[Rewarded Review] Very disappointing.

Purchased on line because not available in store. Product is extremely noisy. Sounds like a running truck motor. Cooling is so-so. Has styrofoam INSIDE the unit. For what reason???? I have a 35 year old Panasonic which I am still using in my bedroom and that unit is very quiet. Chose Amana to replace my old living room unit because it is a well-known name in appliances. Would not purchase another one nor would I suggest anyone purchase it for a bedroom because of the noise factor.

[Rewarded Review] Disappointed

I am disappointed in the noise level of this Amana- we got it for the bedroom and compared to our 40 year old Panasonic which still ran like a top, this sounds like a car engine running in our bedroom. We use earplugs. The remote is not very sophisticated either/symbols are not apparent, not all functions work from the remote.

Could cool better

It pulls the moisture out of the appatment of less than 275 sq feet but it does not cool as i thought it would. But it allows me to sleep at night.

Box arrived with the front corner bashed in and taped together. Diagonally opposite corner also damaged. We returned it to the store for credit. We don't know how the unit cools because we never set it up.

Will purchase again

The air conditioner is in the window works great love it will recommend thanks again.

A quieter a/c, can hear the tv a pretty normal sound level. Cools and dehumidifies tbe space well. Very pleased with this product. Had to install inside wall sleeve, not a window. Comes with additional foam for adjustable sides to help keep the heat out.

Worked As AC a month. Now a fan

It is still under factory warranty and I am hoping this failure to do its job will be resolved. I should have just gone with the brand of my other two window acs. I have had no problem with them. I purchased it on line and hoping this will get resolved with XLS Products. In the meantime, I am very unhappy with this product.

Performs to my needs, does well. I thought it was made in Houston, because Google says Amanas are made there, but this comes from Indonesia. Kind of misleading. Make it known in the specs, Lowe's.

My old AC died a slow death last summer and started to run cool, if that, so I knew I had to purchase a new AC with the hot weather just upon us.

Decent.

Works pretty well. Noisier than advertised. One of the vents has a chip in the plastic so it rattles like a dying cobra unless I flick it back into place. Too expensive for what it was but I didn't have a lot of options.

I have told alot of my friends about this window unit
