[Rewarded Review] Bosch 300 Series Dishwasher Installation

This dishwasher works as expected, its very quiet and efficient at cleaning everything we've thrown at it; its a great addition to our kitchen. The only negative comments I have pertain to the installation and components included with the dishwasher. Surprisingly the store where we bought the dishwasher could not tell me if the dishwasher came with a power cord or if I needed anything else, but I bought a power cord just in case, but then had to return it as the dishwasher did have one included. As it relates to the electrical connection, Bosch should have included its junction box as standard, as many older dishwashers had direct wiring from the breaker panel to a connection on the dishwasher itself. Bosch’s connection method required another trip to the hardware store to buy an appropriate junction method; a bit frustrating. And as it relates to installation, two gripes: 1.) Pictures of the actual dishwasher, its hoses & wiring connections and attachment to the cabinetry would have been more valuable than the rudimentary drawings provided. Line drawings may be useful for certain items, but not for an expensive dishwasher. 2.) The method used to attach the dishwasher to side cabinets seems very flimsy and poorly thought out and here’s where the line drawings made matters more confusing than they should have. I gave the dishwasher itself five stars, but instructions & included components could use more effort & attention on the part of Bosch.

When the 18 year old Bosch said, I'm tired, it was a no brainer to invest in a second one. I still researched and comparedresearch and went with a Bosch.

[Rewarded Review] Did Someone Run the Dishwasher?

The only problem with this dishwasher is in the display. The cycle complete notification goes off after 10 minutes. It's quiet. It cleans well. It's easy to use. However, if someone starts a cycle and leaves, the only way for someone else to know is to open the dishwasher, pull out a rack and inspect the dishes. Minor but annoying.

After 1 initial hiccup, it runs like a dream. It's very quiet and that is important since our TV room is connected to the kitchen. We hardly know it's on. The many choices give you an array to work with for just the right setting.

I had to replace my old Whirlpool dishwasher and I remembered how much my mother loved her Bosch. I also read a lot of reviews and I saw that this model was highly rated by Good Housekeeping. I couldn't be happier with it. It's quiet and gets the dishes clean, even with my hard water. I am thrilled with this purchase!

Bosch 300 series dishwasher

Other than the wait time once I ordered the appliance, the fuswasher is great. Very quiet. 3 shelves allow for more space. I like the silverware on top. Seems like they are cleaner than when the stand upright with all the other silverware.

Dishes, utensils, pots & pans look better than new after a trip in our new Bosch 300. I'm still learning to load it properly to fit as much in as possible. I'm getting better all the time. The only downside is I have a hard time seeing the functions. Use a flashlight. And, the soap pellet cup cover is a bit tricky to close and snap shut.

Delivery was excellent!

The fellows who delivered the dishwasher were great. I haven't hooked it up yet so can't comment on how it functions.

Lots of wasted space

The bottom rack tine orientation, and the tines that do lay down sitting directly next to another set that does not fold down, makes no sense to us. We have tried every way imagineable to load this dishwasher efficiently, including the manufacturer's diagram on how to load this machine, and it does not work with our dishes. Whoever designed this has probably little experience, if any, using the variety of kitchenware found in the average house.

I very happy with this dishwasher. It cleans everything well including pots and pans. I don't use the third rack too much but it's a nice option for the few times I have used it.

Our new Bosch dishwasher is exceeding expectations. We have an open plan home and love how quiet it is! The first time we used it we stood next to it for several minutes because we couldn't tell it was actually running! The dishes are clean and we like the layout for loading dishes, very flexible. Excellent work Bosch!

Glad We Bought It

Love the spacing inside, all our dishes fit nicely. The top, 3rd rack, is great for serveware and small ramekins, a real spacesaver. We're glad we bought it.

Bosch missed a few quality checks on this one

First off, the dishwasher (Bosch 300, white, front control) looks great. The delivery and installation went smoothly. After the installer left, I ran the dishwasher on the 60 minute cycle. SO LOUD!!! I tried running it on the longer cycle. SO LOUD!!! I called the installer to see if he would come back and take it back to the store. He was unable to do so and suggested I contact the store which I did. Lowe's is scheduled to exchange this one with a Bosch 500. Issues with the 300: LOUD, when I got a decibel meter and measured the decibels it is averaging 59-60 decibels, not 48. The RInse Aid dispenser is defective and rinse aid just runs down the door (seems to be an issue with some Boschs). This model does NOT have any fold down tines despite what the online description states. Lowe's so far has been great about working with me on a replacement. Thank you Jonathan!

Cutlery Tray not a fav.

We bought our dishwasher a month ago and we are happy with the quietness and efficiency. Love the quick cycle. Dishes have always come out clean. Con: I would likely not buy one with the 3rd rack again. It was much easier just to toss the cutlery in the cutlery rack at the bottom. The bottom rack no longer fits my large baking sheets and it's likely due to the 3rd rack taking up room.

THe diswasher is quiet and seems to clean well. The major problem I have is the tynes are nearly all at an angle and that makes loading the dishwasher efficiently too difficult. If I were buying another diswasher, I would not buy this model with the angled tynes. I

The utensil tray requires more labor than putting the utensils in a basket but the basket provided is too small for a normal dishwashing load.
