Awesome Ice Cream!

I had a Ninja Creami and the blade/turning screw stripped after less than 10 uses. I was super disappointed in that and had to return. Decided on the Whynter and am so happy with it. I can have super creamy ice cream in less than an hour compared to at least 24 hours with the Ninja. It's also a lot quieter and makes more. Great machine, I would def recommend this to anyone looking for homemade ice cream.

Better than Ninja Creami!

I had a Ninja Creami that broke after a month of use. I decided to replace it with the Whynter and made the right choice. The texture is far better, much more creamy. I don't have to wait 24 hours to make my ice cream, with Whynter machine I have fresh tasty ice cream in 1 hour! It's also much quieter than the Ninja. I highly recommend this product.

Makes amazing ice cream

After trying a relatives upright model, this is our favorite! It evenly churns, allows mix-ins and makes the best custard style ice cream. I've found that pre-freezing the container works best. Do yourself a favor and buy The Perfect Scoop to go along with this.

Makes excellent frozen treats and yogurt. Simple to use. Functions as Promised. There are 2 choices either choose the ice cream mode for frozen desserts or the yogurt mode for fresh yogurt. The time for frozen desserts is set to 60 minutes, but you can add or subtract from that. The temp. For yogurt is preset at 130F

I Got a Lemon -- It Doesn't Freeze

I wanted to love this machine. I have had two other professional level home ice cream makers but this is by far the worst, seldom cooling to the level to make ice cream. It takes over two hours and only occasionally works properly, even though it is brand new.

Does not evenly freeze ice cream

I have now used this ice cream maker many times. Although I am happy with the look of it and the low noise level, I am very unhappy with its performance. The ice cream on the sides and bottom of the bowl freeze rock hard way before the rest of the ice cream. This causes the paddle to stop turning. I have no other choice but to remove the ice cream before it is ready. It then starts melting IMMEDIATELY (except for on the sides and bottom). What a huge drippy, sloppy mess. I waste a good portion of the ice cream.

This is a nice-looking, sturdy ice cream maker that’s easy to use and clean. The only negative I’ve found is that as I scoop out the finished product, I find small pockets of barely frozen ice cream/sorbet that melts rapidly. I’m tweaking my recipes to see if I can improve that somehow. I don’t regret buying it. I had another brand that was excruciatingly noisy, but this one is as quiet as a machine can possibly be. Having it on for 60 minutes is quite bearable. Finally, I like that I don’t have to pre freeze the pot, although cooked ice cream bases need to be cooled. They will not be freeze in the preset 60 minutes. You can add time to the presets, but I cool it in the refrigerator.

Great ice cream maker. A good investment.

I love this ice cream maker! It's more expensive, but, makes the best homemade ice cream. It has been a good investment. My family loves my homemade ice cream. I would definitely recommend this ice cream maker.

Such an easy machine to use!

I have been using this for my homemade ice cream business. I love it! My ice cream comes out smooth every time. The only thing that would be better is this being 4 quarts.
