Best stove in the Cosmo(s)!

I purchased this back in June this year but wasn't installed until recently due to the renovations we've undergone. It's been in since October and I must say I'm loving this stove. I do all the cooking at home, and I have to say that over the years of having many different stoves to cook on, both gas and electric, this one is by far the best I've had. The distribution of heat on both my stainless and cast-iron pans is remarkable. They heat up very quickly and cool just as fast. I prefer the stainless top instead of the glass. A little barkeeper's friend and it always looks like new. I also wanted the legs instead of having it sit right on the floor. Adds a touch of style.

Super appealing

I recently remodeled my kitchen, because of the size, my contractor suggested a 36in stove. I agreed not knowing how much more expensive a 36in vs 30in stove is. Like significantly! Anyway, I looked EVERYWHERE. Then I came across COSMO as a brand, read all of the amazing reviews and realized a lot of real chef’s, avid cooks, use this brand and specifically their stoves! It’s only been a month, but I’m enjoying it!

BUYER BEWARE

Purchased Cosmo appliances March 2023. August 2023 the oven/range whether turning on a burner or the oven a beeping sound would happen or a long beep. The owners manual is useless. Cosmo customer service said it was out of warranty to replace because they ONLY give 30 days from purchase date! Cosmo also said unplug and plug back in for a resolution. Cosmo sent two different repair people out. I took videos of the repair and the beeping and even both different service technicians stated the product is poorly designed and Cosmo guided the technicians to repair was to undue zip ties on the electrical and rezip tie wires which did nothing. Cosmo also said unplug and plug back in for a resolution. Which would be multiple times a day when used.

It’s cheep for a reason

We remodeled our house and purchased this product. Worked well for the first few months but then the oven door wouldn’t shut all the way. The customer service center wouldn’t cover it because it was purchased over a year ago (though only installed for a few months). They sent a video with instructions how to check and remove the door and it still won’t close correctly. Sadly, the only contractor that they could find to service the unit is over an hour away and still hasn’t called us back.

Don't buy this--no support for issues!

We bought our home with this model new in the plastic. As we weren't the original buyers there is no warranty (and the warranty is only for a year anyway). This broke (igniter and gas regulator issue) within 9 months of use.

Junk

As multiple other people have stated, this thing is a pile of junk. We bought it toward the end of 2022 and moved into our new home in January 2023. The broiler has never worked. It’ll turn on then turn off after a few seconds and start beeping. A few weeks ago, the oven stopped lighting. This item boasted lots of positive reviews, but it’s been horribly depressing that it’s broken in less than a year. This is not the only cosmo appliance we bought, and others have broken too. Absolute waste of money.

Keeps breaking

I’ve had this oven for a little bit over a year now and it is already broken four times. Luckily I bought the extended warranty and they continue to pay for each fix! Each time it is expensive! The oven has gone out twice the seal around the oven has rotted away, two of the burners have stopped working, and had to be replaced.

Igniter Issues - No Support

We purchased this unit October. 2023. The oven igniter malfunctioned a couple of weeks after installation. It was intermittent. Now after several weeks of calling Cosmo we had to video the issue and send it to the technical team. They determined it was the oven igniter. It took weeks for the part to arrive, backordered. Now that we have the part, they are unable to find a contractor to install the igniter. Their resolution was to send us a list of YouTube videos to do the job ourselves. We called 6 local appliance repair companies, all declined to repair it once they knew it was a Cosmo. It is a shame that a reputable company like Lowe's would even consider representing Cosmo. A black eye for both in my book.

Do Not But This Product It is Junk

After the warranty expired, the gas valve malfunctioned, prompting a call to the gas company due to gas odor. We replaced the part but faced subsequent issues: the oven door seal failed, range units malfunctioned, and the oven stopped working despite replacing the computer board twice. Cosmo's customer service was unhelpful, and the unit's quality is disappointing given its price.

I adore my Cosmo range!

