Platinum Glass Finish!

Installed just a week ago. Splurged on the Cafe line. Love the look (and fingerprint resistance) of the platinum glass finish and leek look of the recessed door handles. Had to make changes to adjacent cabinet to fit the 36" size in. my limited space but very glad I did. So far I am not experiencing any issues re: noise or water dripping from the water dispenser others have noted. Would recommend that the owner's manual be updated with more detailed directions for setting internal temperatures, particularly for the adjustable temperature drawer. Will also note that there are limited options for arranging the shelves within the refrigerated section so you cannot really optimize the space. A deli drawer (or add-on accessory) would be appreciated.

Better than most

Slow ice maker if that’s something you need often. Biggest concern is how flimsy the bottom freezer door is. Moves left to right very easy feels like thin plastic is holding it in. Great space inside and the middle drawer is a great feature. The glass looks amazing. We have all stainless in our kitchen and this is tad darker in color but cleans so much easier.

Water Pitcher Poor Design. Can't disable alarm

The water container is problematic. Returned another GE fridge with same design (flaws). Had the Cafe for a month and it beeps every 30 minutes or so saying water pitcher malfunction. Even after turning off auto fill. May return this one too. Way too expensive for shoddy design and materials

Buyer Beware

Follow up to initial 4 star review, down to 3 stars now. Had to call for service after having it for 2 weeks for the auto-fill pitcher that was overflowing and sounding the alarm every day. Technician updated software and ordered a new pitcher two weeks ago, just talked to parts department and it's back-ordered until the end of OCTOBER! The auto-fill has been turned off since the technician came but it still sounds the alarm almost daily, mostly in the middle of the night. Not at all happy with the quality control of Cafe appliances because this one was a service contract replacement for a previous model I had for 2 years and was a lemon. Appliances this expensive shouldn't have this many problems. Will never buy another one. Sure, it's a beautiful refrigerator but don't buy it unless you like having to call for service repeatedly.

Great features!

I have never seen a backlit refrigerator before. It's BEAUTIFUL. Built in water pitcher that fills and refills itself. No ice in the door but that makes the astetics of this refrigerator beautiful. The ice in the freezer drawer is easy to get to so its well worth it. There is a middle drawer for snacks, etc that keep them cool. Perfect for apples. So much room overall!

Excellent fridge, highly recommend.

Very happy with this fridge, it is roomy and very well lit. Love that most of the shelves are moveable to adapt to different levels as needed. It runs super quiet and looks sleek. The ice function works great and is located in the freezer area. It was pricier than most fridges but was well worth the cost. Only wish we would have purchased it sooner.

I love the fridge. Design and the amount of space it has. Love the auto fill pitcher option. Only problem I have is the pitcher was broken upon delivery and installation. Best Buy said they will send a new one. Waited almost a month and still nothing. I called cafe’s warranty department directly and they were nice enough to send me a new one. Although they said that Best Buy should be the ones responsible. Should be here within the next week.

Cafe is beautiful!

I love this fridge ! Very spacious and the LED back light is very bright and elegant looking! At first , I thought the inside of the fridge would be too dark for me, but it was just fine! The extra shelf in the freezer is wonderful for flat items. I love the pitcher in the fridge w the spigot. I have nothing bad to say about my cafe fridge.

Best Refrigerator Ever

Love our new refrigerator. The outside is relatively maintenance free. No fingerprints! The inside has been thoughtfully designed for convenience and the back wall is lighted so things are easy to find. I particularly like the self filling water pitcher and I hadn't been sure of that until I found out how useful it is. We have only had this refrigerator for a month so I know I will discover even more features that I love!

Beautiful, classy looking refrigerator

I just received my Cafe refrigerator in platinum glass today. As far as looks go, 10/10. Even the delivery guy commented on how nice it is. No magnets will stick to the front which I’m glad about because it swill stay looking nice. It also takes some adjusting to no real handles but i think it’ll hold up better. I was hesitant about going with GE again since our last fridge died within 3.5 years. I can’t speak for the longevity or efficiency, but so far I’m very happy.

