I've had this cooktop for about two weeks. I like the flexibility of the size and temperature of the heating elements. I also like the layout of the controls and that they are mechanical. I bought this because of its size; I had an existing hole in a Corian countertop. Unfortunately the advertised depth was 21 inches but the actual depth was 20 3/8 inches causing a gap. The GE website also gave 21 inches as the depth.

[Rewarded Review] cheap didn’t even last a year

Almost had this for 10 months and it cracked while boiling water under normal use on the front burner. Am now being told by GE service that it’s not covered under warranty and accused me of dropping something on it. I have no reason to lie. This is cheaply made if it cannot handle normal wear and tear. Well I am a mom to a large family and cook all day everyday but still it should not have cracked the way it did. I wouldn’t buy this again. I may not buy a GE again after my experience with their service technicians.

Large cooktop! Plenty of space to work.

Love our new cooktop! Plenty of eyes and space to cook. Looks great in our newly renovated kitchen.

This stovetop have 5 burners .

I was worried about purchasing a glass top stove for fear it would be easy to break and hard to keep clean. What a surprise. This GE Stovetop is great and fast cooking. I love it.

did not fit in hole from whirlpool top, hole was too big and had to make a filler. Surface marked after first use and does not clean easy. Marking for the controls are difficult to see.

It doesn't work

You sold me junk that I've been working on since I purchased it. It has never worked right. 3 of the burners are out. Don't buy anything from this place!

Works very well - One major design flaw.

The stovetop works very well. It's great in many ways. I did have to hire an electrician to wire it to a 220 line so bear that in mind before purchasing.

We needed an electrician to install a 220 amp line and hook it up. The stovetop works very well.

Great Features

This cooktop is wonderful. We had another GE Cooktop (older) but the newer ones have the great feature of larger knobs that are attractive and beautiful chrome edges.

Nice looking replacement to old Frigidaire cooktop

Great cooktop. Heats quickly and the power boil burner is nice to have when needed. Also like the melt option and keep warm options on two burners. Much, much nicer than the old Frigidaire cooktop.

Top quality!

After much delay, we are finally able to use our long awaited cooktop. It is everything we have anticipated. All the burner choices make cooking a breeze.Easy to use, easy to clean!! Easy to connect to your phone. We loved our GE oven and couldn’t wait to use our cooktop.Top notch in every way!

We bought this hob with a double oven. Both work really well and provide excellent usability. We recommend it.

Great model and burner placement

Love to place ment of burners and option of rapid boil. Hubby dislikes knobs placement because I f cleaning - I do not mind at all.

Handsome, well designed cooktop

This is my first ceramic cooktop, though I have experience using one at my son's house. Our 30-year old ring-burner cooktop finally needed to be replaced, and we settled on this GE model because of its features and good reviews. We are not disappointed. It makes a beautiful appearance in the kitchen. The control knobs are easy to grab, have nice hand feel (that does make a difference when you do a lot of cooking). And we do cook a lot, so appreciate the responsive burners. The cooktop does retain heat for some time, so you need to plan temperature changes in the cooking in advance; that will take some getting used to, but after several weeks I'm already getting the hang of it. Layout is well designed, it cuts a slim profile and looks very attractive on the kitchen counter. This model probably was once in GE's higher end "Profile" series: although there is no Profile mark on the stove or in on-line descriptions, the specs of burners and cooktop layout are identical to Profile models (except see my point #3 below), and the printed literature that came with this cooktop is all labeled Profile.

Bad Cooktop

This cooktop is impossible to set and hold a temperature, it just keeps getting hotter! It is also impossible to clean, the knobs are in the way and it scratches easlily. There is nothing good about this cooktop!

Excellent product. Easy to install, works great and no problems so far. Replaced another GE with touch pad controls because of eyesight issues.

Nice Product

Only Had Product for a few weeks but seems be fine. easy to clean, heats up pretty fast. Like the lock out feature and quick boil option. The three ring burner is awesome.

Almost exactly like the cooktop I just replaced.

I like it fine but we have had a couple of problems with it, which has been a real hassle to go through the manufacturers warranty. Communication is so hard. I set down at Lowe’s for two hours while staff members got on the phone and tried to communicate with the manufacturer.

Great Cooktop

We love our new glass cooktop. So far, keeping it clean has not been an issue. We are careful not to slide our pans over the glass. We like the different size and strengths of the various burners.
