I'd buy it again.

I'm amazed at how quiet it is. I honestly didn't even know that it is a heater as well. I didn't try the heat but I would totally buy this again. I used it for several months. I hate the noisy regular window units so i don't run them much but this one i run more because of how quite it is.

Best Window AC Unit

This is the best window ac that I’ve come across. The installation was easy and it works like a dream! I definitely recommend!

Quiet and cool!

So quiet and effective. I have two of these. Cools the house without bogging down.

This kept my downstairs (Colonial) cool. Easy to install except my window was larger than the AC with the extenders. Had to add cardboard and bugs goin in the house. Wish they would sell bigger extenders

Always something

I purchased this in April and it was delivered May 2 and as of today (11-03)it broke down. Now I'm having issues trying to get a hold of Allstate and file a claim because I took out a three-year protection plan on it. I won't do this again. Best ac window unit that cools a room fast!

This is the best ac by far that truly cools my bedroom within 5 minutes and it is very quiet as well, love this product!

"After researching on the net, Midea had the best customer service and reliability for the **** ""U"" shaped window AC. Bought from Walmart because I know I can deal with them locally if I have a problem. I learned the hard way that when you buy a large item "" in my case a Preassure Washer"" Amazon will not take a return. They tell you to deal with the manufacture. It took months before I had a operational item that I had to fix myself."

Much quieter!

Much quieter unit than my old one, and allows more light in through the window in a dark back bedroom.

MOLD!!!

We live in the desert and it runs all the time and we all started getting sick. After noticing a decrease in airflow even with clean filter, I took a look with a flashlight and the fan was covered in mold!!!

Still waiting on installer so don’t know how good it will be. Probably wait to spring now do I can get a whole good year not many days of test left now.

Dispense lots of water and design flaw

The unit dispenses a lot of water from the secondary drainage hole like water coming out of a faucet. The hole is also positioned above one of the support arms so the water hits the arm and splashes everywhere. I have to put a drip pan to catch the water. It is cumbersome to have to empty the pan periodically. I live in a condo and can't have water doing down to my neighbors below me. I also need to install something to protect my exterior wall from the splashes.

Waste of time and money

Barely worked for 2months. I had ordered 2 at the same time. Thought it was just a bad unit. Put in the second and it lasted 1 month. A terrible product.

Runs reliably, cools large space, good energy bill

This unit has been running well since I bought it, it cools three medium open floor plan sized rooms reliably and the energy bill has remained steady or slightly less now running two window units instead of one central AC which decided to bite the dust.

What’s a pro for?

Walmart told me to contact the installer to tell them what I needed before they arrived; unfortunately the unit did not come with window slates. The pro left the unit on the ledge with no mention of slates. So, what did I pay for?

Absolutely Avoid, this AC will leak water indoors!

Unit is quiet, does cool quite well for the BTU rating, but twice the unit has caused significant water damage from the window frame bottom down the wall and laterally.

outstanding AC Unit

this AC is awesome, fits just right in the window, love how the window can close alomost all the way. we were giving all the tools we needed to cover what little gap on the sides of the AC. And I love how the vent has an option for the flap to open and shut. It gets very cold and of course connects to your phone for easy settings instead of the remote or manually. Excellent product!!!

brilliant design...doesn't fit

cool design...brilliant idea....doesn't fit....i hired Angi's to install and in it's bracket it does not fit the window will not close....Love that it is u shaped...love that it is a inverter....don't love that it doesn't fit...sorry

DO NOT BUY MIDEA

I have a Midea AC unit and it blows hot air (93 degrees hot air) when it is set on “cool,” 62 degrees, and high. My DWP bill was almost $400 in July after installing this so called energy-efficient unit. It was between $145-175 for 7 seven years before this unit. Since the day this was installed, I pay well over $300 and my living room reached 96 degrees today. DO NOT BUY MIDEA.

Motor seized up in 3 months.

Motor seized up in 3 months. Promised refund but they never sent the check. 12 weeks later, still no check. Phone calls & emails all say it is on the way, but they are lying, no check is being sent... Don't buy from this terrible company who will not back their warranty.
