This fan is quiet, can't hear it running when shower is on. Also removes all the steam from bathroom, when I get out of the shower the mirror is no longer fogged up.

Fan motor box hole size for ceiling

Have some white caulk available. The light box fit perfectly in the existing hole, a little bit of the square hole was open because the hole from the last fan was a little bigger. I figured the light fan cover would cover up this gap, but unfortunately the cover was a little smaller than the previous cover, so to make up for this I had to caulk around where the gaps are. It would be nice if they can engineer the fan cover to be a little bit bigger for this issue, but it’s still a good idea to caulk around the motor fan box anyway so no air/humidity escapes to the attic and no insulation falls through. Other then that, a little caulk and a little paint, makes a carpenter what he ain’t. ;-)

So far one of the better ones I have bought for the price. Noise is always the concern and you get what you pay for so this was money well spent without breaking the bank.
