The tea thing is not that deep in the pot. You have to fill the kettle to the top. But this will cause the tea to boil out the spout and make a mess. 
My fault. I thought it was a whistling teapot and that the handle opened the lid. My bad. Overall a nice product.

it is terrible , the handle lower part was unglued when we took it out of the box, very flimzy and dangerous to use

Love my Tea Pot with the strainer. This Tea Pot make tea easier to brew. Love it!
The knob on the top is coated plastic. The silver pealed off after 1 week of use. Very disappointing
I'm a REALTOR. This was a client closing gift. He had seen it in a home we toured and asked if the tea pot came with the house. I knew he'd love it and, he did!!
