Does a nice job!

I love that water doesn’t touch any plastic at all. The reservoir, spout, lid etc are stainless steel. It heats water quickly, retains heat nicely. It’s a simple product, it’s basically on or off but it’s perfect for heating up water for tea or whatever. We would buy it again for sure

Good water heater.

This heats water quickly and is supposed to turn off when finished. So far, I've interrupted it to get the water faster. So, I hope it automatically turns off but I really DK. The lid is difficult to open and close--that's why I gave it a 4--but it just may need to be used more so it can loosen up, as it were. I like it--basic but it heats the water.

Love this electric kettle

We needed an electric kettle to boil water for our morning tea and didn't want to use the stove (gas). This works great and boils the water very quickly, within minutes. Doesn't feel hot on the outside, which is great. It has a heating element that the kettle sits on so the electric cord is separated from the kettle when you are ready to pour the water. The button on the top of the handle lifts the top and stays in place to load the water. Push the top back down to close it. You can just wipe it dry when it's cooled down. There are cleaning instructions and I think it says you should not submerge the kettle. I would definitely recommend this kettle.

Tea Anyone?

This is very solidly built. Does not feel hollow like some of the others do. Only had it a couple of days, but I like it. The button to open the lid required more pressure than expected. Just hoping that the mechanism holds up.

Extremely happy

I use this kettle 7 days a week, 2-3 times a day. It is fantastic for the price. It's not huge like most 1.5L electric kettles. It does what it claims, boil water. I use it mostly for tea and for our dogs dehydrated food. I use distilled water and never had a problem with hard water spots. I do empty it and leave the top open to dry every night. It's been a little over a year since the purchase. Sur la table has a great website and offer great products. Thank you!

Not as expected. Not good quality. The lid gets stuck when trying to close it shut, then makes a loud clicking sound to get passed whatever it's getting stuck on, then I can continue to lower the lid to close it shut. While the inside is all stainless steel, as other reviewers mentioned, there is a whole on the inside where the handle is, so when the water boils there is a heavy plastic smell emitted from the entire thing. I am returning it.

Absolutely outstanding in every venue!

100+ stars if possible! I'm more "function over form" oriented in my reviews but this kettle shines in either venue. Aesthetically it adapts nicely to just about any kitchen decour. Function: never warm/hot on the outside (i.e., well insulated), lid works/fits well, the opening is wide enough for a hand to enter to clean the inside, sturdy handle and well balanced, heating pad and bottom of kettle join perfectly and easily, on/off switch is illuminated when heating, automatic shutoff, keeps liquid hot for a long time. Summary: A perfectly designed, functional & form kitchen kettle. My only advice is that I unplug the device in case the on/off switch is accidentally turned on when empty; however, even if that mistakenly should happen, the kettle has an automatic overheat shutoff, so no problem. Simply a perfect kettle. No negatives.

Exactly What I was Looking For!

I was looking for an electric kettle with stainless steel interior, hidden heated element, no glass/plastic "viewing" windows and for the boiled water not to taste like metal! After a frustratingly extensive search, I finally came across this quick boiler! Exterior of the kettle and top of the lid is plastic, but interior walls and lid are stainless steel! The only plastic/sillicone piece inside seems to be holding the handle mounted, but even so I'm not sure how far in the lid goes when snaps into place so it may or may not cover the plastic piece. TIP FOR MANUFACTURER: The only improvement to this kettle would be to make exterior fully stainless steel (including lid). If you boil a full pot of water, the steam coming out touches exterior plastic and the steam smells like melted plastic.

Loud but cute and efficient

Very awesome kettle! I bought it as a birthday gift to someone and it made them extremely happy. They have started dribking several cups of tea a day again. Im especially happy with this kettle because the interior is metal, but my issue is that the outside is a cheap plastic. I would prefer if it was all metal. The lid is also very noisy. If you hold down the button while you close it then its not so bad. The water boiling is super loud, though i dont know if thats typical for electric kettles. Its loud even when its not “boiling. †Overall very awesome kettle! Heats up very fast and takes up very little space

Great at heating water, slight cleaning issue.

It's a decent kettle that brings water to a boil pretty quickly. I've had it on a few road trips and it still works fine. One thing to note is there is a crevice inside the pour spout where liquid gets trapped. If you brew tea in it like I do, the tea will gather in that crevice. Then to clean it out, I need stuff a paper towel into the spout and use a butter knife to scrub any gunk out of that crevice. It's also a tad loud, so fair warning.

Well built

Electric kettles are notoriously unreliable, for some reason. I had an Aroma kettle that started leaking after about 200 uses. I replaced it with a Hamilton Beach which, after about 10 uses, wouldn't shut off. After about 20 uses, this Krups has been performing reliably. It's fairly lightweight and it really is cool to the touch. I can't see any interior seams, so it's unlikely to leak. The top opens wide to facilitate cleaning. The outside is hydrophobic--water beads and runs off, reducing the chance of water spots on the outside. It heats up just as fast as, if not faster than, the others. Downsides: as others have noted, there is no window to see the water level, and the temperature is not adjustable.

