Five burners. Front panel controls (knobs can be removed to clean, however the 'knobs' are hollow for back lighting effects - red indicator light when cooktop is still warm or hot temperature; so they will fill up with water if rinsed upside down). Not sure if the control panel knobs can be 'shorted out' due to internal moisture or not? I just shook them out as best I could then let them sit for a few hours to air dry before putting them back into place. I'm assuming that was not necessary as it is a cooktop and accidents and spills can and will happen; but just trying to keep it safe. The cooktop itself is quite heavy for weight and it sits unattached on top of the counter space. This makes it easy to clean spills and overflows; however you may need another person to gently lift and hold the cooktop whilst another person wipes under the edges if needed. The finish looks very modern and high tech (we went with the black finish to match our other kitchen appliances). The control panel knobs offer quite a wide range of various cooking temperatures and they rotate to determine temps to cook with. This is not an induction cooktop. No magnetic cook-wear is required to use this cooktop. All of your existing cookware pots and pans, etc. will work just fine with this unit. (A cooktop buying consideration if you have spent lots of money on higher end cookware and don't want to replace all of it with magnetic based equipment). The cleaning of the cooktop is much different than just a stainless steel finish. It is a ceramic cooktop; which requires more delicate care and non-abrasive cleaners. The unit ships/comes with a 'starter' sample of ceramic cleaner (which was nice). We like the red glow immediate appearance of the heating 'coils' so that you instinctively are aware they are in an 'on' and heating status (or cooling down after use) for safety reasons. Overall, we are pleased with this cooktop.

After having the cooktop for about a week, so far so good. Cleans up nicely, if you do get something on it and it gets stuck soak it and eventually it will come off. After having a cooktop blow up on me this is simple not too much electronic and so far I am enjoying it

Smooth Transition from Gas Cooktop

Our very old 36" Gas Cooktop died (inherited from previous house owner) and I was looking for a 36" Electric Radiant Cooktop (go green). The first challenge was finding a Cooktop that fits the existing Cutout. I spent hours and hours of research, looking at every single brand in North America, and only the Frigidaire 36" Electric Cooktop will fit -- this is because it allows for wide range: 33-7/8" to 36-1/8" for cutout length and 19-1/8" to 20-1/2" for cutout width. I called Frigidaire and the Rep told me that the cutout range specified in their website is correct and I don't need to put extra support. The second challenge is that I wanted to know if the stainless steel part (where the knobs are located) is higher than the cooktop surface; the Frigidaire Rep was not too sure. I took the risk and ordered it. When it arrived, I was relieved to see that the Knobs are located about 1/8" higher than the cooktop glass surface; this means that liquid spills on the surface will not flow into the Knobs. I had it professionally installed. My wife and I are happy with this GCCE3670AS and we did not miss our Gas cooktop. (We had Electric Radiant Range before so we are fully aware of the differences). We clean the surface regularly as recommended in the User Manual.

I was not sure I would like the way the eyes stand out with spokes rather than just a circle like many cooktops. I love it and think it looks great. I love the indicator lights on the knob. It glows white if on and red if still hot and both are very easy to see.

[Rewarded Review] Adjusting and learning how to love my new cooktop

This cooktop is beautiful. I’ve had it for only a week and am still in the adjustment period. I love the look and placement of the control knobs. I’m not a fan of the white (on) and red (hot) indicator lights UNDER the knobs as they are difficult to see. Also the burners seem slower to heat up and must be turned up higher than I’m used to cook on.If you turn a burner on for 30-60 seconds and turn it off the burner is extremely hot to the touch but the red indicator light is not on so there is a possibility of pain /burn if you touch the burner. I haven’t used all of the 5 burners and I realize now that 4 was and would have been sufficient. I miss my old Frigidaire cooktop and am hoping that I will grow to love this one someday too.

This appliance is everything it promised to be. Price point was exactly what we were looking for, getting this much quality for the price was a bonus. Would highly recommend.

[Rewarded Review] My 36" Electric Cooktop

I didnt really want a glass cook top because of my past experience with the maintnenace. But this model is doing well. It has plenty of room and cooking space. Looks good with the flat glass cooking surface. Once you learn how to cook on a glass top its a breeze. I would recommend it if you dont have gas in your area.
