Good washer for small spaces
We have only had the washer for three weeks, but so far so good. We have not yet tried all of the cycles, but the ones we have tried work well. The washer is easy to use, very quiet, and offers a lot of options for cleaning different types of fabrics and dealing with different soil levels. We especially like the extra rinse option, which gets all the soap out of stretch fabrics and helps with sensitivity to detergents.
Get The Installation Instructions Before Using!
Our washer came with no installation instructions. We put it in our motorhome and ran a load. The spin cycle was so violent that I told my husband it has to go back. After reading reviews, we found there are 3 shipping bolts on the back panel of the washer that need to be removed per the shipping instructions. They hold the drum during shipping so needless to say a spin cycle did not do well. I downloaded the shipping instructions from Electrolux and now it works like a charm. Very quiet now!
Do not buy
I bought these machines during a renovation. Didn’t set them up for a couple weeks due to a delay with the Reno. Upon set up, it was missing the water supply lines that were supposed to have come with the machine. Had to go out and buy my own.
Nice and Clean
When we had to replace our old front load washer, I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find one shallow enough in depth to fit in our laundry room. The depth on this Electrolux stackable model is shallow enough but it was much shorter than expected. (I also had to buy a new new dryer that is a different brand and height which wasn’t a concern.) much to my pleasant surprise the shorter Electrolux washer works just fine!
Take out the SHIPPING BOLTS
I bought this washer as a replacement for our old washer to go in our fifth wheel trailer in which we live. I opened up the box and found a quick start guide and then installed it in our trailer. The measurements on the website did not include the extra inch on the door’s handle. But I figured I could still make it work, which I eventually did by adding a 1 inch furring strip to the doors. However, when I first installed it and ran the first load, the thing violently shook, and actually walked out of the compartment in which it was installed. Previous reviews stated the same thing and that the item is poorly made and defective. So I pulled it out of the trailer put it in the truck and I was going to return it in the morning. However, I was finally able to get a hold of customer service after hours via text and the lady asked me if I removed the shipping bolts. So I returned to the instructions and saw a faint picture of the bolts that are to be removed. I removed the bolts and the thing ran extremely smooth. I suspect that in the reviews where they spoke of violent shaking and walking was because they did not remove the shipping bolts either. The next morning I called customer service and spoke with somebody who was very familiar with this washing machine and sent me very explicit instructions on how to install it. I only wish those instructions were initially included in the box or at least have sticker on the bolts saying to remove them. My wife absolutely loves this machine. It is very quiet too.
door is not reversible
Lowe's specifications say that the door is reversible but it clearly is not. Electrolux does make full size washers with reversible doors but not compact washers. I cannot find a compact washer with a reversible door. I haven't used the washing machine so my one star reflects only that Lowe's guidance is incorrect.
Apartment washer
This machine is amazing. Had almost a year now. As others said, only put like half the drawer of soap and that’s plenty. Owned several other brands previously and this one has zero vibration as long as you don’t overload it. Wipe the rubber seal dry after wash and, of course, leave the door cracked and you’re set.
Mold Issues
We purchased a similar model to this 2 years ago and HATE it. We've been plagued with constant mold spots on our clean clothes. We've run dozens of "clean machine" loads with vinegar or bleach and removed & scrubbed the "fins" that leave the pattern of mold dots, with no improvement. This machine has ruined hundreds of dollars of our clothes! No previous machine has ever had this problem. So very disappointed with Electrolux.
Fits in a small space and gets clothes clean.
One of very few washers that fit in my 31" deep laundry closet (minus 4" for the plumbing). Aside from size, chose this because it is 10% larger than competitors (2.4 cu. ft. vs 2.2), runs on120V, ok brand/reviews, and price is lower than most competitors. Used to do five loads a week with my top loader. I do seven loads a week with this unit. Legs are plastic and not self leveling. Water gets on the floor when you clean the pump filter.
