[Rewarded Review] Great but limited

This thing worked great. Our ac unit died and we used this to supplement it while we were getting it replaced. It kept my living room cooler for sure but it workers best in my bedroom at night. It’s a master bedroom with bathroom. Kept the whole room freezing at night in July here in Vegas lol. It works but better suited for smaller spaces.

I have the three and one portable and it’s the best thing I could’ve ever gotten. My house was always so hot and very muggy since I’ve gotten this my whole entire house. I have a two bedroom one living room one bathroom and one kitchen. Everything gets cooled by just one little AC in the other AC I had in the window would only do justice for the living room where it was placed. This is the best thing I ever gotten and only needing one for all rooms is the best.

My central air conditioning unit went out and I live in Texas. The Frigidaire portable unit I purchased at Lowe's claimed to cool 350 square feet. My open concept floor plan is approximately 850 square feet and I was concerned although I did not want to purchase too much as my central A/C was to be replaced on Monday. This was the Tuesday before the installation. To my pleasant surprise, this portable unit kept practically the whole kitchen, foyer and living room comfortable as the temperature outside went above 95 degrees! Not only was I pleased with my purchase I would recommend this Frigidaire portable A/C to anyone who asks!

I purchased this from bestbuy.com in May of 2023. I used it for a couple of months last summer and then for this summer season. We traveled for 2 months last summer and 1 month this summer - so not really a ton of use. Well the unit just died, completely. I spoke with Frigidaire who repeatedly informed me that the warranty is only 12 months and refused to support in any way. They said these are not worth fixing as repair costs are more than a new one. They said under warranty they just send out a new one, because again, not worth fixing, but warranty is only 12 months. Basically these are disposable. Quality is poor and customer service from Frigidaire/Electrolux is worse. Don’t throw $500 away. Go with a different brand.

Would highly recommend getting the higher BTU if you have more than 400 square feet. Living in Seattle, where it doesn't get terribly hot, this mostly covers just a large living room... Otherwise, it's been great. Louder than expected (even just with the fan setting). Something to keep in mind is that Frigidaire customer service is EXTREMELY difficult to get a hold of if you need help troubleshooting issues. The "Clean filter" light has been on consistently basically since purchasing the unit, despite a perfectly clean filter, and no amount of troubleshooting has helped. Not Wayfair's issue, something to consider when buying any Frigidaire-branded product, though.

I highly recommend going with this well-known brand for peace of mind. We ended up getting an additional 5-year warranty. I wish I got this sooner! You will be happy too

I’ve recently bought the Frigidaire 3 and 1 portable AC unit and it is doing everything it’s designed to do. Although I have only run it in Fan and Cool modes, it’s meeting my expectations for cooling or moving air in my upper bedroom which is about 500 square feet.

We absolutely LOVE this new air conditioner! We live in Texas where it can regularly be over 100 degrees, this ac keeps our room at a cool 73 degrees, it is not noisy like some other reviewers have said but hey who cares, we enjoy the cool more than I care about the fact I hear it running! So far no problems and it is quite nice having an ac system that isn't sucking in pollens, mold, etc from the old style window unit air conditioners! We are Frigidaire folks all the way! Thanks guys for a great ac system!

This portable AC has been working well. I haven't used the Dry setting, which requires a separate drainage, and I don't really need anyway. It cools my bedroom very well. I don't love the window kit it came with, which feels somewhat flimsy compared to my last one. And it has an annoying way of turning the fan off while it's running, then turning on again when it needs to run the compressor. I guess this saves energy, but while I'm sleeping, the total loss of sound, then the sound of it turning on again wakes me up. My old unit turned the compressor on and off but left the fan running, which I much prefer. I can't figure out how to stop this behavior, and I almost returned it because of this. Otherwise, though, it works well. I like the fact you can control it from your phone; you can see what temperature it is in the room, which is nice, and you can control it remotely.

I bought a portable AC from another store a few weeks before Hurricane Beryl. That unit was nothing compared to the Frigidaire that we got at Best Buy. My family and I went without power for 7 full days. Thank GOD I was able to get my hands on a Frigidaire AC during the power outage. It was a blessing to be able to purchase it and keep at least one bedroom in the house cooled. Since then, we have purchased 2 more units, so we are ready for the next power outage. I have recommended this to friends and they have purchased it as well and they luv it. We returned the first portable AC back to the other store and got a full refund.

