Disappointed

The toilet is beautiful. Unfortunately the tank lid had a piece broken and there was a fracture line across the top. I informed Kohler with pictures but I still have not received a replacement.

Broken

Ordered from Kohler, sent 3 broken toilets. No packing in the boxes at all. Had to get a refund and bought at Lowes.

It’s a statement piece in the bathroom. Beautiful.

Delivered Broken

No idea how well it works. It was delivered by Home Depot's shipper in a damaged box and the tank was cracked. Home Depot gave me a song and dance...have to arrange with shipper to have it picked up...3-5 days to get my refund AFTER the shipper picks it up. Its currently sitting on the sidewalk because Depot will only do curbside delivery. It weighs 150 lbs. and I refuse to move it. Bottom line - use Depot only when you need a box of nails and make sure to pick it up yourself.

More money but well worth it!

Beautiful look and feel, love the comfort height and no stains! WE live in a rural area with a lot of minerals in the water! Excellent choice

The toilet is great! I picked this toilet for two reasons: 1: it is one piece so it is easier to clean and keep clean, and 2: it has a crown Moulding design at the bottom and tank edge area which compliments the ceiling crown Moulding so the whole powder room look is outstanding.

Great toilet until the flush gasket failed

This toilet was installed by the previous owner of our house. Everything was great until the flush gasket in the tank needed replacement (4 yrs from the manufacture date stamp in the toilet). I have always handled repairs like this myself. Usually it's cheap, fast and simple. Like any Kohler aquapiston toilet, replacing this gasket requires a lot of physical effort to seat the gasket and lock the piston assembly in place. But on this particular model... there's not enough clearance behind the bottom tank opening to properly seat the base of the aquapiston assembly itself, it hits against the back wall. I had to grind down the flange on the assembly until that piece would even position properly. THEN deal with putting the gasket back in, which involves using lots and lots of compression force, while twisting the assembly base. It's was so awkward I created my own 'tool' (as other have written about) with a short piece of 4x4 lumber with another piece of wood on top to get enough downward force and then sideways torque to everything locked in. And for reference I'm a grown male with strong hands and shoulders. The aquapiston itself isn't a bad concept, I can't think of a reason why the design has to be such a nightmare in terms of simple maintenance. This shouldn't be an issue on any basic toilet, let alone a top-shelf kind of model like this. I cannot recommend this toilet based on this experience. I would look at other Kohler aquapiston models but I'm going to take a very close look inside the tank.

Beautiful and comfortable toilet that finally flushes well.

In the past, I had pulled a toilet to replace the gasket between the tank and the bowl. I had turned off the water, and left the toilet for the nigh. The stop valve leaked, and water damaged the floor and the ceiling below. This beautiful toilet COVERED my mistake on the floor. It looks quite nice, and is at comfort level. It flushes MUCH better than our old water consuming toilet (that our dog dropped a ball into it, and I could NOT get it out). Roto-Rooter came out for $500, and told me the problem was in the the toilet trap. This toilet was not inexpensive, but Kohler's support from Jennifer was absolutely amazing. I have the color and the fit of the toilet we needed. The plumber thought it was very nice (my wife would not allow me to install).