Horrendous
I can't believe this washer is on the market. During spin cycle, the unit vibrates forcefully and moves across the floor. It almost tore itself out of the wall and took out our hot water heater. The vibration shakes the entire two story house we live in. And the force with which it travels is enough to SEVERELY INJURE one of our small children. We are all terrified of the machine, not to mention the noise it makes which the neighbors can hear. Many people have the same issues. Do NOT buy it.
24" Compact washer w/LuxCare Wash System
My experience with Electrolux washers and dryers has been excellent until I had to deal with the company. We bought a Electrolux washer & dryer two years ago when the washer had a leak problem on the main value. We waited for 9 months for a replacement valve but none were available anywhere on the East Coast distributors. The company's response was they had no idea when the part would be available. After cleaning up water for 9 months after each wash we ended up buying another washer. Lucky I took out a maintenance contract for 5 years with the seller. They gave me credit on the old washer and replaced it with a new Electrolux washer with some additional monies added from me. The equipment is very good but if there is a problem the manufacture will not give you any help. We do like the new washer but am hoping nothing goes wrong with it.
Happy. Until we were weren't.
Low vibration as the machine is careful about initiating higher speed spin, takes time to balance load. Mild rocking on spin at times, no biggie. Day 1 after test cycle plus one other cycle, put on antivibration pads to see if eased rocking (it did not), and with that airflow beneath the machine, there was a strong, putrid, scent of something akin to vomit/feces coming from UNDER the machine at the back. Inside of machine did not smell. Per call to Electrolux, the scent happens in 2 out of 10 units. They said that it was mildew (I guess from when they tested the machine?). They wanted to repair it. We sent it back. And now I am supposed to clean the laundry room and contents, which is a pain, and moreso without a laundry machine, as we keep clearning linens in the closet. Laundromat, here we come!
Great compact washer with a wide range of features
I bought this washer a month ago, and it has worked exceptionally well. To be honest, there are almost too many features for me (I'm used to a much more basic machine). I have cleaned my parents soiled towels and sheets using the "sanitize" option and they come out sparkling clean. I love the "tap cold" temperature option (vs. cold), and use it for my darks.
Very disappointed. Don't buy this product!
We purchased this washer 10 days ago (together with the stackable dryer and the stacking kit) and very unhappy with its performance. We tried different settings and spinning speeds but the washer is very loud, vibrates, shakes and moves like crazy when its in the spinning mode even when we select the lowest spinning mode. We are afraid that the stacked dryer on top is going to fall off as the washing machine vibrates so bad. You think that a plane is having a rough landing when it starts to spin!.
Washes well, interface a bit clunky
This is our first front loader. We have a small wash area, so wanted a compact machine. Having a compact washer really saves a lot of room in a smaller area and would recommend anyone to consider it if you are bit tight on space.

This machine is absolutely fantastic so far (we’ve had it for about a month). We’re using about 1/3 as much detergent, our clothes are coming out cleaner, and it’s way easier on our clothing than our old top loader/agitator washer. It barely uses any water at all, I honestly don’t understand the voodoo by which it gets our clothing so clean.
Europe company, made in Mexico, best size for newly tight spaces
Many of us are having to move to compacts for the first time, because machines got fat and deep since the first iterations of front loads that are now aging out -- and top loaders open too high for cabinets. This is the largest c.ft. of the compacts. Hate to pay more for smaller size, but happy to see it working nicely on day two with an impressive spin and quiet operation. A little concerned about bam bam, my wife who treats newly sensitive gear like they were made in the 1970s, operating the power button. Very fragile there, like a laptop power button, you wouldn't hard-mash that. Me, I fix everything here, so I live like I am in a bonsai garden raking sand gently, so I don't mash anything new and designed sensitive. Read the manual. Print page 16 and post it so the setting choices make sense. Turn the chime off so when done it does not squawk. Make sure it is dead level. Don't put anything heavy on the top if not stacking; and kiss your old full size away and say hello to this larger compact in in these condos that have depth problems for the too fat and too tall full size units.
