I installed this deadbolt in place of a defective one we had on the back door and was concerned with carrying two sets of keys until I got down to the part of the directions that said use the smart key tool to re key the lock to ise your current house keys..BAM what a game changer!! The Kwikset Midtown deadbolt was the right choice for our basement door deadbolt needs. The satin nickel color of the deadbolt and rounded corner, low profile look was a nice added touch to the door. Installation was easy thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions and just a screwdriver. I added this lock to my front door for added security because I want piece of mind when I am away from my home for a period if time a week or longer. Great Deadbolt BUT it will not fit a Regular size Lock hole and every Door lock in my Home will not fit this,so i cannot post how great it look or FIT, this when install left a big hole where it seem the lock was too Small Maybe this is for really Small doorbolt door not regular size Door with hole already install! this came with every tools you need to install this except for a Drill and had 2 keys ! installing this left a hole which i could not fill which my other deadbolt was install!!

I love this Kwikset Midtown Deadbolt. I like the nice design, especially with the satin nickel finish. It makes my door look way better and adds a newer level of security to out house. This deadbolt fit was dead on for the door we chose to use it on. It locks and unlocks so easily, unlike our old lock. It didn’t take long at all to do this project, because of the quality materials used to make this deadbolt. The Smartkey feature is another great reason in choosing this product, it will allow me to re-key, if necessary.
