Beyond disappointed with Samsung
I purchased this dishwasher 2/14/2024. While I was cleaning my kitchen today I noticed a crack in the recessed handle. I had purchased it from Lowes as well as the extended warranty. I reached out to Lowes for the claim and was immediately directed to Samsung. They will not cover the defect saying that it is a cosmetic issue. I said no it is a mfg defect, a design flaw. I have to pull on the recess handle to open up the dishwasher, and was still told no it is a cosmetic issue. I asked if when it started interfering with the control panel if that would be covered and was told no again. This no was because I was not willing to pay for a repairman to come out and service my dishwasher. I haven'e even had it 9 months and it was cracked...whether it cracked because we opened it or because the heat that comes out when it automatically opens when finished...it still cracked. My dishwasher does not open into anything, nor did I accidentally hit it to break. There are other additional stress fractures in the cheap plastic that is called a recessed handle. I have many Samsung appliances and will not replace them with any more if this their customer service. I even said ship it to me and I will put it on, but I am not paying for someone to come out, look at it and order the part and then pay for another service call to install the broken part. IT IS A MANUFACTURER DESIGN FLAW. They will not stand by their product.
[Rewarded Review] Super quiet and thorough Dishwasher A+ upgrade
I bought this dishwasher roughly 1 month ago and I couldn’t be happier with it. It replaced a 12 year old Amanda dishwasher that was plastic and was loud enough that when it was on, we had to turn the TV volume up in order to hear the TV. The touch interface is really nice and the different setting work really well. The wash quality from my old dish washer to this one was night and day, I am able to fit everything I did in my old dish washer plus more. We use chopsticks a lot and having the third utensils rack is a blessing. No more. Trying to find space on the grates to place the chopsticks so they don’t fall through and stop the waster from rotating.
DO NOT BUY----- TERRIBLE PRODUCT
We have had the Bespoke dishwasher going on a little over a year. When we first got the dishwasher, it worked great, we absolutely loved it until we hated it. Months after having it, we started having problems with it not running properly. You would start a cycle, the dishwasher would run but it wasn't running with any water, just the motor ran. We would change the dishwasher settings to auto or just normal, and when we were lucky the dishwasher would run on normal storm wash setting. After reading many reviews, a lot of other people have had or have been having the same issues that we have been having with our dishwasher. I reached out to Samsung Care Support, which I have to say the customer service was good, considering I haven't heard good things about their customer service. We were given instructions to troubleshoot the dishwasher. We troubleshooted it, and we still continued to have the same issues. I reached back out to customer service to start a ticket for someone to come to my home and service the dishwasher. The gentleman that came out was helpful and honest with us, he said most likely that the repairs needed probably wouldn’t be covered under the 5-year warranty. He diagnosed our dishwasher, the touch pad and the board inside the dishwasher went bad. To us, that is an electronic issue in the dishwasher hints (touch pad), to Samsung this is not an electronic issue, and therefore it is not covered under the 5-year warranty. After parts and labor, it would cost us more to fix the dishwasher than it cost us when we bought the dishwasher... with that being said we have no other choice but to buy a new dishwasher. It blows my mind that Samsung is allowed to sell such a terrible product on the market. I can't say it enough..... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS DISHWASHER.
Criminal - Do Not Buy
Basically theft. Might as well throw your money away if you buy this junk. Just a little over the one year warranty this trash dishwasher began to only intermittently work. Even if you get it to work, only one single setting, NORMAL works. Now about 1.5 years the touch board buttons stoped working, the chime stoped working. Though they market 5 year electronic warranty, it basically covers no electronics. We found out after having a Samsung tech come out, had to pay 150 for just that. Then it'd be an additional 500 to fix the board and he said that I may also be the main board that's bad. This is absolutely theft. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG TRASH. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS OR CUSTOMERS.
Horrible Dishwasher-Horrible Customer Service
We bought this dishwasher about a year ago. There are multiple problems
Stay away from Samsung dishwashers!
I bought this dishwasher 2 years ago. In the last 2 years, I have hand washed my utensils for at least 4 months. Some or other problem will pop-up with this dishwasher every few month. It started with the Leak Code issue in the first week itself. After trying several fixes it worked after 3-4 days. Several non-working episodes happened after that. Samsung changed the whole door one time under warranty. We thought that was the core reason and will work for long time after that. But, it lasted only 6 months. From last 5 weeks dishwasher is not working due to latch or sensor issue. Samsung is not covering labor or inspection. I am reluctant to pay any more on this piece of garbage - what if it works again only for few months. I am highly disappointed with this product and Samsung customer service. Samsung should have returned/replaced this in the beginning itself. Also, racks adjustable feature is very unstable. I could still adjust everything but importantly, it should work.
