Flushes well like a toilet should

This is the third of this same type of toilet I’ve installed with the older two installed 4 years ago. If you have good toilet venting, the flushing is excellent; 2 of the 3 of these toilets I have do, and one of them requires you to hold the handle several seconds to get a good flush likely because of mediocre venting. Installation is relatively easy, the toilet is clean cut, and the performance is reliable overall. I’d recommend this toilet to anyone.

Toilet does not come with a toilet seat & seals

The gentleman also left about 5 oil stains in my driveway where he parked his truck.

Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Complete toilet unit, straight forward installation. Only comments would be regarding the supplied wax seal, I would have appreciated one with a flange, had to replace the original due to a leak.

Best toilet on market

Best flushing toilet for children. We have replaced three of the four builder installed dual flush toilets with this American Standard one. We don’t have to constantly plunge clogged toilets now. Low flow is a good concept but not practicable for children.

Just what we wanted

Could not find the standard height at any of the box stores around us. Delighted to be able to buy direct. Shipping was fast and the toilet arrived in perfect condition.

Works great just as I wanted. ("Standard" height + elongated bowl + 1.6gpf) is perfect. Flushes effectively. Not loud.

Great toilet

Its a really great toilet and easy to install. My husband is 81 and I am 72 and we managed, no problem.

The worst performing toilet - avoid at all cost

We purchased two of these to replace 20 year old toilets that were beginning to not function well. We had two plumbers come out to inspect the lines and both identified the problem as hard water buildup in the old. Both recommended American Standard. We regret ever purchasing these. It takes several flushes to get the waste down. After the fact, I have found numerous Youtube and blogs describing the poor performance with possible hacks to fix. Save your money or use a better product rather than have to resort to hacks to make the toilet work. The golf balls and the marshmallows are total lies....

Does NOT full wash the Bowl

We had a Champion CADET 4, placed in our home a couple of years ago. The tank capacity is NOT enough to Fully wash the BOWL. We purchased it as a Recomended from our Plumber! The height is good. It did not come with a Toilet Seat, At over $400, I had to purchase a Toilet seat. We had to pay EXTRA to have it come in the Color to match our Tub and Sink!

Poor Quality Control, But a Fantastic Toilet!!

The white finish is flawed, bare spot without finish coat. Located on the top of the bowl rim, very obvious!!! Also the shaft/stem that keeps the "flapper" aligned was not attached. Thus not allowing flapper to 'set' properly, continued to run/drain until I repaired it. Interested to see if these reviews are of concern to the company and if you will stand behind your product. Meaning, will you send me the product needed to repair the finish as was done for others with this same problem.(would accept 'repair' rather than remove and replace) Otherwise, I am VERY SATISFIED with the functionality of this toilet! Would have been 5 stars with better quality control!! Will replace my other toilets with the "Optum" model next.

Marketing Shortcomings

We bought 3 champion pro's mainly because of the flushing capability professed by its marketing. I thought "no more plunging" . But I was soon disheartened by having to use my plunger after about a week. We are also having a problem with one of the toilets leaking/running. I've watched all the American Standard videos on line about how to change the Champion series flapper - but it seems that the Champion Pro's flapper mechanism is different from the Champion 4's flapper and there are NO videos for the Pro mechanism. Over rated marketing on one hand and insufficient marketing on the other.

Great flushing power

I purchased two Champion Pro 1.28 GPFs a month ago and no regrets.

Too Soon To Judge Quality

Purchased a replacement for a AS Champion toilet that was installed 5 years ago. The tank cracked for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, we didn't register the warranty.

We purchased this toilet based on the great reviews, and the price seemed reasonable with the percentage discount and in comparison to other ones we were comparing. Long warranty and fits the tight space. Would recommend buying this one.

Excellent Product

Funny to say, but we are fans of this toilet. In our prior home, I replaced 3 of the original toilets(c. 1960's) with these. When we moved again in 2015, our house had 3 first generation low-flow toilets -- nightmare. I have replaced them all with the Champion 4. Easy installation and we like the height.
