GE Profile Cooktop
So far so good. Performs as expected. Waiting for the hiccups. Will keep you posted.
Broken and didn’t honor warranty
We bought the GE profile 30” cooktop and had it installed. It didn’t work properly, it would cook slower than it should, it wouldn’t allow us to use more than one burner at a time, and sometimes burners just would randomly not work. We have had multiple service tech visits. They tried to repair it and it didn’t work so they said it needed to be replaced. GE would not replace it even though it hadn’t been a year since it was installed. They offered to sell us a new one at a discount. We were told on the phone that the warranty would be honored but then they didn’t do it. Just mixed messages and lots of back and forth and time wasted. The customer service hasn’t been good to say the least. I will not be purchasing GE kitchen products going forward. I have used cheaper induction cooktops from less well know brands that have worked amazingly. Now I guess I’m stuck with a partially functioning cooktop or have to replace on my own.
Power Boil feature placement is wrong
Do not like the power boil feature in the large burner. The large burner on my old cooktop heated up quickly and the power boil was on the back burner which was perfect
Range top
Bought it this month and it works like a range top should. Do not need Wi-Fi for cooking
Defective out of the box
Love the totally smooth surface with touch controls and no knobs, which makes cleaning much easier. Out of the box, however, my cooktop had a problem where the "hot warning" on one of the burners did not work. Disappointed to have a problem with a 1 day old product.
I love my GE Profile appliances
I have had only GE Profile glass top stove tops to cook on for the last 25 years with no issues. It was a no brained, when we decided to up date our kitchen I chose a GE Profile glass top stop top.
GE stovetop and cabinet hood
Have had it for a week, works great. I had an earlier version from 18 years ok. I like my current version with no knobs just touch screen
Cooktop
Love that there are no knobs to clean around and under. So far, loving the cooktop. Would love to be able to turn up the volume on the timer. Possible?? It's barely audible.
Knobless
Can't hear the timer. Is there an adjustment for the volume? Everything else is Great.
Keep Looking
Keep looking. This cooktop does not compare to my old GE cooktop. For one thing, only one large burner. And it takes forever to heat up. I should have gotten a convection cooktop. I ordered this one sight unseen, my fault. I told the sales person my only requirement was no knobs. She said this was the only model without. I should have gone with another brand. Not happy with GE appliances anymore, quality has really gone down.
This electric cooktop is easy to clean but yet hard to get the smears off. After wiping up splatters, I use glass cooktop cleaner. It distributes heat almost evenly through my 5 quart braiser, on the largest burner. Having a gas cooktop previously, I do prefer gas over electric.
Great cooktop
I like the smooth flat surface. I was going to purchase an induction cooktop but when I reviewed this model I changed my mind. I like the controls and how accurate each ring can maintain the temperature set point and how quickly they reach the required temperature.
GE Cooktop
The cooktop is 3 weeks old. The unit works well for all aspects of cooking.
Great Features especially the two burner combo
Easy to install and great to operate and keep clean
[Rewarded Review] Good Clean Top
I like the cooktop without the knobs, but the adjustments now aren't as precise as turning the old knobs. It's easy to clean the top without having to clean under the knobs. There are three smaller eyes on this top with one large eye. Two of the smaller eyes can be used together for a griddle.
Good features.
Easily ordered on line. Arrived early. Easy installation
Perfection!
Finally upgraded coil burner stove to ceramic glass cooktop top. The GE Profile we purchased heats quickly and evenly. Pan fried steaks seared and browned nicely and reduced heat maintained to finish cooking to tender perfection!
Excelent product
The product is above my expectations!!!because through technology it facilitates the food preparation process. I love it
Would not buy anything from GE again, terrible service
Various buttons on the cooktop do not function from when we opened the box. I put a service call into GE the second day we got it. We had a service technician out who said it needs to be replaced. 3 weeks later and I am still fighting with GE to get a replacement.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful but glass top is fragile
2 days after installation a bottle fell at the edge of the lower left burned and the glass broke and cracked.