Cant Recommend This Dishwasher
Door open feature for drying stopped working in a week. Layout for dishes not that great. Cup glass setting feature useless. Doors that cover the silverware box hits side parts when pushing bottom tray in. Now I get the dreaded LC code because a few drops of water got into the pan and on the leak sensor which causes the machine to stop working and will not even allow you to turn off at the power switch. If you turn it off it just comes back on blowing the fan that doesn't even get to the pan to dry it out. I had to shut the breaker off to get it to shut up. Terrible design! $883 down the drain! Problem is, I really cant tell you what brand to get anymore - They are all crap! Good Luck
Quiet, but disappointed.
I have had this dishwasher for 7 months now and I am disappointed in how much it has started to break down. Let me start with the adjustable prongs on the second rack. This mechanism broke off literally a week after using it. I’ve attempted to reattach it but it continues to just fall off. At this point, the part is sitting in a drawer because it no longer works. Second, I am disappointed that the plastic trim around the door has cracked. It’s 7 months old and it’s already cracked?! Third problem I have with this washer is the prongs are all bent out of shape. I’ve had to adjust them back into place multiple times. A simple bump of a prong and it’s out of place and will not fit a dish.
Dont Use Samsung Install! They Destroyed Our Home!
Appliance seems to work; however, installers destroyed our home! I implore you not to use Samsung installation!
SAVE YOUR MONEY
I have had this dishwasher for 6 months. I should have kept the cheap LG. You WASTE so much with this appliance. If you don't wash the dishes before putting them in, you're going to wash them when they come out. Good god, don't put anything greasy in it. Waste of water energy and soap. I have downloaded all the cycles, and there is no difference in them. 3rd rack is a joke it just takes up space, so you can't put anything in it. The middle of the top rack basically unless because of it. Bottom rack, no cookies sheets, cutting boards, airfryer tray, water bottles, tall platters, vases, plates barley fit. You hear the tinking of the top sprayer hitting the plates. But you have that spectacular top rack for all the silverware you're going to use cause you're going buy paper cause your dishes are always dirty. Least it's pretty for the price.
[Rewarded Review] Overall good dishwasher
The Samsung AutoRelease Smart 42dBA Dishwasher has received mixed feedback from us.
[Rewarded Review] Clean lines, hidden controls and QUIET
It was a long wait after the wrong dishwasher was delivered the first time. But we have the one we wanted and it fits nicely in our kitchen. I like the fingerprint resistant stainless. It looks so much nicer than our white, barely working 20 year-old dishwasher. The pocket handle is hidden and out of the way, the top pull out for utensils is a huge plus, along with the hidden controls. I'm very tech savvy and we do own a lot of Samsung products but I'm not sure the benefit of WiFi and connecting to Smart Things. Best feature is how quiet this is. We can barely hear it while in the kitchen and not at all in the great room and our home is an open floor plan. We used to wait until we went to bed before turning on the dishwasher because it was so loud. Now we can run it at any time.
Poor quality
This product was delivered to me on August 14, 2023; the first wash was the beginning of my dissatisfaction with this product. I would not waste your money on this dishwasher; it does not clean well.
[Rewarded Review] Great machine. Difficult to install.
