Likely Required Internal Part Replacement
Internal rough in valve was not functional. Had to return then ultimately had to go to the ACE hardware store to make sure we received a proper functioning valve. While they sent me a replacement it was 7 days out. When you have a remodel and contractor, time is money. For the price it shouldn’t be a commonly replaced part (according to customer service).

This is a quality, solid brass valve. I like the screwdriver water stops. The stops allow the trim handle to be removed and replaced without having to turn off the main water supply for my entire home.
Perfect for my needs
For those in my situation - hand shower only (outlet beneath the handle, like a tub): Delta is vague on whether you can install this valve upside down (i.e. hot and cold still on the correct sides, but arranged so the outlet points down instead of up.) I did and it works perfectly. You simply index the cartridge 180 degrees off (i.e. "Top" is still top).
Wayfair prices air incredible. Same quality product but half the price. The help staff answered all my questions.
I am re-doing a bathroom and needed this part. My plumber says it's one of the better-made ones he's seen.
