Easy Installation

Watched the video and was easy to install.

Does the job for a great price and install went very well considering we were replacing a very old keypad deadbolt that no longer worked. Only issue was it is half the size of the old one so we had to paint and try to cover markings and screw holes left from the old one. This new one does not require screwing into the door everything passes through the hole.

I keep having to reset the passcode even though the batteries are brand new. So frustrated with this purchase. This is the second KwikSet I’ve had…different model and I’ve hated both of them.

Easy to install and program code

Good installation directions, relatively quick and easy install, keyless entry (keypad) is convenient... **This lock doesn't have the Kwikset easy re-key feature**. You may want to consider the easy re-key feature - it's really handy - available on the Kwikset 250 and above.

Perfect choice!

I needed to replace my Kwickset Powerbolt 2, which I used for many years, but found that they didn't make that model any more. So I selected the Powerbolt 240 instead. I ordered it last night and it arrived this morning (free shipping!). I found that it is a perfect match for my old version, and easily bolted right into place. The directions and drawings are very clear and simple. Perfect choice.

Awesome Product and Support (If needed)

I bought the older version Powerbolt2 keypad lock. Absolutely the best value and very high quality product. The batteries lasted for almost 3 years and when I had to replace, I had a question and called the support number listed on their website (yes, it was actually easy to find). The person that helped me was awesome and I got all my questions answered clearly and quickly. I will never buy another brand. Thanks Kwikset!!

These looked nice but we were not expecting how cheap the back side (the part for the inside of the door) was. The whole thing was made of a cheapy feeling plastic. It didn't seem like these would hold up long term so we didn't install and returned.

This is a very nice and inexpensive electric lock. It is easy to install and operate.

PLEASE NOTICE: This key lock is not easy change.

I like using a keypad to unlock the door. Buying THIS lock was a mistake. Twenty dollars more to have easy rekey would have been worth it.

Easy install, smooth bolt action and keypad works well. Unfortunate this doesn't have a Kwikset SmartKey option, so I'll have to adjust my other locks instead.

Purchased as a gift still waiting on friend to close on new home. I have not opened the box yet

Very easy to install with follow along video. Quick. Love the ease of not having to find a key to open/close my door.
