[Rewarded Review] Worth every penny!

Hottest summer in a long time and my electric bill went down! We were very comfortable and never got the afternoon heatwave like with our previous A/C's. This one is also very quiet and you could almost never hear it but you could definitely feel it. Fits great in our window and is very secure with the housing it comes with. So glad we upgraded to this A/C.

Replaced the LG LW1215ER with this LG LW1222IVSM. After 3 months of usage, this replacement does not cool as well as my previous LG. Low setting may be quiet, but not much cooling. Medium setting is equivalent to the old ac's low setting. Did LG change the cooling agent to their new a/c?

Delivered a mile from my house on someone's wooded vacant lot. I had to load this 96lb beast into my car to get it home. Got it out, installed, plugged it in and NOTHING! The piece of crap doesn't even light up a light. Lowe's is not helpful at returns at all. Had to uninstall, deliver to store an hour away. Drove 2 hours to a store that had 10 units in stock of my next choice. Got there and they had ZERO! 100 degress, 6 hours of work and driving and still no AC. I spend $20000 a year at Lowe's. Not anymore

Very happy I purchased a second unit for my house! I purchased my first 2 years ago. Both do a fantastic job at cooling and conserving power! I’m able to monitor power consumption on the LG ThinQ app while also checking diagnostics. Icing on the cake is being able to control my units from anywhere through the app! The savings on power consumption make the higher price tag worth it! The units are definitely quieter than normal window units. I’m already considering a third to replace my old window unit after monitoring its power consumption compared to the two dual inverter units combined after just one day!

Store policy for returning no good

Air conditioner fit into my wall and didn’t need much alteration to the inside or outside of my home (store policy for return not good I brought an air conditioner support for the unit. I didn’t need another one though the one I had was able to be used. When I brought the piece back I was told I could not return it because of the thirty day return policy, it was in opened and my contractor took time to install my new unit. Very disappointed in Lowe’s be careful buying a unit from them.

Loud, annoying compressor sound

I’m not sure where everyone is coming off saying this is whisper quiet. There are definitely louder units out there, but the price gap is pretty big on this one. Also, the type of compressor noise it makes I find really jarring, like a high pitched whirling whine. I was really hoping this was going to be similar to LG mini split compressors I’ve seen, but it is significantly louder.

Years of window unit experience!

I bought one of these units last summer and liked it enough to purchase another one. The pros of this unit are; light weight unit, motor gradually works it way up to full speed and gradually works it's way back down. Best of all NO SHAKING WINDOWS!! I researched all window units last year and did the same with this years new units. This is the best as far as I'm concerned and NO ONE could beat Wal Mart pricing!

At the house have air and central heat. Decided to get this ac unit from LG. Energy efficient and very quiet. Best AC window unit. The app Thinq app works awesome. You can use iPhone as the remote. Also the app tells you when to clean filter. Can run diagnostics. Tells how much energy and how much it will cost on your energy bill. It is March leaving it on save energy and it is costing me less than $.40 a day right now. This unit is quiet. Been buying appliances from Best Buy. Great prices. Great warranties.

My gound based ac unit was not working in 110 degree weather here in arizona. I keep this new one on 76-77 degrees and the thermometer on the wall 16-17 feet away says 78 degrees even at the hottest part of the day. I had the snap clip for the control panel come loose and it quit. Called LG customer service with the CH02 error code and they had me unconnect and reconnect the connection for the controls and it was up and running smoothly. Been days and no more problem. Thank You LG for the quick and precise customer service!

Room is only 500 sqft, but A/C struggles to cool it. The space is well insulated with energy efficient windows and doors. On a 90 degree day, I set the thermostat at 75 degrees (from 80 at night set via the mobile app) and the unit runs for 2 hours just to satisfy the 75 degrees. A check of a personal indoor/outdoor weather station shows the room temperature is actually 78 degrees.

whisper quiet- great value!

Had to replace my Friedrich that I only bought in June 2020- had to replace refrigerant twice and very loud-so disappointed in Friedrich! This LG is great. Incredibly quiet, ice cold, sleek looking and over $100 cheaper than the friedrich piece of crap. I highly recommend. Just installed today, but I happy with my purchase. I have an LG washer & dryer as well. It's a good brand.

[Rewarded Review] Cool and quiet

I bought to cool a room that is about 600sq ft and always hottest room when whole-house AC is on. I installed this on a horizontal sliding window on a second floor, and had to buy a window AC support bracket which no longer is being sold from Best Buy.

Very powerful AC. Barely above a whisper unless full speed at cold setting. Built well but with caveats. One, the plastic tab that is inserted into the cabinet for the sliding mechanism? Not a very good design. Cheap plastic that was incredibly difficult to insert. Also, doesn't make sense to me why you have to remove the AC from its cabinet in the first place? Just design everything all inclusive. Adds to a large possibility of breaking a valuable internal component rendering it useless. For a 12000 btu ac it's big. Barely fit in a regularly sized window.