I'VE ONLY HAD THIS UNIT FOR 6 MONTHS AND WE DISCOVERED IT HAS SOME SORT OF AN AIR CLEANING FUNCTION IN ADDITION TO IT BEING AN AIR CONDITIONER. THE UNIT STOPPED WORKING AND INDICATED THAT THE FILTERS NEED CLEANING - A YELLOW LIGHT ILLUMINATED CALLED "CLEAN FILTER" OR SOMETHING. I CLEANED THE LARGE FILTER ON THE BACK - IT WAS QUITE CLOGGED. THE UNIT STARTED AND THEN SHUT OFF AGAIN. I RESEARCED THE UNIT AND DISCOVERED IN THE MANUAL THAT THERE ARE IN FACT TWO FILTERS THAT NEED CLEANING. THE BOTTOM FILTER ON THE BACK HAS TO BE UNSCREWED TO GAIN ACCESS. VERY INCONVENIENT. I CLEANED IT AND THE UNIT IS OPERATING BUT THE YELLOW LIGHT REMAINS LIT. I HAVE TO PLACE A SUPPORT CALL TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE YELLOW "CLEAN FILTER" LIGHT TO TURN OFF. WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS UNIT. WE JUST WANTED AN AIR CONDITIOINER AND IT SEEMS IT'S AIR CLEAN FEATURE KIND OF TAKES OVER THE OPERATION. WE HAVE MANY PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS AND THEY DONT HAVE COMPLICATED FILTERS THAT NEED TO BE CLEANED WEEKLY AND A SCREW DRIVER TO GET ACCESS. POOR DESIGN ANDF TRYING TO TAKE ON TOO MANY FUNCTIONS FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER IF THAT'S MAINLY WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

Make sure you register this for the 1 year warranty! I am on my 2nd one and they DO NOT LAST!! 11 months max on this. The 1st one the condenser stopped running, now on my 2nd (replacement) one just decide to not keep cold and now forms ice every time I try to use it. Now it's hot & humid in my bedroom, and I have wait to be approved for another one under warranty which will take at least another week! We love to sleep in a cold room, and it just dies before we can finish a season of heat & humidity.

This portable air conditioner is the best. Not just because it can cool down the place but the convenience of the remote and the Frigidaire app that I can use to not only turn on and off but other features such as air purifier and sleep mode. I'm very satisfied with my choice and will look to purchasing other Frigidaire products in the future. They aren't just the best for kitchen appliances!!!

I moved into an apartment and was nervous about leaving more central air conditioning behind. After much research, I picked this one and haven't looked back. I am so happy I have this air-conditioner; it's 10 times better than my central air. It is not only extremely efficient but also simple to operate. I recommend everyone add one or more to their homes and join me in a cooling paradise!!!

I especially like the more compact size of this unit. The remote is good, and I appreciate the controls on top which are very easy to see and adjust. I put this in a loft bedroom and it cools it very efficiently, and I was surprised to see that it was actually able to cool the downstairs area too our recent lengthy heat wave. I've had several similar ACs over the years, but this one is my favorite.

I love that this portable air conditioner is on wheels! I also love its connectivity capabilities!! I can turn on or off through the app on my phone, including child lock feature!! The device alerts you when you need to drain the reservoir for the dehumidifier and air conditioning mode. Which does not happen often. The new machines are incredibly built!

This is our 2nd Frigidaire Portable AC with 12,000 BTU. We called it the midsized one. We already have a bigsize one, 14,000 BTU. It has all the good things as the 1st one: installed easily, set-up easily, cooling quickly, WIFI controll conveniently, working greatly. Overall, good quality.

[Rewarded Review] Not an Icebox

It is quiet and sleek. It definitely cools down my space of 350 sq feet but with the help of two fans to help push the air around. I am on a 2nd floor apt in SoCal where the heat is dry and I need to turn on the AC before it gets too hot. It does cool the place down to an extent but it does not work as well as a window unit. Unfortunately my building prohibited window units. If you have a room of 300+ square feet, size up. I would want to return the unit and try the bigger one but the cost is too high, plus the 10% restocking fee and the hassel of taking it to UPS.

Bought this to help cool my 700 square foot garage, especially the section I work out in. I didn't expect too much, but it certainly outperformed my expectations! Now my workouts are much cooler. While it will not cool the entire 3 car garage, it definitely keeps my workout area much cooler.

Plain and simply the best portable AC unit I’ve ever owned. I live in LA and we don’t have central air, and get tons of sunlight, so our apt will get upwards to 90 degrees internal. Within 1-2 hours my bedroom is absolutely freezing and helps me sleep. It’s incredibly tech friendly too. I downloaded the Frigidaire app and linked it to my Wi-Fi. I can actually set tasks through the app and turn it on an hour before i get home, and have it shut off in the middle of the night when i get too cold lol. I just received my device so it is brand new. It is making a weird noise from the back side so I might have that checked out, otherwise totally happy with it.
