Good looking and nice features
I love the air fryer feature as well as the speed at which the oven pre-heats. The burners are also powerful. I might be impressed because this unit is replacing a stove range that was 17+ years old, and of lesser level of features. However, the old one (different brand) was replaced before it failed. I cannot give this unit 5 stars because the fifth star is given only after it has gone for at least 7 years without a problem, and by then this model will be discontinued. So features wise this unit is awesome. About reliability and time before something breaks, I can't predict.
Worst Oven I have ever owned
Replacement for a Samsung (18month) stove that had a bad circuit board, out of stock for unknown amount of time. The stovetop is great. Heavy duty grates nice burners, but the oven is terrible. The heating element is on the back wall of this oven. It constantly overheats, you have to manually guess and adjust temperature for baking. Burns almost everything that is closest to back wall while the items closest to door are not cooked thru! Very poor design in my opinion. Do not recommend this oven.
[Rewarded Review] Major problem with exposed elevtronics
I bought this range 2 years ago and it is beautiful. I decided that I'm not a fan of the griddle. I'd rather use a pan to cook on as the griddle is quite heavy and more difficult to clean. Items stick too easily as well. The griddle also prevents larger pans from fitting well. The Turbo burner is very hot, but the two burners on the left are as well. The right rear burner is the simmer, but sometimes you need to cook several dishes slowly. You really can't with this range. The major flaw is the vent behind the burners. Liquids can easily spill down the back, and the electronics that control the oven are exposed and can be damaged quite easily. My oven will not work and the electronic board is about 500 plus labor to repair. My repairman states that the boards are only warranted for a few months. My question is, why would you design it so that the electronics can be so easily damaged?
[Rewarded Review] Wonderful Stove
LG all the way! I’ve been replacing Samsung appliances as quickly as the company makes them. LG is our choice for replacement. This stove is amazing! I particularly like the Air Fry function. I almoat use this weetting as my goto setting for genral cooking on the stove. We are very conscious to wipe and clean the unit off thoroughly to keep it in good looking and working order. The lower temp self cleaning optiion is preferred to prevent any problems with the mainboard or screen being damaged over time. Knocking on the glass to turn on the oven light is a gimmick I’m cool with. I haven’t needed to use the broil feature as of yet. The bkie color interior is a nice touch. The stove is just as great. Temps are even accross all f the burners. I wish the main cook top wqs black porcelain instead of stainless as the grates scratch the stainless very easily. Rock soild oven!
[Rewarded Review] Love this Range!!!
This is a beautiful range. I love how far it cooks food in the oven. On the stove top there’s a small simmer burner. I don’t know how they did this, but it’s amazing. It’s exactly what the burner says. It simmers rice amazingly well. This is my favourite! My only complaint is the grill gets stained which doesn’t always come off. If you look closely, you can see stain from grease that spilled over. That’s why I give a for out of five. Other than that I still would recommend this range. You just have to ensure you clean it once you’re finished cooking after the grill cools. It’s a beautiful range. I received so many compliments on how beautiful my kitchen looks. That’s without is putting in the new countertops and backsplash.
Very Good Stove
This was our first gas stove so there is a bit of a learning curve when cooking on it. We burned a couple of things when cooking on the top burners because they get very hot extremely quickly and we were not used to that. Once we realized what was going on, we were able to cook properly and things went well. We have used the Air Fry feature and it works well but needs about 20% more time to cook things. I suspect that is because of the larger volume of air in the oven. There is more cleaning needed on the cook top than on an electric stove but we are willing to put up with that minor inconvenience. Everything else works as claimed. Overall, an attractive stove that works very well.
Buyer beware. Looks pretty but leaks gas!
Purchased this stove as a floor model. Was told it was only a floor model because newest model was coming in. First we had to load and install ourselves since it was a floor model. We did purchase the extended warranty but a lot of good that has done us. Got stove hooked up and it immediately filled the house with gas smell. Shut off line looked at all connections nothing was leaking. Tried again and it immediately smelled of gas again. Used a gas sniffer and it found a leak in the stove behind the oven drawer on the inside. On Monday called Lowe’s and they said either return or call LG because it’s within the 1 year warranty from the manufacturer. LG states Lowe’s should be taking care of this and a gas specialist must come look at the line since we installed it. Called a the gas specialist and he stated we were going to be charged for an appointment and he wouldn’t do anything since it’s the stove! Called LG back on Tuesday and they said okay we will put in a ticket and a technician will call to set up an appointment. Now it’s Friday and no call so we call LG again. they state Lowe’s technicians should be taking care of this but because it’s a safety issue they will have a technician reach out to set up an appointment in 3-5 business days. Now I’m furious I have nothing to cook meals on and theirs an appliance that leaks gas sitting in my home with children! I call Lowe’s done with it and ask how to start a return. Well since it’s now past 48 hours I can’t. The receipt doesn’t state return policy it says to go to Lowe’s.com and the person assisting us never mentioned it at purchase. It also took them 15 minutes to get a supervisor on the phone to tell me this. They then tell me to call customer care to express my grievances. I then wait 30 minutes online for customer care to tell me they can’t help me in anyway and they transfer me to LG once again. I’m enraged at this point and tell LG I want this escalated again there is no reason after calling them 3 times I should still be waiting for 3-5 business days just to get an appointment in the books. Finally they come back and give me an appointment 4 days from now. The customer service on both ends is horrible. You can both do better. As for the stove I can’t even tell you how it works since I’ve had it for a week and a half and it’s been broken since I bought it! I will never purchase and appliance from Lowe’s or LG again. This stove is going to be a nightmare and I have such regrets with how much I spent on it.
If you hate crowding your pans this is your stove
20.75" grates (front to back) allow for two 10" pans on the same side of the range without crowding; the main reason I bought the LG. It seems ~19" is standard, and since I don't care for crowding they're no-gos.
Missing in action
So many wonderful features but it's really missing the mark on some key safety features. Firstly, although the surface burners do go down to a very tiny simmer, there is no dial illumination to indicate that a burner is on. With a pot on the stove and the dial in a certain position, it looks off. Then there is the center console controls. The only part that is visible or illuminated is the time (or temperature when on) and the start button. That leaves at least 9 function buttons you can't see unless room lighting is high. It's pretty awful when you can't see the function buttons on the control panel.
[Rewarded Review] I Love My New LG Range!
I recently moved, and the house came with a 10+ year old contractor-grade GE gas range. I really missed the LG range I had at my previous house, so I decided to ditch the GE when I found this one on sale. I really love this range! The 5-burner design with the center griddle-sized oval is fantastic. The assortment of burners is perfect - I always have the right size for the cookware I need to use. I really like the layout with all the controls on the front and the back sitting flush with the countertop which gives it a “built-in” look. The large knobs and stainless trim around the oven window also make it look very high-end. The knobs have a solid, quality feel.
[Rewarded Review] It's a stove... set time from network is flawed
It's a stove. It does stove things really well, like heating things inside the oven and on the cooktop. They make a point of calling this a "Smart" stove.
