Owner-installed C3-155 Bidet Toilet Seat

This bidet toilet seat is a great update to our bathroom. The installation of the seat is fast and straight forward and the bidet components work as advertised. The hard part of the installation has nothing to do with the bidet seat, itself. I tried installing a 15-amp outlet next to the toilet by tapping into a receptacle in an adjacent bedroom. This worked but I discovered that the circuit I used also had an exhaust fan and two 320-watt lights that are located in the master bath two rooms away. The master bath and the bathroom with the new bidet seat, share three GFI-protected 20-amp outlets. I removed the newly installed cable from the 15-amp circuit and tapped into the GFI load cable (not the GFI line cable), creating a 4th 20-amp GFI protected outlet next to the toilet with the new bidet seat. This 2nd configuration works and the lights in the master bath are no longer blinking. I have a lot of experience with home electrical systems so I felt comfortable adding an outlet next to the toilet in the aforementioned bathroom. I also have experience with water supply connections and had no trouble modifying the water supply connection to the toilet to accommodate the water inlet for the bidet seat. The electrical work took place in the attic over a period of days and the plumbing part took about one hour. The bidet seat installation took about 20 minutes. I think a dedicated 15-amp circuit would have worked fine assuming that no other circuits would be added in the future. If you are adding a new circuit coming from the electrical panel, it would be advisable to add a dedicated 20-amp GFI circuit. With respect to the bidet seat installation, the instructions are slightly misleading where it says to slide the seat towards the attachment bracket. The bracket has a "lip" that the seat must ride over to drop, and then snap, into place. I found that you can slide the seat until there is contact with the bracket and then slightly lift the seat over the lip and use a gentle downward force to snap the seat into place. I also found that while attempting to slide the seat into its bracket, one side would connect but not the other. In this case, the seat was floating above the edge of the toilet bowl on the unconnected side. I thought it best not to try to force the unconnected side into place but to reverse the process and try again. I found that removing the seat for cleaning works exactly as indicated by the instructions.

Works exc. However it sits slightly behind you making uncomfortable to see or reach the controls for a larger person. This would be better serve by having a remote control.

Size not good for tall men; night lights & slow close eventually failed

I have had this for some years - my wife loves it, but as a tall man the jet from the wand is just not in the right place. After a time the slow close function on the lid stopped working, and now the night lights have stopped working. I cannot find anything on the Kohler website on how to fix these problems or get parts

A helping hand

Works great. It was a big help during my recovery from a shoulder operation! Love the automatic self UV light sanitizer of its spray wand. The only complaint (which is minor) is the delay of the spray wand operation once you activate the button ( the wand rinse itself in the chamber before eject water to clean your bum).

Excellent product. I purchased two. Easy to use and works well. Very happy with my choice of bidets.

Bad long term quality-Hassle

I bought from Home Depot online, loved it at first. Over the course of a year the older it got the more I had to have plumbers come out multiple times because the hose connectors would leak. Just started leaking again where a metal connector meets the rubber hose( not a threaded part where you can add more plumbers tape.) which means I will have to find a new hose and at this point I just want a new product. Very upsetting to constantly deal with when the leaking when the idea of this device is wonderful and you just want to use it. It's more of a hassle than it's worth, considering the price, just get something else.

This is the second one we bought. Works well and installation is easy. My only complaint is the seat could be a bit longer to fit the toilet bowl

The Bidet is for a FUTURE remodel job, which has not begun yet. So I don't know how well it will work (at this time). But the item looks excellent as it comes from the box.

I would have given it 5 stars if the controls were a little further from the seat or it came with a remote control.

My new Kohler toilet seat bidet is awesome. Other than moving an outlet to provide power it was easy to install and works very nicely.

Great working bidet seat! It was easy to install (but I had to add the electric outlet by the toilet). The heated toilet seat is a great feature to have, and the control buttons work great & you can adjust the water temperature of the spray functions as well as adjust the spray. The unit needs to be installed with the water on before it will operate.

Why did I wait so long?

We bought one with the night light. It was installed right before Christmas and we were wondering why we waited so long to get this. We recommend this model. It is worth it to get the outlet installed so you ca. Have warm water?
