Best stove we owned

We owned many different brands in the past and very high-end ones with touch panel and techie features, but they were never reliable always had an issue with them. We never thought we are going to get a stove that is this simple with no display or anything whatsoever, but it was on clearance at our local brick store and for the price I couldn't say no bought it and brought it home and start using it. We absolutely love this thing. It's built like a tank, not like the other with plastic knobs and cheap quality which the weigh less then 150 pounds. This thing is super heavy duty. It weighs 350 pounds needed for people to unload this thing and bring it inside. We love the simplicity of this stove.

gas stove- -

I bought this gas range after cooking with electric for years. so far i like cooking with it. Some problems with it include: when the burner top is taken off to clean, it is very hard for me to get it back in the right position, also if grease or food gets on it, it is stained even after cleaning. It still looks dirty. When i lean over the stove to clean it my belly hits the knobs and it starts to make igniting sound. The description said i could take out trays under the grates for easy cleaning. i can't do that, which is one of the reasons i bought this thor over two very similar ranges, and i find it hard to clean under the grates with out knocking the burners off. The oven is not self clean{but i knew that when i bought it} and it would be nice if there were some sort of timer and clock on it. I bought a griddle and its feet sit ont the knob panel. seems wrong. maybe i bought the wrong one.

Worst Appliance

This is the worst range I have ever encountered. We purchased when we built our new home. After moving in the beginning of August, we alerted our builder that the interior oven would not turn on. After waiting over a month for a technician, we were informed that a part had to be replaced, which then took another week to be installed and delivered.

Incredible Range — a real jaw dropper!

We've had our Thor range for 6 years now and still love it. The stove top is solid and gives you a vast range of control over heat levels from overnight simmer low to lightning fast volcano boil.

Great range

I am so happy with my new range. I love the look and performance has been top grade. It doesn’t have a timer but to honest I don’t even miss it. Alexa is much easier to use. The delivery was within the timeframe they laid out but tracking was difficult. The guys who delivered it went above and beyond. Very happy with our purchase.

good value dual fuel professional range

this was purchased to replace our 1998 vintage GE monogram dual fuel range that could not be repaired due to parts no longer available. A new 36" monogram version from GE was over $10,000, The Thor HRD3606U dual fuel was priced below $4000 and had all the features of our old range. Its oven at 30A is slightly less powerful than our old GE that needed a 50a circuit. Still the Thor does the job with just a few minutes more time to warm up. Burners are all good and turn down to a very low setting without any fuss or going out, something that was an issue with the old GE. Oven cooks fairly even with convection on and runs quite true to set temp. I've baked cookies several time and am pleased with results. Overall build quality is good. I am pleased so far with this range. Lowes delivered on the original scheduled date and within promised time window. Delivery crew was experienced and there were no issues.

Bad Components

The relay board keeps melting so the oven won't work. This part is consistently on backorder. Thor won't tell you this though until a week after you have them order the part. Our oven hasn't worked for over a two months because a $300 part keeps breaking.

Thor: burners are designed not to adjust heat

Six burners, but none are capable of simmering food. The lowest heat setting scorches food onto cookware. Contacted Thor, whose response was “there is no simmer function on these ranges.They are designed this way.” A cooktop without ability to adjust heat is pretty useless. My advice is to look elsewhere.

I ordered this in October and just had it installed in our kitchen. It is a beautiful range, elegant and simple without all the unnecessary extra tech to distract from a true cooking beast. Will update after we have had more time using it. Really looking forward to power cooking on this for the holiday season!!

Purchased the range from a very nice appliance store in Redding CA. This range was bought from the showroom floor so when it was delivered it came with no paper work. After installing the range I had to print a PDF file for warranty and operating instructions. First I ran the oven and broiler as directed to burn off any contaminates. That went smoothly. Operating the burners are some getting use too. Everything works as it should. We're very impressed with the looks of this range at a very competitive price point. I did a lot of research on many different brands…I wanted a no frills range - no circuit boards or Wi-Fi/smart anything! Was a bit leery of some of the reviews about Thor, but the more I read the more it looked like the issues ppl were having were due to lack of reading the manual and understanding their piece of equipment…first of all I absolutely love the way this range looks AND feels. It’s gorgeous and heavy duty- it feels very high quality. The burners are legit!! Amazing flame and very even cooking! I used a brand new oven thermometer and the heat temperature was accurate…it baked my homemade crackers beautifully even and consistent, bake after bake! There was an issue with the oven’s telescoping shelves/racks - I emailed customer service and got a response within a couple of hours- new shelves were on the way after sufficient info was provided by me. Customer was excellent and quick! Prior to my purchase I had some questions and customer service was thorough in their answers. I am very pleased with my purchase! Now we just need to take the plunge and replace the hood!

Many problems

Burners click. Double ring burners don't light; inner rings clogged. Oven temp off more than 200°. Have to open door when light broiler, unlit gas builds up. Oven racks not smooth; very dangerous. Plastic knobs peeling, marking wearing.

The perfect package for us

How I came to selecting this Company and Appliance package is kind of relevant. Our previous Range by a well known manufacturer was considerably more expensive, about the same size and had fancy display... Great while it lasted. Unfortunately, the microprocessor chip on the controlee panel went bad. Not covered by warranty, replacement board not available, sent off for repair to two different repair facilities both returned unable to acquire the "microprocessor chip".

Never Had It So Good!

I have now had my THOR for two months and I still can't believe what a difference there is from my old range. The burners are much more even heating and so quick to heat. The grating is so solid no matter what size pot you place on them. Now let's talk about the oven. The preheating is quick and the racks are easy to change on the fly. The convection feature is so awesome it makes a novice chef look like a seasoned PRO.

Exactly what I hoped it would be. We recently moved to a new home and needed to update the range. As the owner of a high end kitchen design business I had become accustomed to our Dacor 48” dual fuel range. The new kitchen could only fit a 36” range and was equipped with an all electric one. After researching available ranges in consultation with my appliance supplier I settled on the Thor and could not be more pleased. It is a beauty to look at and wonderful to use. The simmer burners work great. The range top is easy to clean as is the removable cover over the oven burner. Perhaps the best thing is the price point. You get comparable performance for units costing three times as much. Well done Thor engineers and designers!

Best you can buy at this great price

I chose this range because it was the most affordable 36" model I could find. I checked consumer reports, all kinds of comparison websites, and even called Thor Kitchen customer support before purchasing. I love this range and so does my whole family. It looks so professional and works like a dream. When it was installed, two of the igniters did not work properly and they sent out a repairman immediately. The repairman told me that all of these professional style ranges are made the same so if I bought one and paid less than Viking and Thermador prices, I had done well. I feel like I did extremely well. My first baking project turned out perfect and the cook top is fantastic. This is a great value. Thanks to Premium for listing it.

We purchased all Thor kitchen appliances for our kitchen remodel. They were all delivered in a timely manner. While our dishwasher came damaged from delivery, Thor was very responsive given the current pandemic. We could not be more pleased with the appearance of our new appliances as well as their functionality. The Dual Fuel Range is a cooking dream -- from sautéing to even baking. I had read reviews of lengthy preheat times due to the large capacity of the oven. Not so! 10 min to preheat at 350.Our oven and dishwasher are so quiet. The dishwasher had even more features than was posted on the description. It has a light; the utensil rack can be shortened to accommodate your needs and the tines move down for larger pots and pans. I love the vortex feature for cleaning a dirty pan! Our refrigerator could not have better freezer organization and ice features. I love the refrigerator space as well! We could not be more pleased!
