Great indoor grill but....

my box was missing The griddle portion of the package that is supposed to be included. I find that the plug-in is so short it doesn't work well in the area I want to use it.

Son Loves Grilling Indoors

My son lives in a small apartment where grilling outside is not an option, so we found this as a workaround. He loves this grill and uses it every day. It does not fill the apartment with smoke and doesn't take up too much room in his tiny kitchen. His favorite feature is the glass cover that allows him to check on the food without opening the lid. I offered to buy him a more expensive Ninja indoor grill, but he prefers this grill because of the lid feature.

Great for getting grilling done indoors

It does grill without the smoke just as it says. The cons for me is that this unit is huge and heavy. So I really had to store it outside after a couple uses as it would not fit in any of my cabinets. The other thing I did not like is that is leaves a lingering taste of smoke on your meats. I like a little smoke but it was a lot and the aftertaste of the smoke I did not care for because it really stayed on the tongue. Cleanup is not too bad but it is a lot of disassembling to keep it clean. I tried using it without the lid and there was less smokiness but took a lot longer to grill the meat. Not bad all in all

Works AMAZING!

This grill has like 5 total pieces. The body doesn’t get dirty at all. Just some condensation to wipe off. The water/drip tray gets a tiiiiny bit dirty. But comes clean easily. The drip pan gets dirty bit also kind of coated for non stick so it’s easy to clean. The cooking surface is super non stick coated so as long as you clean it when it’s warm it’s super easy. And the lid didn’t get dirty really but I washed it for good measure. All in all it’s pretty dope. Nice design. Good functionality. Easy to clean. Size of a small bed pillow. My only concern is the metal filter that’s in it for smoke. Have to find out if it can be cleaned but usually smoke filters are disposable after a certain amount of use. I’d like to buy about 5 of them online. But I’m sure you can get plenty of uses out of the one filter. Oh also. The cooking surface/ exposure to burner design is killer. Biggest part of the no smoke feature. Physically impossible to get juices on the burners while cooking. One more thing. The power cord is very heavy duty. Thick gauge. Good connection. Not very long but it’s workable

Does not get hot enough

Doesn’t get hot enough even when lid is closed and is set to max temp of 450. I tried cooking relatively thin steaks on it last night and took awhile and no charge marks or anything grill like about it. Tonight I tried making chicken breasts. Again, they were not very large or real thick, took awhile and again not impressed. Better off throwing them under the broiler or in the oven and I could have saved myself $100.

I had the power Xl pro before and decided to get a new one when I moved. This one was on sale at the store and is the newer model.

Excellent indoor smokeless grill

I purchased this grill on 4th of July 2023 because I had just a small group coming over for hamburgers and hotdogs. I am so happy I got it, I have used it every day. I do let it preheat for a couple of minutes before I put food on it that I’m going to truly grill so that it gets a nice sear to it. I’ve even used a small piece of foil and reheated some chicken strip on it. Cooks fast, evenly and cleanup is pretty simple. The instructions say to put 3/4 cup of water in the drip tray, I put a little less than this because, if you cook food that has much fat, the tray catches all of it. In addition, be sure to remove the filter each time you clean the parts, if you swish it in hot soapy water and give it a good rinse, it doesn’t get clogged easily and will last forever.

I love this PowerXL Smokeless Grill! I love that I can still grill in the colder months and still get that grill flavor and sear without the smoke. You don’t have to worry about it setting off the smoke alarms! You can grill anything that you would typically grill on an outdoor grill, like burgers, steaks, chicken, ribs, and even corn on the cob. It’s a good size that works great for my family of 4 and sometimes 6 when the grandparents are over. I like that it easily comes apart so that everything can be easily cleaned after use. It comes with a good recipe book so you can get an idea of long it will take to cook something. The trick is to ensure there is always a bit of water in the bottom tray when using. The temperature can easily be controlled, and there is a built-in fan. The grill plate is non-stick, so little or no oil is needed depending on what you are grilling. This is a great way to grill with the ease of cooking indoors and less mess than a traditional outdoor grill.

I love this grill!!! It’s so easy to use and truly is smokeless. This will be so nice to use if the weather is too bad to grill outside and it’s perfect to take in our camper, especially with the griddle! I like that there’s temperature options if you like to cook things a bit lower and slower as the grill does cook faster than a standard propane grill. It does create a bit of steam, but no smoke and no smell! It also comes apart very easily to clean. There are a few pieces that needed cleaning in the end but it all cleaned up quickly and went right back together.

So excited for this to come! Omgsh. Have been wanting one for a while. It's bigger than I anticipated. I also got online to redeem the free flat top plate and just pay for shipping. Was a wonderfully reasonable price. First meal was steak and shrimp skewers. So much fun to prep and make with the family. Cooked with ease. Was perfectly hot and the sizzle was amazing. Little mess. Easy clean up. Very happy.
