This product arrived with damaged drain lines and once I had it hooked up and ready to test it leaked all over my floor. We had it taken away and a new one delivered. I got it installed and working and a few days later one of the lower rack ball bearing wheels came apart. One on the other side fell off. NFM ordered us a replacement but about 9 weeks later it has not shown up. Also, the washer is not as quiet as advertised, it doesn't clean as well as advertised and the drying cycle is garbage if you have plastic storage containers in it. We got it on sale and some extra discount for the troubles, but it in now way makes up for how disappointed we are with it. I would never purchase it again and can't recommend it to any one. Which is sad because we love the LG washer and dryer we have.

Best dishwasher I've owned. Am very appreciative of the stainless steel tub which keeps it cleaner, and is easier to clean when needed. The led lights are also quite nice, being able to see what's where without turning on every light in the kitchen. I feel like the quad cleaning technology I rarely do more than the 1 hour quick wash using this thing on high temp. Best part yet, night dry! It slowly continues to vent after completion so that if you run it at night, or anytime for that matter, and don't empty it right away the condensation doesn't stay built up and leave standing water everywhere in it the next morning etc. Huge convenience so that things are actually dry and ready to be put away in the morning instead of hand drying or having things air out on the counter. Can't go wrong with LG appliances!

I really love the look of this dishwasher. We originally purchased a Bosch, and aside from it being damaged upon delivery, I don't think it was worth the hype. The LG is really sleek looking and works great. I like having the 3rd rack and the larger silverware bucket on the bottom (the Bosch one was tiny).. It matches our Samsung fridge nicely. So far no problems with it. The only semi-annoying thing is that the cycles are like 2+ hours. But if you run it before leaving the house or at night, doesn't really matter.

I LOVE this dishwasher! I have a large family and holidays create lots of dirty dishes. This dishwasher’s adjustable racks with fold-down tines allow many different configurations to maximize space for everything. The in-door steam feature provides an additional boost for cleaning dried on food along with sanitizing if needed. After almost a month of use, all dishes come out sparkling clean every time! Plus, all cycles are super quiet. Best dishwasher I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this appliance if you cook every day for lots of people.

Love our new dishwasher. I’ve had it for 1 month now. Love that it lights up when you open it, the fact that the racks can be change depending on space needed. I’ve been able to fit more dishes in this dishwasher compared to my last one. I like that it has the wine cup holder. I like that you can place your utensils right side up & have them separate or not. It’s very customizable depending on what you like. It’s quiet. The install was extremely quick & I have had no issues. Met all expectations and then some! Highly recommend.

Finally decided to upgrade our dishwasher and was so happy that I went with LG and this model (LDPH7972S). Truly love the 1-hr wash/dry, true steam, the print proof finish, dry boost and night dry. Using this with Cascade Platinum+ and Rinse Aid have left everything so majestically clean. Utilizing LG ThinQ to add more control and information seems gimmicky at first but indeed helpful and powerful. Overall, can't go wrong with this one not to mention the excellent buying experience I had with Ty (BBY Bridgewater, NJ). The installers too did a wonderful job of putting in and haul-away of our old one. They even replaced the sink drain pipe to connect the new dishwasher drain hose. It'll be perfect if LG have added Machine clean, Express and Night Care cycles on it. Still, so awesome waking up every morning to put away sparkling and spotless dishes and it does its job quietly too. Indeed, Highly recommended!

I am beyond thrilled with this dishwasher! I have owned many other brands in my life, but this one is the best of all of them. We wanted one with low dba since we moved into a small home with an open concept, and this one is so very quiet. YAY! Also i just love that my dishes come out so clean--they almost sparkle. Such a noticable difference from our previous dishwasher. There are so many features, too, that make this model perform so well from the extra top rack, the steam clean, the various dry modes--love the "night dry" feature, plus so much more. So grateful the salesperson showed us this particular brand and model--I couldn't be happier.

Best Dishwasher Ever Owned, Exceeded Our Expectations!!!!

We got our LDPH7972S nearly two months and boy, is it fantastic! Actually, "game changer" sums it up best. Don't listen to the negative reviews - if you're like us and haven't upgraded your dishwasher in over 10 years, you will be completely awed by how AMAZING this LDPH7972S is in comparison. For starters, it is SO quiet! We never ran our old dishwasher at night, it was so loud. Not this one: we frequently run it on a delay after midnight for time of use savings on our electric bill and we never hear it running! Instead, we're greeted in the morning with sparkling dishes, cups and utensils to be put away. The LDPH7972S does an incredible job of cleaning and drying, especially compared to our old dishwasher. With Finish rinsing agent and quality dish detergent tabs, whatever we wash comes out sparkling clean. We've also found the Night Dry with Dry boost gets everything dry, with the only exception being the bottoms of upside-down coffee mugs or anything else that can collect water if not overturned and/or angled correctly. That's also vast improvement over what we were used to seeing with our old dishwasher. Another feature we like is how easy it is to lower or raise the second and third racks. I could go on about all of the great features of the LDPH7972S, such as the ThinQ app - but suffice it to say that every feature that LG describes on their website about this dishwasher are spot on and work just as described. But there are a couple of incredible features that might go unnoticed in other reviews, so we will mention them here. First, the LDPH7972S is a sleek and beautifully designed dishwasher that instantly upgraded our kitchen and forever transformed our experience with dishwashing. Second are the LED lights, both on the inside of the dishwasher as well as the external LED display that appears near the top center of the door when the machine is powered on. These latter two features are game-changers. Being able to see clearly inside the machine upon opening the door is obviously wonderful, and the exterior LED display is pure, high-tech sorcery. See our uploaded photo of the external LED: I can't stop marveling at how it magically appears without there being any hint of a display screen in the stainless-steel door. Thanks to this LED display, you’ll always know the time remaining on the selected wash cycle. It then displays “End” when done, so you’ll never have to open your dishwasher to find out if it’s really done. We love doing our dishes with the LDPH7972S and you will, too!

