love it

First electric kettle and I'm never going back! Husband had to cut out coffee for health reasons and so we've switched our brewing setup. This has been so wonderful. I especially love the hold-temperature function because it heats fast and keeps the water just right even if I get interrupted helping little kiddos!

Dogs don't like indicator sound!

We are unable to use this in our home, unfortunately. While it is a nice kettle, and heats up the water quickly, the indicator beeps drive our two dogs nuts. I contacted their customer service department and asked if the sound can be turned off, and was told "unfortunately, no." It beeps when you turn it on, beeps when you select your temp level, when you add the warming button, and when the kettle is turning off. Also when you plug it in. Each time our dogs would hear the beeping sound, they would start crying, run out of the room, and hide under the bed. Not all the appliances that beep in our house cause them to react this way, so it must be the tone or pitch (or both) that they don't like. If you have dogs, this may not be the kettle for you. Otherwise, it's a fine appliance.

Excellent addition to my breville collection.

This is my first electric kettle. Don't know what took me so long to try one as it is everything it was described to be. Very functional and worth the expense to get a Breville.

Excellent Product. Heats Very Quickly and so Quiet! Nice tinkle notification when done heating. LOVE the preset temp choices!!

Breville kettle-Broke within 2 years

Great product, worked well, looked great, with low to moderate use - lasted less than 2 years. Breville / W&S - did not stand behind product - Short warranty for high-end device to basically boil water.

Bought this for our static caravan my better half likes it so much we purchased one for our home. Brill machine and great that you don’t have different temperature to heat the water.

Loved it…and then not so much

I bought the Breville electric kettle BKE845 with gift cards I saved for two years from Williams Sonoma. Loved it at first but after about four months, the plastic lid cracked. I never let it boil without water and was very careful with the carafe. I would not recommend this product.

Terrific bit of kit for the serious home barista

It is just a relief and delight to add this kettle to my range of Sage kitchen appliances. As someone that takes making drinks a bit too seriously, it is great to have accurate temperature control. All this and Terrific ergonomics. If only all kit was this well designed and implemented.

30 days of Wonderful

I've been using my Variable-Temperature Kettle (daily) for exactly 30 days. I love it. It is fabulous. However, it's only been 30 days. I cannot review the longevity of this item. When it comes to appliances, large or small, longevity is key. I am treating this item carefully and doing all of the recommended care. I hope it's still great after a year, three years and five years. So with only 30 days of use, I give it 3 stars. Time will tell.
