The unit in itself is a decent unit, is the quality control that lacks , the back of the tank is very rough a there is a black mark under the finish on the side of the bowl , I’m sorry I didn’t see it before installing it . Other than that ok …I think American Standard lowered the quality of their products.

Always looks gross

The rim porcelain finish does not cover the lower portion of the rim vertical surface. The exposed ceramic material has become extremely stained. The staining is visible when approaching the toilet even with the toilet seat down. This is very unsanitary and gross looking.

Clogs a lot

I installed this summer 2021. I got American Standard because our other toilet is and has never clogged in about 10 years.

Nice styling and the tank is compact . I have a lot more room around the toilet! Very nice! The seat height is perfect for me with bad knees. But it doesn’t look like a handicap toilet!

The only reason I am giving it a four is because in order for the toilet to flush, I have to hold the handle down longer than normal. At the time this toilet was installed, I had a different toilet that was plugged. The guys installing the toilet thought that the plug was throughout the house because it wasn't flushing down. That was not the issue. The first time I used the toilet is when I figured out I had to hold the handle down longer for it to fully flush. The reason the other toilet plugged was because of too much TP in a cheap low-flow toilet. I think the video on the website is deceptive. While I haven't had any problems with anything going down, I also have been very careful with the TP now. While many things may go down the toilet, you need to consider how big your septic lines are as well. I can't say my previous 15-year old toilets never got plugged, but I was always able to free them up myself. It's expensive when you have to pay someone to unplug your septic line. Overall, it seems like a good toilet, I'm just letting others know to be aware of what they are getting. The other reason I gave it a four was because the on-line dates for delivery to the store and when I got notified did not mesh and I ended up waiting longer to get a toilet I desperately needed (this was exactly the time of my other toilet plugging). Times and dates didn't mesh on repeated e-mails I got. This is an ongoing issue that Home Depot needs to address.

It's a nice toilet. My only suggestion would be that future models come with a seat.

The toilet works fine but the lid has impact cracking that HomeDepot couldn’t fix the problem other than me purchasing another toilet. Since this wasn’t stocked I couldn’t wait for a replacement to come in. Much less my old toilet was already removed.

The ceramic finish on the top rim of the bowl of the toilet we purchased was defective. The glazing on the rim had small pits in it. I tried three times to contact the American Standard Customer "No Service" Department at the number listed on their web site. I was on hold for 35 minutes the first day I called; then for 1 hour the second day; and finally, for 1 hour and 35 minutes the third day. I never was able to speak to an American Standard Customer Representative(!) about my toilet. I finally gave up. The three hours and 10 minutes of my time on "hold" listening to the message that "someone will be with you shortly" cost me more than the price of the toilet.

I had some concern that the water efficiency would impact the flush -- not to worry! The flush is strong.

Very pleased with these toilets, I purchased three. I was concerned about the flushing capabilities since I was replacing old style toilets (35 year old American Standards) but I have to say I really feel like these flush better. Definitely like the higher seat.

Stains inside

Had a KOHLER low boy and replaced with this one. Flushes great and a nice looking toilet. I did my homework before I purchased and decided on this one because of the description anti microbial, so didn’t expect to lift the lid to clean in two days to find brown ring right above water line. That was on Tuesday. On Wednesday fine, Thursday looked like it hadn’t been cleaned inside bowl, definitely lightest brown film inside bowl. I have American Standard in two other bathrooms for 47 years and they have never done this, certainly hope this doesn’t continue. Disappointed because with the feature advertised self cleaning, power wash, anti microbial I was hoping for and expected better,
