works like magic out of the box
I love it right from the time I took it out of the box. Within 24hrs of setting it up, I have emptied the storage tank. it really works well
This dehumidifier releases a very strong chemical smell. I was hoping that it was due to it being new. Unfortunately, months later, it still smells. I have had many different brands, and I will never purchase another one made by GE.

Cover large surface area. Connection for hose larger than anticipated, so will have to get creative finding something to fit to connect.
Poor quality tank, broke in 2 days.
Shut off lever in tank broke the 2nd day I owned it. Tank is very flimsy, made of cheap plastic. Unit did pull 2 tanks of water out and is quiet, but is made way too cheaply.

It stopped working after a week and a half when I used it if you have a warranty, it was almost impossible for me to get in touch with Allstate and I still have it