I love to cook and over the years I’ve had a lots of gas ranges, but this is my fave! I thought not having a temp display was going to be an issue but it beeps when it reaches temp. I put an oven thermometer in the oven and I don’t miss having the visual temperature display at all. It also happens to be absolutely beautiful and easy to clean. I tell everybody about this range!

Poor store performance

I paid for the gas install kit at purchase, they sent the wrong one, they never returned my calls to install the range. I paid a plumber to install it. Lowes is off the list now. The stove is OK thus far. They didn't email a installer was selected or on the way. Impossible phone maze. Next time someone else will take my money.

arrived dented, gets incredibly hot

this range arrived dented and the backsplash gets lava hot and does not cool down until an hour after the oven is off. its questionable if this is a defect - i have wrote the company and am waiting to hear back. I had an older version of this oven and did not experience this issue, although that oven had other issues. i am locked into this brand because my kitchen was outfitted with one when it was renovated. this is my second in less than 10 years. so far not impressed.

Avoid at all costs!!

Do not buy this oven! We purchased while we were building and have been using the oven for just under 9 months. The control panel has never worked on it. It also has started randomly beeping and the only thing that will make it stop is to unplug it. Also, the oven will randomly have trouble heating up at times. It is so frustrating to hear “sorry, warranty is expired, there’s nothing we can do” when we haven’t even been using it a year and it is literally a brand new oven. Worst “new home” purchase we made!!

Bad quality

If you want to add a new stress to your busy life, please buy the Cosmo 36 range gas cos-965AGC It will not disappoint.

do not buy

the oven has not worked since we bought it 4 months ago. I am so frustrated I am going to buy a new oven and am going to wait for them to fix it. it is cheaply made the part sent to fix problems didn't work OMG never again I thought samsung was bad this is worst. Their customer service is a nightmare. you will get no where. they told us our stove was a return from 2009. i had to ask why was the box not open why was everything wrapped in seal plastic plus this is 2023. Yes I have given up I want a range for thanks giving I guess I am going to spend the 4k for bosch I have two other bosch items and no problems one is 20 years old and the other 2 years old like they say get what you pay for i would rather pay then come home every evening hearing the oven is not working. I realize most ove the reviews i read were about looks in the good section not operation. I can say when they are bad they are bad get the warranty that is my only hope my warranty is for 5 years but i am still thinking of getting rid of it don't want the headache

Bought oven Jan 2023; oven quit working May 2023. Took entire month to get customer service with Cosmo to get replacement parts to me and that is AFTER I sent requested videos and pictures to them diagnosing issue. They couldn’t get a technician out to get it fixed so I was without an oven for nearly 3 months. This might have been a “lemon” but I returned it and got a different brand. Stove top worked great, oven did not! I wouldn’t recommend this appliance. Customer service is responsive via email, but just did not seem to care that a customer was with out an oven for that length of time.

Good stove

I had read some reviews that said heat comes out of the front of the door. That does not seem to be true on my model. It does get quite warm but it's doing what a stove does.. It is a nice looking stove with a huge oven. The oven is so easy to use when baking. Just turn the knob and hold it in until the oven lights, then set your temperature. The oven temp tested to be spot on too, unlike some reviewers experience. Overall i am pleased with everything other than the huge price tag. This thing better last 50 years.

Oven runs hot and burner won't work

I have really tried hard to like this oven but the problems are persistent and the manufacturer has been unable to fix the issues over what has now been 4 months. Oven burns everything on the non-convection setting and the back left burner won't work (and has never worked since new). Maybe I just got a lemon, if I could turn this thing back in and get my money back I would do it in a heartbeat and buy something that works! I will post an update if they ever get it working.

Two products arrived DOA

This oven looks great! Unfortunately, factory quality control is lacking. The first one arrived (three weeks after it was supposed to), and the installers couldn't get any gas to come out of it. So they loaded it straight back onto the truck.
