Installation is a issue

Installation. Took me awhile for me to figure out the requirements for what this dual fuel stove required as far as the 40 amp breaker and 8 awg wire requirements. Kind of Buried in the manual.

Faults of a recommended dual fuel 30" range

We had been warned away from Korean appliances because of parts and service problems. We were assured that they now have a parts depot just a few states away from us. This unit was highly recommended and it checked all of our boxes. However, we discovered that there were other boxes that we could not have known about until we lived with the unit - lesser boxes that it failed. We described these (mostly design faults) in a previous rating, LG is a dishonorable company. They have yet to approve their advertised rebate, for which we clearly qualify. In several contacts, they are trying to wriggle out of it. When, in the store, we clearly stated that we could do without many of the bells and whistles of this unit (wi-fi connectivity, for example) we were not informed that the basic unit was available without all of that and for as much as $700.00 less. We should have pushed harder. The buyer must take full responsibility for doing a diligent investigation.

[Rewarded Review] Returned!

If I could I would give a 0! I never tried the range because installer couldn't Install it. I had a window between 2-6pm and the installer came at 8:30 pm and was not really up for the work. Complained about a wrong size of my gas line pipe and then unscrewed the whole pipe and told me that I need plumber to replace a bad pipe! I called Horizon and spent $450 to replace the pipe and had to reschedule installation. Few days later installer called me to tell me they were 30min away and then Best Buy called to reschedule again! I never even got an apology from Best Buy. I returned the range and will never ever buy anything from this store.

We are so happy to have this LG gas range (propane for us) / electric oven, a definite upgrade to our kitchen. A month ago we extended the propane line into the kitchen and now we’re cookin’ with gas again! The burner grates are beautifully sturdy, and the oven offers air fry (which we need to learn about) with its own special tray, as well as convection and in-oven thermometer. Installation was smooth and everything runs perfectly. There are other LG models that are more expensive but this one seems to have it all. The only small annoyance is it takes two hands to pull out the bottom storage drawer, but maybe it will loosen in time.

Love everything about this but cleaning

We love everything about the range except the burner pan area. It has an extremely rough texture, similar 180 grit sandpaper. Everything we've tried to clean it with leaves thousands of pieces of lint. We are working with LG's appliance repair company, and they just brought two new burner pans, and straight out of the box, are just as rough as the one on our range now. The tech took pictures and video and are going to contact LG to get an answer. If there is no solution, we're returning this.

Don’t do it!

We renovated our kitchen in 2018 and bought an LG package that included this range. It’s a beautiful paperweight. 3 years in the oven stopped working. We kept getting the F9 error which means the unit will not go over 100 degrees. We had LG come out numerous times. We had the igniter replaced twice, the control board once and still the over failed. The LG guy could not tell us how to get our oven to work so after just 4 short years, it went in the trash. This is not cheap range. On top of that we did black stainless which is $1000 more than regular stainless for some unknown reason. That is insane. Especially when that black stainless is just a film over plain ole stainless that starts to peel after only a couple years making your $7,000 package look like garbage. All of our appliances are peeling the fridge being the worst. I do not recommend this range nor do I recommend any LG appliances. They charge outrageous prices and their product is junk.

Very Nice

Best range I've ever owned! I like the added feature to "proof" your yeast bread for rising. Using the proof setting will set the oven temperature to 98 degrees. I also like the feature of tapping the oven door glass twice and it turns on or off the oven light. I like the blue interior. Easy cleaning. I don't use the WIFI app. Only concern is the large right front burner. It has two flames, a small inner and a larger outer. You can use the inner flame only or with the large outer. When using both, the inner flame has no control and burns wide open while you can adjust the large outer flame from simmer to wide open, the smaller flame is wide open. Controls knobs are large and easy to use. When the oven reaches it set temperature it sounds, plus the oven light flashes off and on several times.

[Rewarded Review] Capable, attractive, feature-rich, and competitively priced

There’s so much to like about this range that a five-star rating is a nearly foregone conclusion. The initial impression is that it’s really, REALLY, attractive. The fingerprint-proof stainless finish was shiny when first installed, and stays bright with minimal effort, while the bright blue oven cavity stays sparkly even with frequent use of the air fryer setting. Both a quick liquid clean, and a traditional high-heat, hours-long clean cycle, provide multiple paths towards keeping a clean appliance, inside and out. This is a somewhat rare dual-fuel appliance, providing a gas cooktop and an electric oven, with the strong suits of each on full display. A variety of burner sizes and BTU strengths support various pan sizes and cooking needs, from a low simmer with a barely perceptible flame, to a dual-ring burner at its highest setting that can make an oil rig fire look tame. My previous stove required a cast iron “interposer plate” between burner and delicate cooking, and I kept it for use here, but no such accommodation is required! Removeable cast iron burner grates provide a level surface across the entire cooktop, and the stainless surface beneath is sealed, so spills and spatters can be easily cleaned.

[Rewarded Review] only dual fuel for me

This LG dual fuel range is the second range I have owned that is duel fuel. It is the best of both worlds. When you have a gas cooktop, you have infinite settings for better control and with an electric oven, you get a more even heat needed especially for baking. This LG range has more features than my almost twenty-year-old range. I now have a stovetop griddle, an air frying basket, and a meat probe that all came with the range. The oven did not have a setting for toasting and I did use that feature on my old range, so I went online with LG "live chat" and got information on how to make the oven into a toaster and they even gave me a link to a video to watch showing step-by-step directions and it only took a few minutes to get all the information you will ever need. I like keeping my countertop as open as possible and with all of the functions of this range, you will not need all those other appliances cluttering up your kitchen space. It also has an air sous-vide setting. The grates are easily removed, as well as the oven door making cleaning much easier. You must check the connections where you are going to place your range. I had to add the electric connection many years ago and it could be expensive. You cannot use a regular wall outlet. For the gas connection, you will need a shutoff valve for the range. Happy cooking!