I would trust and buy KRUPS products

I have an old style electric kettle which I have to very careful every time I use it because I try not to touch the kettle to get burn. And the old electric kettle is kind of heavy. I heard about some kind of cool-touch kettle but never get to know more about it until I see and try and touch the KRUPS cool-touch kettle. First the weight is less than 2 lbs, not heavy at all, water boiling time less than 6 minutes, and the greatest thing is the cool-touch feature that I can really touch the kettle (not the pouring tip though). And to use the kettle is very easy and simple, plug in the kettle base, fill up water with the kettle, put it in the base and push the button, button will pop when water boiled. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

Easy to Use & Convenient Black KRUPS Electric Kettle-BW26085

My new Black KRUPS BW260850 Electric Kettle works fantastic. The water stays hot for a full 30 minutes and yet it stays very cool to the touch. It also has an automatic shut-off switch so I left the house several times without being worried if I turned it off. I previously had a different brand of electric kettle and I always had to double check it to make sure it was not still on...even turning around while on the way to work to return home because I thought I had left it on. This kettle is great for making tea, instant coffee, soup and hot cereals such as oatmeal. You can prepare both something fast to eat and drink even at times when you don't feel like cooking. It also allows you to make hot drinks for visitors who possibly drop by your house as company. I actually plan to purchase two more of them as gifts for friends and family. Great Kettle for Hot Tea Lovers

I prefer this type of kettle due to being easy to clean. The opening is large enough to wipe it out and keep it clean. Heated up the water quickly and to a good temperature. I really liked the stainless interior. With cooler temperatures than usual I have been drinking hot tea more than usual. We use it on the weekends for our french press. It matches well with the coffee maker in my beverage area. Can't find any complaints with it. Performed as expected...no problems.

I Love This Kettle!

This kettle is a life saver literally. My husband loves coffee and tea and drinks it faithfully every day and night. He often times forgets to turn off the pot he's boiling water in, and has several times burned the pot up. So when I got this kettle, I no longer have to worry about him burning up my pots or my apartment. When the water reaches boiling temperature, it automatically shuts itself off, but keeps the water hot. Another plus is that the outside never gets hot. So I don't have to worry about my daughter getting burned from touching it. It is stylish and contemporary adding to the modern look of my kitchen. It is very easy to clean. Just dump the extra water out, and dry it out on the inside and that's it. Any coffee and tea lover would treasure this kettle!

This kettle is amazing!!

This Krups kettle is amazing!! I timed it and it takes less then 2 minutes to reach a full boiling temperature. I used it first with water inside and poured the hot water into a mug with a teabag and that worked perfectly. Then, I added a few teabags to water in the kettle itself to let it steep a little longer and that made perfectly steeped black tea! It's perfect for when I want to invite a few friends over and throw tea in the pot and make tea with evaporated milk and sugar, which is my favorite. It was very easy to clean, way to operate, definitely cool touch from the outside and the cord ties up neatly to be completely out of sight. As a comparison, I can only compare it to boiling water in a pot as I dont have another kettle to compare it to. While I was t aware of Krups cool touch kettle before using it, I am a huge fan now and I would certainly recommend this to anyone!

Excellent product!!

Excellent Product!! I am very pleased to have KRUPS Cool-touch Kettle 1.5 L. It always took time to make hot cocoa for my daughter. But after using this, everything going faster. I need a lot hot water in my kitchen. Krups made my work easier and faster. I had used other electric kettle too but the main thing In this kettle i like ,Its all stainless steel from inside. Some other kettles i also sound stainless steel from inside but their lid again plastic. And one i found stainless steel from outside too but thats again a risk of burning your hand. So this is the best choice that You get Stainless Steel from inside and cool touch from outside. I was not aware of Krups cool touch before Viewpoints. Really a big thanks to Viewpoints for giving me a chance. i am using this for now but thinking to buy one more for my husband's office.My husband drinks hot water whole day and he would like to have Krups on this seat and avoid no of trips to machine. I am thinking to buy one more for my sister too. She would definitely love this. I recommended this to my friend too. She already ordered it and waiting to come.One thing more i like a lot is base which is separate. The 360-degree rotational base means the kettle can be easily turned to quickly access the handle and the kettle can be quickly lifted for cordless pouring. Easy to handle..Water remain hot for more than 30 minutes.I like this saving my electricity bills too..Black color gives a royality. Durable build..

Really great kettle!

This KRUPS Cool Touch Kettle surpassed my expectations. It's a kettle. It heats water. What impresses me is that it is really fast, and the outside really doesn't get hot. I mean, the water is boiling hot by the time my toast is cooked, and the outside of the kettle is fine. With little kids running around, this is a safety solution I appreciate. This item is new to me, and I didn't know it existed until I tried it out. I would absolutely purchase this kettle again and give it as a gift.

Im in love with this product!

I am so impressed with this Krups Cool Touch Kettle that I cant say enough Positive about it. First of all it comes right out of the box ready to use! It is so easy and simple to operate but its uses are boundless. I have a teen in my home that will be goibg off to college this year and taking this kettle with her. I am confident that with its cool touch construction and no open flames or burners it will be perfectly safe for her dorm room. We will definitely have to purchase another for my husband and I to keep in our home as well. It heats water in about a minute ( no joke! ) So its perfect for coffee,tea, hot chocolate,instant foods like oatmeal,mac n cheese, ramen style soups in cups or bowls, even boil in bag foods. I have already made boiled eggs in it a couple at a time by bringing them to a boil and leaving them sit for 10 minutes .it holds enough heat for that long and longer. Its a great product and I am so glad to have received it free for the purposes of reviewing. I will be recommending it to others and giving them for Christmas gifts this year.