5 star on the product itself…1 star on the installation instructions/engineering. The engineers on this team understood the assignment and built a machine that cleans and dries dishes beautifully. I cannot say the same for the folks who designed and engineered the installation or the instruction writers. Let’s start with the fact that you must wear gloves when installing or you will absolutely slice your fingers to shreds. Edward scissorhands has nothing on this dishwasher. Wear gloves. Don’t take a chance. The cuts are deep and will burn from every lemon and lime you slice when you’re making your celebration margarita. Oh the salt will sting too…. for days. Don’t celebrate too early either. The instructions for how you connect the water make absolutely zero sense. It took me thirty minutes to find the electrical hookup because the drawings are crap (electrical hookup is on the front of the machine, right site when you are facing the door, near the floor, under the rubber flap in an electrical box that you have to take apart to complete the wiring to a (not included) wiring harness/plug)…you’re welcome). Very little text and the drawings are too tiny to read or see/understand. If your drain line goes to the right, you’re going to have a heck of a time. Whoever designed this thing never installed a dishwasher into a cabinet. The hose clip meant to hold the hose will not work because the hose will stick out beyond the cabinet opening no matter how hard you try. If your line goes left you’ll probably be ok because you can snake the line back as you push the dishwasher back. But if it goes to the right you will need to gorilla tape the hose low where the clip is but to the left about 5” so the hose can bend but will be held as low as the clip. I didn’t clip or tape it the first time and when I pulled the dishwasher out after running a few times to level it and make sure there were no leaks, the hose had burn marks on it from being situated near (I’m guessing) a heating component. The hose would have eventually burned through and leaked no doubt at all. I also had to tape the electrical cord up so that it wouldn’t drop under the feet when pushing the machine back. Not ideal and very frustrating (at this point you’re realizing your fingers are sliced to bits too. You will be frustrated and questioning every decision you’ve made in life including why you chose this dishwasher) but don’t give up you’re almost there. Don’t forget the cabinet hooks. You will, and when you do you’ll remember this review say a few choice words and then pull it out again to get the hooks back on. After this it’s downhill if you have it leveled and if you have enough space to get the dishwasher gasket thingys in the tiniest space between your cabinets. Love the concept because I’m sure this reduces sound (and this bad boy is quiet I’ll tell you) but there’s got to be a better way. I messed up my Formica piece on one side of the cabinet from pushing the dishwasher into and out of the gap so many times. The gasket thingys eventually pulled the Formica off and cracked it so that’s something I’ll have to fix. I have no solution for you on this problem. If you’re cabinets are tight you’ll have to push like the dickens but by this time you’re so mad you don’t care and will kick it in if you have to. Of course you could let a Best Buy installer do this for you but I’m thrifty and like doing things myself. If the dishwasher doesn’t sit flush make them install it correctly until it does. Cleans great. Easy to load. The door opens and closes easily. The settings are easy to set (you have to push start again if you open during cycle). The water drains loudly. Not because of the pump but because it pushes the water out so quickly. That’s a little annoying I’ll be honest. Overall I’m very happy with this machine now that my fingers are healed. Glasses and plastic are clean and dry. Love the third rack and the foldable tines for pots. I use the adjustable middle rack to fit everything, Glasses are held up during wash cycle (don’t fall over), wine glasses fit nicely, little plates fit in the middle top rack and all other petty concerns. Generally a 2 hour cycle for heavily spoiled dishes but a 1.5 hour cycle works for light loads. Have fun and enjoy. Don’t forget your gloves.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful & washes well - has a couple drawbacks
I chose the white glass to make the long line of white cabinets and dishwasher look seamless, and I love the look! So classy! The top control panel is simple and practical since its out of the way of curious little fingers or casual counter leaners. The third rack is handy for little bobbles and small wares, and I love that it automatically opens to air out! The auto-open stopped about 2 months after install - but Samsung was diligent about getting someone out to repair while under warranty and it has been working great ever since. I really wanted a dishwasher with excellent drying ability - if this is important to you, beware that the dishes are still very wet after drying which is annoying - the auto-open door drying is a great feature if the dishes are going to sit a bit before putting them away. The rack prongs are a little bendy - not as sturdy as I would like...but also have flexible hinges for customizing your washing setup (big items, etc) which I don't use often but could be nice to have. One non-dealbreaker, but "nice-to-have" would be a "clean" indicator....there isn't a light or a notification that dishes are clean (unless you use the app, maybe?), so I solved it myself with a suction cup clip & a pretty little handcrafted "clean" sign. The dishwasher is really pretty, cleans well, but has a few little quirks that arent quite 5-stars, but still recommend for a first-timer like me!
Doesn't match the bespoke fridge...
I thought Bespoke was all about refined, meticulous design....nope. I bought the dishwasher just because I already had the fridge and I wanted them to compliment each other. Unfortunately they appear as if they were designed by totally different companies. The fridge has the same white glass, but all the other trim is black. On the dishwasher the trim is a cheap looking gray plastic that doesn't appear on the fridge at all. In fact it just ends up making the white glass look cheap as well, because it doesn't offer the same contrast in materials.
