Best cooktop I ever owned

This Empava cooktop is an excellent product this far . I have owned it for 2 years now after cooking on gas for all my life. The advantages over a gas cooktop are huge. Very easy to clean, heats up much faster and cost a lot less than cooking on gas. The product is easy to use and looks much nicer in the kitchen than the gas cooktop. I was a little hesitant with the for me unknown brand name compared with far more expensive ones like Bosch, General Electric and other more recognized names.

Inconsistent Heating

I don’t understand all of the good reviews, because my experience was more in line with the negative ones. The cooktop is very nice looking, but the burners only heat the middle 6” of the pans, even on the largest burners. The heat is also very inconsistent. It pulses so much that you can see it. While cooking pasta, the water would bubble, then stop, then bubble, then stop, repeatedly. Same thing with cooking chicken. It would sizzle, then stop, sizzle, then stop. Food at the edges of the pan (but within the supposed burner area) would not cook, while food in the middle burned. I used several brands & types of pans (stainless steel & cast iron) all with the same results. After two weeks, I returned the cooktop to the store.

Wasn't the right type but if I kept it. It would of been borderline perfection.

Beautiful stove

This is a great looking stove. We had pots that passed the magnet test, but wouldn't work on the stove. It was a rerurn it or get all new cookware situation. We love our cookware, so . . .

Perfect drop in replacement for GE Monogram old cook top. Used now a few weeks with no issues all but one pan works with the induction burners.

First-time Induction Cooker

This is my first induction stove so I am still leaning about it. However, I do like the quick heating response, and the fact I know it's using less power is great. I like the flat surface that doubles as more counter work space and ease of cleaning. And so far, I have been able to use all of my cookware on the stove. It is not as selective as I was led to believe. The cycling on and off takes a bit to get used to because when the stove cycles off, it stops cooking momentarily and there is not a lot of residual heat to keep the food cooking as in radiant stoves. Also the buttons are really sensitive and when wiping up spills, it is easy to turn the stove off.

Fit and looks great. Exactly what i was looking for. Perfect for the size, location, and clean.

Transition from gas made easy

Well made cooktop. Mild learning curve for transitioning from gas to induction.

Doesn't heat evenly, basically useless

We owned induction cooktop for years before we moved to a new home and tried Empava. This unit will burn things in the center of the pan before cooking near edges of pan. This is especially noticeable on the large pan location. For example, cooking a large pancake burns the center of the pancake before the edges are cooked enough to flip it. Contacted Empava and they asked for videos and photo, they told us this is how the stovetop works. This is not how good induction works. Bad service!

Happy we switched from gas

It took a bit to get used to cooking with induction (how quickly pans heat up and what temperature setting to use), a little frustrating at first, but happy with it now! We replaced our gas stove during our remodel, but we're really happy with the looks and performance and have no thoughts of going back. It's really nice not having to clean between the grates anymore!! I haven't used other induction stoves, so I wouldn't be able to comment on the how/why to get this one over another one. But we are very happy with the price and quality of this induction stove.

Really impressed with induction cooking, it’s faster and easier to control than gas or conventional electric. Empava was affordable but just as good as name brands.

36" induction stove top

Purchased a 36" induction stove top. Perfectly flat surface, no knobs. Had one element stop working. Contacted Customer service and they expedited a replacement. Everything works as it should. Customer service is awesome.

Great Induction Cooktop Choice

We recently purchased an Empava 36" Induction Cooktop and it has been performing great so far! It heats up extremely fast. We did have to adjust our cooking habits a bit from gas and did buy have to new pots and pans, but that was expected. The flat, sleek induction cooktop looks great and is very easy to clean which is why is switched from a gas top. I would highly recommend Empava to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen with a great product at a great price.

Empava induction cooktop

General appearance is good. Price is favorable c/w Samsung. However,it does not function as good as Samsung. It noisier and power or heat is intermittent rather than constant(not as smooth). The warranty is 2 yearg""s which is longer than Samsung. I would say Empava induction cooktop is bigger "ban" for the buck.

Empava 36 in

Solid purchase. We have used this stovetop for 2 months no with zero complaints. Compared to all the higher brand name units, this unit is a great price with its features and looks and simple installation.
