I was super excited to get this dryer because we were looking for something more energy efficient plus wanted the ability to close out the vent outside, this does both. I love the large capacity and it definitely does well with large loads. I have had no issue of loads of laundry not being dry after the cycle is over. The settings are self explanatory and easy to differentiate between them. The cleaning and water emptying is easy , though a new thing to get used to. I also really enjoy how this connects to the smartthings app, We have two other appliances connected so I enjoy that this can be added seamlessly. So far very happy with this.

My prior dryer was from 1999 -- 25 years and still going, with only one or two repairs I did along the way. But we've been on a mission to use less energy: from hybrid water heaters, to higher efficiency AC among others.. Of the biggest items left, our windows and the clothes dryer were left on the list to tackle. When this dryer came into view, I couldn't wait to try it out!

The dryer is plenty big, and very quiet. I really like the ventless design, so I can get rid of the dirty and leaky hole in my wall of laundry room where the vent came out. Always having to make sure it's clean, and it let in cold air during the winter. Now I can plug it up and prevent any outside air from infiltrating. The app is amazing, and synced right up without a problem with Samsung SmartThings which I use for several other appliances/sound bars/TVs. It's a bit strange needing to empty the water tank, which is how it's ventless. Heat pumps are much more efficient than traditional heating elements, so I will be saving money on electricity. It does take longer to dry than my old dryer, but it's still sufficient for our needs. Size slotted right into the old spot. I have never been disappointed in Samsung quality and innovation with technology. Very happy to have this appliance in my home.

The first thing that caught my eye in the literature about this dryer, was that it employed heat-pump technology for energy efficiency, AND it is vent-free, meaning no longer will I be paying today's high utility rates to heat air and then promptly blow that air out the dryer vent hoping to make the birds more comfortable! Together up to 50% can be saved on energy costs alone! Beyond these stellar features, the dryer itself is well thought out and full of features. For those addicted to their phones, it is a smart product, so one can schedule or change what is happening to the load remotely from a smart device. For me, it seems far more likely for me to use when I forget to add something to the menu and recall my failing when away from home, (the old did I forget to turn off the oven thing!) There's a self-dry cycle which is for drying the dryer drum itself to make sure it remains fresh smelling forever. Use Sensor Dry to have the sensor determine optimum dryness for your load to prevent over-drying which just wastes money and can damage clothes! There are a number of load specific settings, like Active-wear, Towels, Bedding, Heavy Duty, Permanent Press, Delicates, Normal and Sanitize which is nice to have in the Covid era. I like haven been given the option of setting the dryness level of the load for 4 different levels allowing for the pulling of certain articles that require hanging or lying flat to maximize their appearance. There's an audible damp alert which sounds when the desired setting is reached allowing for those articles to be pulled and if appropriate to the load, setting the balance of the load for continued drying. One can also mute the audible alarms if someone is napping. And the wrinkle prevent and air fluff features allow for a proper finish, or a refresh to your clothes when needed The drum light can be engaged manually and will not burn out prematurely as it turns itself off after 2 minutes. For safety and efficiency there is a Lint Filter indicator that tells you when it needs cleaning. The only thing this machine doesn't do is load the clothes and fold them when they're done. Two thumbs up for me!

This dryer really gets the job done. Easy to use I like that it is Ventless and I don't have to worry about cleaning out vents. The 360 Air Flow even makes my towels softer. I like the automatic dry sensor. The smart things app lets me know when the clothes are dry, with a quick reminder to my phone. Have I mentioned my wife hates wrinkled clothes. The reversible dryer door was a great plus as our connections are backwards and we can now use the door correctly.

This is my first ventless dryer. After doing some research the first couple of dryer reviews left me wondering. They always say that close still come out damp. Happy to say, their dryer gets it done. One or two adjustments on the front and it will get your clothes dry. Now I can put the dryer in my preferred location without cutting out a hole to the outside of the house. I have used the SmartThings app for other devices but I have to say that the dryer hooks up to the Wi-Fi seamlessly and the smart things app has plenty of functionality including but not limited to letting me know when the dryer is done on my phone. It also has a reversible door which I have not tested yet but seems like it would come in handy depending on where I relocated in the basement. It does have options for everything you would normally dry. The sense dry seems to work well with towels as well. Had a bunch of towels dried no issues. Hopefully this dryer lasts a long time without any issues. Seems durable.

This dryer setup was a breeze with not having to deal with running the vent. we had no problem getting running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app and downloading new settings. There are a lot of different cycles to accommodate any type of material you are trying to dry, like for Bedding, Activewear, Towels and Air fluff as well as normal and Downloaded setting that you can download through the SmartThings app. The reversable door is a nice feature so you don’t have to lean over the door to put clothes into the dryer or when they are stacked the doors are on the same side.

