TOTO Toilet
The toilet was just what we ordered and arrived very quickly.
Expectations met
Everything one expects from a toilet. The right height. Old toilet would not flush properly without plunger after a “big job”. Works every time with this toilet.
Quality?? Nope
Neutral on this Toto Drake. There are a ton of great reviews but I am not sold on them and believe they are overrated. I purchased (2) Drakes and one leaked (at the tank to bowl gasket) and the other one does not fill up to an appropriate level. BOTH have the noisiest self closing seats I have ever encountered. The fill valves are preset at the factory and there is no adjustment. Customer support verifies this and will have to send a replacement fill valve. I thought the idea was that if you spent more on a Toto you were buying quality ........doesn't seem to be the case and if I had to do it over, I would have purchased (2) Kohler Cimarrons.
Excellent toilet, but arrived broken
The toilet itself is excellent, but build.com doesn't know how to properly package and ship it as it didn't have FRAGILE written on the box and sure enough it came damaged. While I did get a refund I'm not impressed that a company like build.com that specializes in construction materials would not properly ship a toilet.
