I purchase Schalge for all my door handles. This one in particular works great until it doesn't. I purchased this product in April of 2022. In August of 2024 the internal mechanism broke and I was unable to enter or exit my home from our interal garage door. I went out and purhcased a similar handle to replace and put in my warrently claim with Schalge a week later. They are refusing refund and stating I should have waited for "parts" instead of accesing my home. Still waiting on parts.

This is a great door lock. Have had a darker version of this lock for over 12 years and it has performed flawlessly. Wife wanted to upgrade to a different finish, so that is the reason for purchase. We had to return this lock (lock was missing parts) and there were no locks in this finish in our area, so we had to order from an alternative source. We love the fact that you can program in different codes for friends and family members. Definitely give this lock a serious look.

Unusable in warm climates

This lock worked ok for the first mild year, but the display is failing now that temps are warming up. Once temps pass about 75 degrees, the display either shows only partial numbers, or nothing at all. On mild days, or in the evening, everything seems to work normally.

Bought to replace identical item which failed. Llove the keyless entry & sturdy lock! Used with complete satisfaction for four yrs. Original 9 volt battery was dated to 2024, so when the lock failed to open this week, I didn't get excited, despite the fact that we weren't able to get into the house thru that door, having misplaced the key, which is the over-ride device when battery fails. Replacement of battery failed to make the lock operational. Instead, a new battery got real hot and failed to work, which means a fault in the circuit. Rather than try to trace the fault down thru some small gauge wires, I replaced the lock. So it cost me ~$145 for four years of keyless entry. I'm not happy about the lock failing, but I will try one more of them. The wires that have to be fitted into the case are easy to squash somewhere in tightening the assembly up, which ought to be fixed with some kind of sturdier fixed cable. Would look for a different keyless entry item next time. $145 for four operational years is too much... it ought to work longer and battery ought to be easier to change with those fiddly wires.

Love it, a definitive improvement

The first smart lock I tried was one of those Chinese knock-offs that drained a set of 8 batteries A DAY! so I decided to repurpose the emergency charging port as the default power source. As bad as it was, it lasted for 3 years and I liked it a lot but now that we have this Lockly smart lock, we left the RFID fobs behind and, boy let me tell you it's a whole lot easier to just approach the door and open up with one finger than fiddling with the keys and trying to find the fob, while carrying the groceries at the same time.

I have bought four locks for our rental units. Three of the four broke in less than a year. I now have a tenant locked out because it will not unlock. The batteries are good. The codes work. But the entry latch is stuck! This is the third lock and the second tenant! Last one was l locked in their room and I had to pay a lock smith. This one it’s 2 am and now having to do the same thing. Of course the guest are not happy.

Excellent Smart Lock. Better than the competition

I had reservations being that I didn’t hear about this brand much. But to the point, this lock was simple to install. Easy to set up the smart features. And has excellent smart features that are actually useful. The fingerprint sensor hides on the side, I love this. And it captures my finger every time. That’s probably the best part aside from the smart features. It seems to be built well. Handle turns nice. I’ve had it for a few weeks now. I have literally nothing bad to say about it.

Genius Lock, Great features, Best Customer Service

I have had this lock since 2020 and it is a great lock. Prior to getting this lock, I research the market's top smart locks and what drew me to this lock was the Peek-Proof feature where the numbers on the keypad cycles with each touch. This prevents other people from seeing the same numbers you press. I love that you can have multiple passcodes and you can create guests/temporary codes for emergency use such as having a friend/neighbor/family unlock if something is urgent and you are away. Fingerprint function was also a huge bonus feature for me as sometimes I'm holding stuff and cannot dig for keys in my pocket or type in the passcode. You can simply use your fingerprint and unlock in a cinch. The only issue I had with this lock is that while the lock is made for outdoor usage in any weather, I've noticed on 2 of these locks is that the keypad start to fade after sitting in the sun. The numbers visibility comes back during the night but again starts looking distorted during the day, so it seems like its a heat/direct sun issue. After a while, the keypad gets so faded and distorted that it never comes back even if you reboot or change to a new set of batteries. But the customer service at Lockly is truly outstanding. They addressed my issues very promptly and professionally. Sol, a Lockly customer service rep went above and beyond on a problem I was having. This experience alone will keep me a customer for many years to come, I've even recommended a few friend/family members to purchase Lockly too.

Buyers should be aware that the Key does not open the lock if the Battery dies.
