Morning glory

There are not many better things you could wake up to than TK-02. It’s like going to Starbucks without all of the BS and cost! My machine makes everyone in our household a perfect cup regardless of what they enjoy. The maintenance and cleaning is a breeze that anyone can do because of the simple to follow instructions on the screen in front of you. I can’t find one single complaint or additional options that could be assigned to this machine.

Latte quick and easy

We really like the TK-02. In the morning turn it on, get the milk out and in about 1.5 minutes we have a perfect latte. My wife does latte I do Cappuccino. The simplicity is great. Keep it clean and on tip top shape is a breeze with the reminders. I wish the machine would utilize less water but I guess it must be needed to keep everything clean inside. We have the white color and do not regret. Black is just too blah and will show any speck of dust. One more thing, when you buy a machine is not just the machine, it is the company that makes that creates a good experience. I only had to request help once. Sent an email, in less than 1/2 hour I had a reply and a solution....and the customer support is not from overseas which is another bonus. Happy to know that we are supporting our local economy (although the machines are still made overseas).

Very poor support

It occurs to me that one of the reasons that support is so poor is because it is most likely AI. The responses seem machine-like with very little knowledge of the issue. As an embedded software dev I try to give as much detail as possible but clearly no one or no thing cares.

Well worth the wait!!

I was one of the first round of backers of the TK02, and I received my TK02 back in January. Since then, it has been the subject of constant use and has brewed some 800 shots of espresso thus far.

Pretty good upgrade from the TK-01

I was able to upgrade from a TK-01 to the TK-02 since it's 2 year past lifespan and having defects from the steam system. So far it is pretty accessible to make coffee from the app. It's easy to access the bin, milk froth, and water container without moving the machine to access it. Maintenance is more user friendly and helpful than the previous machine.

Very Nice Machine

I pre-ordered my TK-02 probably almost 2 years ago and it finally arrived a couple of months ago. It's taken me a while to become acquainted with it but things are settling in. As background, I am coming from a Miele CM6350 and had a Jura prior to that. Like most, I was a little disappointed by the coffee temperature but that was rectified via an OTA, which is great. I find the integration between the app and the machine a little clunky given it's always asking me to sync with either the machine or app settings. It should just sync in the background no matter where the changes were made. Also annoying is they haven't programmed the low bean warning and a shut down of the brew if there are no beans. And it would be more convenient if a 2 shot setting would brew together vs. 2 separate back to back shots. But the interface is great, it pulls a nice shot, the steamed milk and foam works fantastic, much better than either machine I've owned prior. Would be nice to have a ristretto recipe/setting. The housing is really all plastic, which keeps it from having the premium feel of a metal machine, but that doesn't affect performance. All in all, I'm happy with the machine, I like that it can and will be improved via OTA's and the coffees do taste excellent.

Better than I could have ever imagined

I ordered my TK-02 during the 2023 Pre-Order Sale and waited patiently for 14 months before being surprised with a delivery on Valentine's Day 2024. It was truly love at first sight and the TK-02 exceeded my expectations! It makes tasty cappuccinos and lattes, as well as some impressive drip coffee.

All-in-one

Solid machine. Very easy to make and customize any kind of coffee drink including drip coffee. There are a few shortcomings. Steamed milk isn't very hot. It's hard to clean the inside where the grounds are processed so a bitter flavor builds up. It uses a lot of water so you have to change the tank, drip tray and ground chute frequently. Lastly you can't customize drip drinks but maybe a software update will fix this in the future. You can program yourself an automatic morning coffee but turning on the machine wastes water so if you leave a cup and set it to brew automatically, it will also contain the waste water. Overall a great machine and fun to use.

Excellent Coffee Machine + Design

Let’s start off by talking about the design. Overall aesthetically pleasing design. Love all the magnets. Few drawbacks: Water tank is smaller than it needs to be. Bottom tray gets filled quite frequently. The coffee is really good. Especially the drip. The drip is sick! But really you have to use good quality coffee and you gotta brew it right. Swirl your cups with hot water before to get a sick hot cup because one coffee isn’t hot enough.

Amazing Product and Setup

We received it just a few days ago and wow. We have been using another machine for about 4 years now and we loved that machine until I saw the making of the TK02. Talk about coffee made down to the smallest detail of your liking. Product came very well packaged, great instructions to start, everything is located in front for easy access with magnetic attachments to make sure doors and lids property stay secure. I will give this a full 5 star review to include the use of the app to control your profile of what coffee you like and the detail of your likings. Holds a great amount of coffee beans, great size for water reservoir, great size for coffee grounds used, and drip size is just as great. Any low or full levels, the coffee machine will tell you. The price was more then we wanted to spend but I do see why and its worth it. If you like your coffee in a certain way down to the little details, then this machine is for you. Also when making your choice of drink, it is quiet compared to other machines we have used. Thanks again for a great machine!

Great machine!

The TK-02 has been a great purchase! I would highly recommend. It takes some playing with to dial your perfect brew or perfect espresso, but the coffee is still great while dialing it in.

TK-02 Review

The TK-02 is great, but come in with the right expectations. After 2 months with my TK-02, I have enjoyed the machine and have my go-to iced cappuccino (in time for spring). The sleek design paired with the technical capabilities is unlike any other machine on the market, at its price point.

Wanted to love...

I really want to love my tk-02. But there's just a few little things that are making it not the machine I expected:

Great coffee machine...but not perfect

I love my new TK-02. It does so many things very well. Excellent cup of coffee directly from whole beans or ground coffee. A wealth of configuration and customization options. Included milk/cream frother/steamer. But after brewing over 200 various cups of different coffee-based drinks, I do have a few areas for improvement.

Well worth the wait!

Everything that wasn’t perfect about TK-01 has been addressed in the TK-02, and I am officially obsessed. The front access is a major upgrade, and the flawless operation that produces no mess are my top two favorite aspects of this machine. But still, there’s so much more to love! Endless ways to customize my drink. A self cleaning cycle that I don’t have to think about. Auto sleep/wake features so my machine is ready when I get up. Better bean hopper design that allows gravity to keep the beans flowing into the grinder. The only “con” so far is my husband wasn’t prepared for the automatic sleep cycle, and when it started, it scared the heck out of him. 🤣

After a healthy wait, my TK-02 is setup in my Personal Training Studio & brewin away. The machine is 5 stars no doubt!

Not quite what they promised

We purchased the TK-02 with the expectation that it would support 15oz drip coffee’s in a single pour. It launched with support for 8.4oz. This was hugely disappointing. Also, temperature for drinks is off by at least 40 degrees so if you are expecting that by setting your drink temperature to 205f, it will likely come out closer to 160f for things like an americano and even lower for drip coffee. If you go for expresso, expect luke warm at best.

Everything I wanted and more

Not gonna lie — waiting over a year for a coffee machine sounds like a crazy idea. I am aware of this. HOWEVER, since I loved TK-01 as much as I did (a lot), it was a risk I was willing to take. Truthfully, it didn't really feel like a risk at all. Plenty of hi-tech devices have been launched through the likes of Kickstarter, plus Terra Kaffe has a pretty ironclad reputation, so I wasn't worried. And rightfully so; this machine is everything I had dreamed of and then some.