Love this refrigerator

I'm in love with this refrigerator. My most favorite of all the ones I've ever owned. The pitcher of continual water in the door is genius. No more water leaks inside or outside from the water dispenser. The lighted back is a super wow factor. Very stylish. The bonus drawer that can either be refrigerator or freezer is so smart and versatile. I was skeptical of the 3 drawers in the freezer section, but after putting all my food in there, it keeps it so organized with smaller items not getting lost because there is a small freezer drawer for them. I would not only highly recommend this refrigerator, but I will buy it again if this one ever goes out...

Great fridge

Love the back light feature and versatility of shelves and drawers. One negative, which may just be a problem with my unit, is that the shelf in the freezer where the ice bin is located, always slides back. It would be a lot more convenient if it stayed forward. The only other negative is that the ice bin doesn't hold enough ice if you have a bunch of people over having drinks. All that being said I would purchase again because overall it's a great fridge

Watch delivery team carefully for install,setup.

More room for food, and the condiment storage is plentiful. I did not like that the delivery people did not make sure all the tape on the inside and outside of the refrigerator and storage container boxes were not taken out of the freezer drawer and installed. The delivery people also did not bring the newly purchased water hose with them. They used the existing water hose that was on the old fridge. Also make sure they check to see the water dispenser is working and show you how to setup temperatures . The delivery people seemed that they needed to get in and get out quickly. Unlike the delivery people that installed our old fridge 2 and a half years ago, they did an excellent delivery and set up job.

Sensible, Visible, Accessible

We love the layout of this fridge - quite the intuitive arrangement. Everything is so sensible, visible, and accessible. The inside as well as the outside is beautiful. We love the back-lighting and dark wall interior. We can see our foods much more clearly. And the glass front over the stainless steel makes the doors appear fingerprint-free. We also notice that our produce seems to last longer than it did in our former refrigerator. Very pleased with our purchase!

Beware of this product

I wish I could rate it lower. The handles have come lose multiple times, we had to replace a part due to dripping from the ice machine. There is not much cold water from the dispenser. The auto fill does not work as expected. Delivery was a nightmare and you cannot reach anyone with GE to discuss the issues, you just get passed from one person to the next. The service person has been great, but each time we make an appointment for repair their is always a delay the day prior or day of service. I regret buying GE and will not make the same mistake again. Beware of this product and manufacture!

Autofill pitcher leaks

Recent purchase. Fridge looks great and has a large capacity. Bought it for the autofill pitcher but it leaks!!!! Everday there is a puddle of water that I need to wipe off. Turns out that water is leaking from the spout on the pitcher. A replacement pitcher is $150. Debating on what to do. Already spent quite a bit of money on the fridge. Dissatisfied with the quality control.

Great fridge with no beverage center!

We looked at the platinum glass set for weeks, and the only thing holding us back was we didn't want a beverage center. I randomly checked the website and BAM new fridge without the beverage center! Bought that day and I'm so glad I did. The fridge has a lot of room and has been great for us. The cons: it would be better if the shelves in the door of the fridge were a bit more customizable, the ice maker should be able to make more (and better) ice, and the freezer drawers can be awkward at times when trying to open the right drawer. However, the sleekness, the look, the build, and everything else outweighs any of that. It's been great - glad we got it.

This fridge is so sleek and gorgeous, its sight might make you cry. Everything works so flawlessly and seamlessly. One of the best features is a fillable and removable pitcher for water. I use this pitcher daily to fill my coffee maker. The backlighting is stunning and highlights everything within. The shelves are all moveable and one shelf can be shortened for taller items below. The freezer is so deep and has two sliding drawers to keep things from being lost in freezer. The convertible middle drawer is a welcome feature depending on your needs. This fridge is gorgeous and fully functional for everyone’s needs.
