the battery delta 2, smells burnt, like it is going to catch fire.
Very nice portable AC!
I really like the design and the cooling power of ecoflow wave 2, but after 2 weeks, it started sounding louder and I noticed that there was a leak in front lower right part during normal use, so I tried to use it with external drainage hose connected. It was still leaking after more than a week, so I decided to return the unit. I like Wave 2, so I'll get another one with the extra battery.
Great for my EV batteries
With summertime temperatures in excess of 100 degrees F in my garage, I purchased this unit to keep my EV batteries cooler. While the WAVE 2 is not enough to keep the garage cool, I direct the cold air flow beneath the car. This has worked well to keep the batteries cool enough to, hopefully, prolong their life and efficiency. While doing this, the car displays temperatures in the 80's.
Working great so far
Kept this thing running almost 24/7 since I bought it last month, no issues whatsoever. Keep in mind, this unit is made for smaller rooms and spaces, but even in triple digits, it keeps my large 400sq ft room cooler than I expected at mid-high 70°. The unit can be plugged straight into a wall outlet without a battery. The unit does not need drained when in cooling mode, but will make some noise when getting rid of the moisture that does build up. This is not an issue for me, its kind of relaxing.
Happy customer
I received the unit in a timely manner and used it for a weekend trip.