Our new dryer has definitely gone above and beyond what we expected it to be! We absolutely know that any Samsung electronic that we have purchased or home appliance in the past has been amazing but amazing is an understatement with how much this dryer has actually changed my entire laundry routine and the time I am saving!! Being able to connect it to my smart device is a new level of peace! Knowing that I can shut it off without having to turn around and manually shut it off is a blessing! And knowing that I won’t ever have to restart a load of clothes due to them, not being completely dry is definitely a thing of the past and just one of the many things I love about this dryer!! I could not be more pleased with this Samsung product that has come through like all the previous appliances that I’ve got from Samsung!! My king size, comforter, sheets and pillowcases, fit without me, having to stuff it in and constantly turn it over to dry with just one single setting and drying cycle that alone had been an absolute humongous change of how long gets done here in my household! I have two children, so we have a lot of accidents and it is very time-consuming when you have to take clothes out unfold them and re-put them back into a dryer just to get the other side dry but not with this dryer it does the job the first time without any hassle or reloading the dryer again and again!! I’m not sure I could fit two king-size comforters in there if I wanted to that’s how big the actual drum is on the inside and I can’t begin to tell you how nice it looks! We are over the moon with this product! I honestly didn’t even know a dryer could be ventless but now I do and I’m so happy we were able to finally close up the whole going out of my home from where our other dryer was!! Samsung’s technology is above and beyond with any product I’ve ever bought from them and I can definitely say I am a customer for life. They never disappoint and I couldn’t be more satisfied!!!!

These are the best Washer/Dryer set I've ever used. Excellent functionality! A lot of settings, also they don't waste electricity nor water. I love them now I can wash and dry all my bed covers at home don't have to deal with going out to a laundromat. I was a bit skeptical because of that issue Samsung had a couple of years ago but I have absolutely " NO REGRETS" I would recommend these even to my worse enemy. Stay safe out there! BE KIND! I like this dryer. It’s quiet compared to my old dryer and has a large capacity that cuts down the time we spend doing laundry. I also like the fact that I no longer have to deal with vent cleaning once a year, and the laundry room looks neater without the vent pipe. The Samsung app makes it easy to monitor the drying cycle and provides handy maintenance tips to keep the dryer running efficiently. I am curious about the potential energy savings of this dryer versus my old one. The app provides an approximate cost of how much electricity it consumes. So far, I’m pleased with this purchase.

We live in a duplex and our washer and dryer are in the center of the house so we have roughly a 30 foot vent tube from our dryer to the outside. It’s a hassle to keep clean and very difficult to do since its so long. As soon as I heard about these heat pump dryers I just had to give one a try! These are definitely very sophisticated systems, but it works very well! At first I was skeptical that it would double my drying time and things like that. But I was definitely proven wrong! Installation is a breeze, you hook up the power cable, run a drain tube (optional) and you are pretty much good to go! Just make sure you have the drain line running out of the right hose or you will have quite a wet mess on your floor (as we found out). The operation is just as simple and easy as any regular dryer. There are many different settings from normal, to bedding, to towels and things like that. I found that with everything except towels this dryer works just as fast or faster as a regular dryer. Towels used to take a little over an hour to dry in our old dryer, in this one it takes about an hour and a half or maybe a little longer. That’s totally fine with me if I save money on energy costs and don’t have to clean out a 30 foot tube filled with dryer lint twice a year! There is a little bit more maintenance you have to do on this compared to a standard dryer. The lint trap is a little more complicated (and I’m not sure why) There is an outer and inner filter that has to be cleaned. You also need to vacuum out the coils maybe once a month or so (which onlt takes a couple minutes) There is also a slide out water tank that you have to empty after every couple loads (unless you have a drain line hooked up).

As a household who does a LOT of laundry, we were looking to get something that was a little more cost effective and safe in our home. We have a very long vent for our current dryer and it was a real pain to keep clean. Usually we would have to clean it 2-3 times a year. With this new dryer, we will never have to do that again! Setup was a breeze, we had no problem getting it up and running and connected to the Samsung Smart Things app. Its awesome to get notifications when a cycle is done cause we are all very busy and sometimes forget that we had put a load of laundry in. The operation was pretty much the same as any dryer. There are different cycles for towels and bedding and a normal setting and things like that. I found that it performed just as good as a regular dryer in terms of the time it takes to dry things. I would say except for towels it dried just as fast or faster than a regular dryer. Towels did take a little bit longer. There is a little more maintenance as far as emptying the water tank and cleaning the lint trap and heat pump vent but that takes a very short amount of time and you don't have to do it very often. Its definitely much easier than trying to clean out a 30 foot vent pipe! Overall, we are very happy with our new dryer and highly recommend it!

Not reliable at all

My partner and I bought this June 24. The dryer has broke twice in 4 months. Samsung Customer service is alright but there is no reason why a brand new dryer should break 2 times in 4 months. It took forever (2-3weeks) to get a tech out here the first time.

This is a really nice Ventless Dryer with a lot of drying settings to accommodate any type of material you are trying to dry, like delicate, wool, steam to prevent wrinkles, ect.. my personal favorite is the towel setting it helps the towels come out nice fluffy and soft.