[Rewarded Review] DO NOT BUY- won't last past 1 year mark
I purchased the black stainless steel in Jan 2023, and 5 DAYS after the one-year warranty expired, it started leaking! And not from anywhere we could find - it might be the door seals?? My husband and I unhooked it, took it out, looked everywhere top to bottom and could not find anything indicating where a leak is occurring. We did see that the bottom panel had water and soap residue but it did not auto shut off to prevent electrocution like it is supposed to....
stay away waste of money...
I ordered this item along with the fridge, range, and microwave in summer 2023. I recieved my order on October 25th 2023. I had selected Samsung's professional installation. Installation was completed however the technician didn't run any test cycles or ensure items worked prior to leaving. I return hone from on October 25th with my wife telling me the dishwasher had an error code (LC). We called Samsung they had us go through series of things including trip breaker open door and let dry out for 24hrs. The problem persisted. We finally got Samsung to send a technician out. The technician said it was how the drain hose was ran by the Professional Samsung Installation team. Technician rerouted drain hose said it's fixed and left (NO test cycle AGAIN). Error code (LC) came back the next time we ran the dishwasher. The technician has been 2 times since he has replaced a faulty drain pump. Samsung has been unwilling to replace and item that arrived in a faulty condition. We are now at January 13th 2024. Each time we talk to someone they want to restart the process at the troubleshooting we did on day 1. Prior to this experience I would not buy anything major appliance wise that wasn't Samsung. Now I wouldn't buy a piece of bubblegum with Samsung's name on it. Not only is product I received a useless brick Samsung doesn't even pretend they want to make it right.
DON'T BUY FROM SAMSUNG.COM
WE BOUGHT OUR BESPOKE BUNDLE DURING THE HOLIDAY SALE, AFTER COMPARE THE PRICE/SERVICE WITH OTHER MAJOR STORE LIKE HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S, SAMSUNG CHARGED A LITTLE MORE, BUT INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION, WE THOUGHT SAMSUNG MUST KNOW THEIR PRODUCT THE BEST AND PROVIDE BEST TEC AND SERVICE, BUT IT TURNED OUT THE TOTALLY OPPOSITE. THEY SEND 2 DRIVERS TO INSTALL THE APPLIANCES, ONE DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE PRODUCT, ANOTHER ONE HAS TO VIDEO CHAT WITH 3RD PERSON TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CONNECT THE GAS LINE, IT MADE ME SO NERVOUS, BUT ANYWAY THEY FINISHED THE STOVE AND FRIDGE. BUT THEN THEY SAID THEY CAN'T INSTALL THE DISHWASHER, BECAUSE SAMSUNG DID NOT GIVE THEM THE PARTS THEY NEED, A PLUG CABLE AND BUNCH OTHER THINGS. WE NEED TO CALL SAMSUNG TO GET THE PARTS. WE CALLED SAMSUNG, AND THE INSTALLATION COMPANY, THEY PROMISED TO CALL BACK TO RESOLVE THIS IN 2 DAYS, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE DONE ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY-FRIDAY, BUT IT HAS BEEN 5 DAYS, OUR OLD DISH WASHER HAS GONE, NEW ONE SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIVING ROOM, 5 DAYS' DIRTY DISHES PILED IN THE KITCHEN, RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, POSSIBLY THROUGH THE CHRISTMAS, WHAT A NIGHTMARE! DON'T EVER BUY FROM SAMSUNG DIRECTLY, THEY DON'T PROVIDE THE RIGHT SERVICE, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PRODUCT IS, I COULD NOT USE, I DO NOT KNOW! ALL I KNOW IS BUYING FROM THEM IS A STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE.
[Rewarded Review] Beautiful dishwasher, practically silent
Love this dishwasher! It’s so quiet, the only noise is from the air gap which has nothing to do with the dishwasher itself. The door opening near the end of the drying cycle is such a great feature as it really helps with drying, even Tupperware. Beautiful white glass front. Very clear maintenance instructions to easily clean out the drain filters periodically to maintain performance. Also “sings” at the end of the cycle, which is adorable. Be sure to follow the instruction to swap out the brass screw cap on the dishwasher elbow for the water intake with the plastic one provided to ensure a proper seal. Using a brass screw cap can more easily damage the threading and won’t expand and contract at the same rate from the hot water which could cause leaking. Easy to swap out and had no issues. Be sure to get a dishwasher elbow that is curved, not a sharp 90 degree angle, to easily fit into the plastic screw cap.
