Installed less than a month already broken

Lowes return policy is unreasonable as it took a long time to get this installed as it takes a separate plumber and electrician. It broke in less than a month after install. This product is junk and they only give 48 hours to return! I will NEVER shop Lowes again

Defective unit and awful customer service

Down to 5 mins of hot water in 45 days, then none 2 weeks later. Customer service gave me testing to do, I called back with results that showed a broken element, was told that wasn't enough testing and had to do more. Couldn't have just provided me with all the testing up front?? Next round showed all three elements were defective. I didn't realize this was a parts only warranty. But if all 3 elements are broken, wouldn't it make sense to just send me a new unit? Nope.

No support

I bought their previous design, worked pretty good but, when things started failing they said they didn't make replacement parts. I could pull boards from a used unit but, they refused to tell me how to set the boards for the turn on flow rate. Very disappointed with this company.

[Rewarded Review] Tankless water heater

I loved the customer service at the Alexandria Lowe’s . Had an excellent employee . Wish I would have gotten his name. I needed an extra part with this tankless water heater . He pointed that out and it was ordered as well , so project was not delayed.

[Rewarded Review] Tankless water heater, does a great job.

Had one prior to this one, same model and brand, lasted 7 years.

Nice Unit That Works Well

I am enjoying my hot showers with no fear of suddenly getting cold water like the propane unit I replaced. It took the electricians about 3 hours to wire the unit up. It takes 3 40 amp circuits to power this. Up front costs were a bit much, but savings over propane should make this far less expensive to operate in the long run.

8 years of care free service

(2100 sqft home) Heating water for 2 bathrooms and kitchen fed by well water at 62-68 °F. Excellent water heater. Most tank* electric water heaters in a house this size can be suggested is 1/3 of the power bill rule of thumb. Mine calculates to about 20% of the bill. My yearly power bill monthly average* prior to install of this unit was $172 month. $.13 per KWH. Past 8 years monthly bill has ranged $123 at lowest and $154 highest during year with an average* of $139 per year. Saving me $3168 over the 8-year period. Maintenance: after 4 years; Turn off water & power, use fittings 3/4-inch or 11.5NH, (for typical hose bib) and use washing machine hoses, a small electric sump in 5-gallon bucket, circulate 2 gallons white vinegar about 30 minutes. Repeat in 4 years. These tankless water heaters heat based on the rate of flow and temp of water. When it says 99.8% Energy efficient, it's not a misprint.

Replacement for Tankless Water Heater

Bought this to replace an older version of the same capacity by EEMax; it is very sufficient; home was already wired for it since I had older version of the same capacity; Would recommend SupplyHouse.com for purchases; product arrived quickly as they described.

Excellent Unit

I replaced a 50 Gal. tank with this unit. Pretty easy installation, if you have plumbing and electrical skills, otherwise you may need a contractor.

Didn’t last - dead after 28 months

Bought it 4th of July weekend two years ago and jt died this past weekend. It sprung a leak at the top of the heat exchanger and fried the controller. Without the ORIGINAL receipt, they wouldn’t even consider a warranty replcement. Beware!

we love it

Two thumbs up. This unit replaced our old eemax unit that went out on us. Shipping from lowes took about a week. The shipping speed could improve but the tankless unit is fantastic.

I would buy this product again.

It replaced our first "on demand" heater Which lasted nearly 10 years. Upgraded to 8 GPM from 5 GPM. Could not be happier with its performance.

So far so good. Makes plenty of hot water.

It works as advertised but time will tell if it lasts. The last one was the same brand and lasted 10 years with no issues, but then started having many repeated issues. It was cheaper to replace than repair the old one.

[Rewarded Review] Do not buy this if you have hard water.

We live on a ranch with very VERY hard water. This water heater does not have a filter, therefore our minerals are heating up and crystallizing on their way out ruining all our faucets and washing machine. We have replaced the shower head 3 times within the last year and it still gets clogged EVERY TIME WE SHOWER. We are forced to constantly take off faucet heads while we use them. The build up causes the water to not heat up somehow. It was a complete waste of money and has been an extreme hassle.
