So far so good 18k BTU

18,000 BTU air con with 12,000 BTU heater. Very easy to install in an old window frame circa 1920. Powerful and cools a small room quickly. So far so good after 1 week. Keeps the kitchen warm.

seems like a strong unit. doing well and easy install. Be sure to measure the unit and not rely on the packaging for the dimensions. Packaging is not correct or exact.

[Rewarded Review] Very unhappy

I got this air conditioner less than two months ago when I first had it put in was it happy with how it cooled says it cools up to 1000 square-foot I have central air had my carport and closed so the central air did not cool it so I got this one unit and that’s all it called. Was this one room that probably wasn’t but less than 400 square-foot . Here it is less than two months later and I’m gonna have to take it back because now it’s not hardly cooling at all that one room

The installation process was very easy and so far, it is working well. It is in a 600 SF garage apartment and is cooling it off well. It has just been in about a week but I am in Texas and we are still having some upped 90's and 100 degree temperatures. The rotating vent fins seem to help spread the coolness around the room.

Piece of junk

I just paid someone to install this beast. It's making LOD intermittent humming noise and not blowing cold air. Now I have to pay to have it removed and lug this heavy machine back to the store for a refund. They have nothing compatible in stock. I'm going to have to wait another 4 days for a different AC I'm ordering. What a big hassle and it's summertime in Florida!

Unit arrived with broken louvers. The Auto Swing also does not work. Trying to get LG to come and out repair has been a nightmare. Don't buy anything from LG. They originally sent the tech out to the wrong address. I have had to call 7 or 8 times to LG each time having to explain again what the problems are etc. I have also called Home Depot several times without success. Home Depot wants me to bring the unit back to the store. It's super heavy and already installed. DON"T BUY LG and expect any service.

BEWARE

This unit stopped working less than 30 days after being installed. It was more than 30 days after the purchase so I had to deal directly with LG. They cannot work on this unit because of the type of coolant so it was approved for an exchange (on 5/30/24) to be contacted within 7 business days. Still waiting 7/4/24! Their customer service is weak. They seem to only be able to escalate/elevate 1 way regardless of the outcome. It has escalated dozens of times, including their Presidential Liaison team, but no one seems to be able to do anything!

We love the performance of this. The only thing that is not perfect is the lower left front panel does NOT stay snapped like the right side does. We only found this out after installation and putting the front panel on. It bugs me but I’m not going to take it back after having to install it in the window.

Cools fine, heater is worthless

This is the unit that was installed in our newly constructed sunroom (12’x20’) 18 months ago during the summer. It cools fine, but the heater doesn’t heat at all - just blows out air. I have had to use a portable heater during the winter to have any heat at all. Even with it running all night, I had plants that froze during really cold nights. My thermometer is showing 39 degrees this morning, and it ran with a heat setting of 76 all night. So, so disappointed in this product.

17mo old unit…. Dangerously malfunctioning

We bought this unit 17mo ago. First summer everything went great…. At 13mo old started having issues with it freezing up. I keep the unit clean & clean the filter every two weeks. If I turn it on Cool, it freezes solid… compressor won’t kick off until it’s unplugged. Last week I turned on the heater, I awoke to a weird noise & the whole unit was hot to the touch. But the compressor kicked on IN HEAT MODE! Freezing up the front & choking off the airflow. I unplugged the unit & am seeking a refund

Not as advertised

My review is based off the lack of “Alexa” capability. Yes, you can change temperatures, modes (heat or A/C), but, when you go to “Energy Saver” mode, nothing can be done via Alexa commands. So ENERGY SAVING routines cant be used. STUPID. I would say this is false advertisment. The heat

Utter Garbage

I purchased this unit for my 240sf man cave in the back room of my garage. It did not cool at all. It only blew humid air and never got the room below 80 degrees, even at night. I had previously purchased the smaller version of this unit, which did the exact same thing. I returned it to Home Depot in hopes that I had ended up with a defective model and a new one would work as advertised. I downloaded the LG App, ran the diagnostics and everything checked out fine. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

It was an excellent replacement for our old unit. The remote is a good feature. It is powerful. The handyman installed it in no time. It did take two people to move it into the room. Unpack it outside. The box is so big it makes you think you ordered wrong. Lol

LG stands for Looking Good

So far, so good for me. Since my space is only about 450 square ft tops it is operating spectacularly. I like the remote, too. Last Frigidaire unit I had sounded like the car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But this LG is super quiet. The Auto Swing feature allows the air to circulate from side-to-side which is a good benefit. It is way more comfortable in my studio now. The white color adds elegance to my apartment.

No Service Repair

Update from my other review. Bought this unit brand new, after install compressor would not kick on. Called LG April 14th for service got a call 2 days later from a repair company to tell me they don't work on ac's . I'm South of New Orleans . April 25th, LG still can't find anyone to check the ac out ,they asked me to find someone, last straw. I'm disabled, so far the unit cost $120 install,$20 remove, gas to return to Houma store. Will cost again to install won't be LG product without service!

This might be a good product. Nice cold air, and heat option too! I thought it would solve some problems. And maybe in a year I'll know. But I don't recommend LG customer service or warranty.

The LT Electronics 18000 BTU Window Unit with Cool, Heat...

The LT Electronics 18000 BTU Window Unit with Cool, Heat and WiFi control is exactly what I needed. It replaced a smaller unit that was a little undersized in my view based on square footage of space. This unit knocks it out of the park in both cooling and heating the space. The WiFi is also a cool feature allowing remote access using a phone. Easy to install and put together well.