Thin Q app has alot of connection issues.

Thin Q app has alot of connection issues. It doesnt work well with Tmobile Home Wifi Internet router. I have 11 other devices and the LG dishwasher and Refridge are the only ones that wont connect. Lg is aware of the problem. Some people have been waiting over a year and their stuff still wont connect. The problem with this dishwasher is that some settings like changing the type of wash cycle can only be adjusted using the app.If I would have known that I would not have bought this DW. All LG employess have been rude ( All the way up to the Presidental Liason ) and no help at all. It will be my last LG product as the company does not deserve anyones business. It has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with LG. When a company disrespects me as a customer they end up on my never again list and LG is now there.

Very Quiet

The three levels of shelving are very convenient, as is the ability to adjust the height of the middle shelf. There are lots of options for adjusting levers in each shelf to organize, but I don't understand why there are added levers for cups. They don't lay flat and I'm not sure that two layers of cups would get clean, nor would the second layer be well supported. Maybe it would help with bottles and other unusual items. The same part can support a wine glass handle, which again, I couldn't make work with mine. That is in the back corners of the middle rack. I will probably remove them for good. The part I wish provided more support was the horizontal middle of the bottom rack. It feels an awkward distance between the two rows is left in the middle, only usable for a few bigger bowls, like small serving size. I'd rather have this space left to each edge rather than the middle. So far what I have is either too big or too small for that spot. Some things would go nicely there, but only if there were enough plates to support them. Maybe my plates are just odd sized?

Disappointed

Not that great. I have been happy with LG laundry units in the past was hoping for more. My dishes are not coming out clean no matter which wash cycle I choose. Cups still have residue as does flatware. The layout of the middle tray is not well designed and will not accommodate as many cops and mugs as I am used to with other dishwashers. As well, none of the wine glasses I have tried will fit in the section meant for them on the middle tray. As well, the bottom tray is also poorly designed without enough support in the bottom and items will fall through if they are not large enough as the openings between the slats are too large. Also the tongs are spaced too far apart and they will not hold up any large tumblers or wine glasses like I am used to. Lastly all of my glasses have streaks all over them. I’ve tried rinsing agent but that doesn’t help. Overall disappointed.

I've had different dishwashers for over 50 yrs and this one's been the very best at cleaning, drying plus so very very quiet too! And yes, I sure did buy the 5 yr service warranty coverage too for more peace of mind.

Awesome Dishwasher

Excellent dishwasher. Bought an LG refrigerator last year and so happy with it so when my dishwasher died, I decided to look for an LG dishwasher as well. Love the top 3rd shelf for big utensils. Love the fact that when I open the dishwasher, the whole inside lights up! It also plays a happy little tune when the cycle is finished. Most importantly, my dishes are thoroughly cleaned and I don’t even have to rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. There are many different settings to choose from and when running, the dishwasher is pretty quiet! I highly recommend this dishwasher!

Logistics are good, cleaning not so much

We have had this model for about 1.5 months. We love the ball-bearing rollers, the third upper-level tray, and the silverware basket. The height level adjustments and ability to change the prongs to fit dishes better are also an advantage. But the cleaning power leaves a lot to be desired. We basically cannot put anything dirty in the middle tray. Even a coffee cup that had hot chocolate needed handwashed after the wash. Coffee cups are looking dingier. Often bowls will have food stuck on them. This was generally not an issue with our previous Bosch (which had its own issues). We have only used the normal setting, but we are not putting in anything that should require the heavy load function.

Everything about this dishwasher says quality. The racks are sturdy, hold dishes securely, and they glide in and out so smoothly. The dishwasher has ten cycles and a countdown timer. The dishes come out clean and dry at the end of the cycle, even the plastic containers in the top rack. It operates very quietly and signals completion with a gentle chime. When the door is opened, an interior light comes on. The exterior is simple and sleek with a finish that resists fingerprints and is easy to keep looking shiny and new. I love my new dishwasher.

Honestly, yes its a bit more pricey and I’m absolutely happy that I decided to go with this dishwasher instead of one that cost less. This thing is going above and beyond my expectations. theres three racks , heated coil to dry, and even a light on the interior !!! Its wifi enabled and does a spectacular job cleaning the dishes. Best buy even confirmed delivery and installation ( figured might as well get a third party to install) and they were professional and even installed an outlet underneath the kitchen cabinet to ensure the dishwasher sits correctly in the designated spot. Whole process was painless, honestly.
